1 A new life

In the imperial capital Feng Qiu there is a huge mansion that belongs to a strong noble family surnamed Feng. There is a pair of twin brothers playing around in the big courtyard, when suddenly a gentle voice sounds: "Xiao'er Hu'er your father wants to give you birthday gifts".

The voice belonged to their mother who seemed to be in her late 20's. She was a very beautiful woman and probably the prettiest in the kingdom, her beauty made other women feel inferior.

The kids ran towards their mother and hugged her before heading to a spacious hall, where a man was standing there proudly. That man was their father. He had a domineering aura and looked to be in his early 30's. The man was really handsome. To the neighboring kingdoms he was known as the undefeated General, with an unfathomable cultivation base and his talent he was above all but the Emperor. Even the imperial princes dared not go against him.

"My sons soon you shall start cultivating" he said before giving them 1 ring each.

These rings were none other than the legendary treasures known as spatial rings. These things could not be bought with money, only if one stumbled upon them in some ancient ruins could they get such treasures.

The boys were in awe so the man coughed lightly twice before saying "In those rings you can find many things to aid you in your cultivation, from gold to martial arts manuals. Since you have reached the age of 9, tomorrow you shall start practicing our family techniques. They are hard to understand but as the heirs to the Feng family they shouldn't be impossible" said the man while laughing and patting their heads.

"Let us attend the banquet now shall we?" Said Long Qinge the mother of the kids. And so they walked forward to the designated room where they were greeted by quite a lot of nobles. The 3rd prince and the 2nd princess were also present as they had grown up together.

The celebration was over and everyone left to their respective residences, until only the Feng family remained.

Feng Zhong ordered the servants to clean everything up while the couple and their kids went to their respective rooms to sleep the night.

The next day.

The children headed towards the dining room to join their parents for breakfast, only to find out that their parents were not there. Young masters Xiao and Hu went looking for housekeeper Lin to inquire about their parents disappearance, however all they received was a message left by them saying there was an urgent matter that required their presence. The kids then calmed down and went back for breakfast.

A day went by and they had yet to return. A day turned into a week and a week into a month. With every passing day they were worrying even more as rumors were spreading of their parents death. The two young masters went to visit uncle Emperor to ask for help. Emperor Yi Xia tried to calm them saying "Don't worry I believe your father is alive he is the undefeated general after all. But if you want to search for them you have to become stronger, I am aware you have in possession your family's cultivation manual. You should first start practicing so you can join a sect in 6 years. Being your father's sons you should have no problem joining a good sect. Now you should go and practice I have arranged you a courtyard, your cousin Yi Fan shall lead the way."

The courtyard arranged to them by the Emperor was very big with a beautiful and tall peach blossom tree in the middle which exuded a radiance and gave people the urge to practice martial arts beneath it.

When the two brothers met with this scene they were amazed, this tree had a soothing feeling to it and even made them forget about their parents missing for a moment. Third prince Yi Fan wanted to stay with them, but he did not wish to disturb them so he quietly left and headed towards his room. Feng Xiao and Feng Hu exited the trance state they were in after a while and went to practice.

A week had gone by but they were unable to understand the "Fiery Circulation" method their father gave them. A few days passed by and they gradually started to understand the profound meanings of their precious method.

However this method was different from the others it required the practicioner to create 9 different dantians. After being unable to advance they searched through their stuff and found nine pills each and notes saying that only by combining the "Fiery Circulation" method with those pills can someone create nine dantians. The pills and this method were unheard of and so the kids were in a daze and almost failed to notice the warning below:"do not consume more than 1 in the span of 2 weeks or you will be crippled".

This warning sent shivers down the brothers spines as they looked at each other.

Dedicated to search for their parents the kids immersed themselves in cultivation. Their lives now consisted only of eating to sustain themselves, practicing "Fiery Circulation" and taking herbal baths to strengthen their physical bodies.

From time to time they would visit their old house in which was taken care of by their servants. As for the family's ore business housekeeper Lin was in charge waiting for the family of four to return.

The two brothers when interacting with housekeeper Lin, they would refuse to return home and take over the family business, after all it would only be a nuisance as it would just give them less time to cultivate.

Emperor Xia was saddened that the children had given up their childhood completely and at times he would send 3rd prince Yi Fan and 2nd princess Yi Ning to distract them but they would always refuse them.
