12 The Offer

Nicholai's POV

"Did you get the autopsy report?" Lette asked.

"Yeah, it's on my desk go and get it. I'll be late tonight." I said to her while choosing my clothes to wear.

"Oohh, so you're on a date? With that Aiden?" she teases, I just glared at her.

"Are you just naïve or literally a fool?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Aiden kept on following us." I spoke to her while choosing my sneakers now.

"I know." I automatically looked at her and I just saw her grabbing some biscuits.

"Then, what the hell are you saying?"

"Come on sister, date does not have to be "romantically" you know?" she just explained and walk towards the door.

"Just asked him why he's following us and which syndicate he belongs. I'll just read these reports."

"What a lunatic." I just said but I cannot hide my smile, Lette changed since mom died and I can feel it.
