20 First day of college!!!!

Seeing that Lu Zuan did not speak, Shi Weiwei said, "I need you to teach me how to read lips."

Lu Zuan was shocked. She had expected many things to come out of this girl's mouth, but this request was not one of them.

Lu Zuan recovered and asked, "Why?"

Shi Weiwei looked towards the counter. After making sure that Ying Xuan was still picking up her order, she said, "I don't want Xuan to always write or type whenever she wants to talk to me. I'm supposed to be her friend, what kind of a friend would I be if I couldn't even talk to her properly."

Lu Zuan: "You could ask her to teach you sign language."

Shi Weiwei: "I did that. I'm slowly learning, but, I want to talk to Xuan normally.....I don't want her to feel like she's different."

Seeing that Lu Zuan did not reply and still looked unconvinced, Shi Weiwei continued, "Please. You might not know it, but Xuan is really insecure about her inability to speak. She would rather text me at a public place than speak in sign language. This is the reason she doesn't like people to know that she can't speak. She would rather come off as rude than have people pity her."

Lu Zuan opened her mouth. She looked behind Shi Weiwei and said, "Yeah, so I would love to meet in the cafeteria tomorrow for lunch."

Shi Weiwei did not understand what was Zuan talking about. But the next moment, Ying Xuan came and sat beside Shi Weiwei.

She looked at Lu Zuan and mouthed, "So, what were you girls talking about?"

Lu Zuan: "Oh, I was just saying that I had some errands to run. So Weiwei proposed that we meet in the college cafeteria tomorrow for lunch."

Ying Xuan looked at Shi Weiwei and gave her a thumbs-up. Lu Zuan smiled and got up, "So anyway, I'll be going now. Enjoy."

Saying this she hurried off.

Ying Xuan looked for a moment towards Lu Zuan and then at Shi Weiwei. Just as Weiwei thought Xuan would ask something and was getting ready to spin up a lie, Ying Xuan passed her a pair of chopsticks and motioned her to eat.

The next day...

It was the first day of college. Ying Xuan woke up and was shocked to see Ying Xi almost ready. She looked at the time, it was only 8:00 a.m.! Ying Xuan rubbed her eyes and sat up on the bed. She looked really cute, in her plain blue t-shirt and grey shorts, hair all shivelled up and eyes barely open. She pried her eyes open and saw Ying Xi wearing a short dress. The dress was light pink and made Xi look like an angel. Her hair were not done as she put on make-up with full concentration.

Ying Xuan rolled her eyes as she went in the bathroom. By the time she came out, Xuan was surprised to see that Xi was still not done with make-up. She opened her cupboard and stood in front of it.

Finally, Xuan decided to wear a black denim ripped jeans and an off shoulder grey top.

By the time Ying Xuan was done, she saw that Ying Xi had finished her make-up.
