8 Chapter 8 : How do I get money?

Inside the sect master's chamber in the regal pagoda, sect master Balrus was seated in lotus position on a high ground which had a zabuton on it. He was smoking from the long smoke pipe like before creating an overbearing aura around him. There was also an incense burner burning beside him spreading a nice fragrance in the room. Unlike before, the room was bright this time with the sunlight of morning. The chamber was quite simple with only some paintings hanging on the wall and a table in a corner of the room and nothing much. Sect master Balrus summoned elder Dray and said to him,

"Inform disciple Zarek Felkas to come see me."

"Yes, sect master." Elder Dray bowed and left the chamber to inform Zarek.

After leaving the regal pagoda, elder Dray went straight to Zarek's quarter.

'I am sure sect master summoned Zarek to punish for breaking into the treasury hall but will it really be fine? That person clearly said Zarek is under his protection as a result even the sun fraction stopped their persuasion in the past.'

Standing in front of the door elder Dray knocked.

"Zarek, it's elder dray. I need to inform you something so open up." Elder Dray shouted.

"..."

"Zarek are you inside? Open up quickly unless you want me to barge into the quarter."

Still there was no response.

"Where the hell did he go now?"

"sigh~ I think I should ask around."

Elder Dray asked one of the passing disciples, "Did you see Zarek anywhere?"

The disciple bowed and replied, "No, I haven't seen him today."

Elder Dray then went to the cafeteria to look for Zarek.

"He isn't here either."

'Is he outside the sect?'

Elder Dray then went to the front gate to ask the guards.

"Did anyone named Zarek leave the sect?"

"Yes elder, disciple Zarek left this morning."

'hmm. He never leaves the sect. What made him go outside this time?

I should still inform sect master about this.'

In the streets of Mirovia city Zarek was walking after leaving the sect. The streets were bustling with stores and restaurants selling and people roaming.

'If I want to get out of the city without sect's permission I will need money to bribe the city guards. But how do I get money? I wasn't able to get any money from the sect as I didn't have any contribution points.' Zarek sighed.

Disciple gets contribution points by contributing in the sect. The easiest way to get contribution points is by completing missions which sect gets from other people. The people requesting the mission have to pay the sect for completion. So by completing missions disciples contribute in supporting the sect's finances.

Zarek wasn't able to earn any contribution points even after living in the sect for so long because he wasn't able to do any mission after his body became weak.

In the Sea Dragon fraction of the Siren kingdom there are 4 cities and every city has 3 sects in it. Even though the disciple of sects can leave their sect they can't leave their city without their sect's permission.

'I just came out of the sect in excitement without thinking. What should I do now to get some money?' Zarek cried inwardly.

'Now that Zerik can use aura, Can I use his aura for that? He is a puppet so it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Let's try this. If it works it will be a great source of income. This puppet is making me excited again.' Zarek smiled widely.

In the sect master's chamber sect master Balrus shouted, "What?"

"He is outside the sect? I was busy last month so I wasn't able to punish him then. Now that I called him, he is outside the sect?" Sect master Balrus sighed.

"Tell him to come visit me tomorrow when he returns."

"Yes, sect master." Elder Dray replied.

Nah nothing like that. (￣∇￣) I had the usual free time but tried some games with my friends. So wasn't able to give much time in writing.
