9 Choices and the Hunt

Mireya had given birth to a baby boy. He was a preemie small and delicate with a tiny cry. Honey blond hair with hazel brown eyes that had specks of green. He was 4 lbs. and 3oz a pond birth and lost a pound after a day. He was kept in the incubator until he could survive without it. She would go to breast feed him and skin ship time. Day and night without much rest. Only leaving to eat, sleep, and bathroom time. Eveyone visited the baby. Carlisle was there in between work and patients. Bryant was scared to hold the baby. He almost looked like he wanted to cry. I made him buy a heated vest so that the baby wouldn't catch a chill. The baby wasn't his but he excepted it.

But their was a nagging issue. A thing that needed to not exist anymore.

Bella had taken a trip to Phoenix with Alice and Jasper. She needed a distraction from the heavy drama that had begun.

Mr. Charles had just dealt with the rape and murder of a 12 year old girl. It was the most horrible thing he had ever dealt with. He even paid for the ticket to get Bella out of the state for a while.

James and Victoria met Bella and trapped her. But Jasper and Alice quickly put a end to them without Bella having shed blood. They then enjoyed their vacation. Edward was relieved. He joined them soon to spend time with Bella.

Bella manage to keep me updated and we talked about the things that bothered her.

I was in a constant on guard state of mind. Bryant refused to leave my side. I rarely talked out loud. Raff was a big problem. He was a threat. We were surviving our inner turmoil and mental strain. But it was breaking us down.

Mr Charles had to deal with the case of the 12 year old victim. The whole town was on alert. Mireya needed to lay a trap She also needed Bryant to bring out his talents to the fullest. He had out of this world tracking ability but he only ever used it to find her. He could find her anywhere, everywhere. For this past month he had been blinded by anger. A bundle of barely contained rage. In order to track he had to be a calm cucumber, silent in his observation. Rage is blinding.

"Carlisle I need to talk to the family."

"I'll get everyone together."

He didn't take long to get those in his family together. those who remained home.

"Baby is about to be out of the hospital soon. I have to get Bryant to his calm state. He can't use his abilities as he is right now. "

I breathed. Didn't have to option of hiding.

"He's not satisfied. That victim will be one of many if he isn't caught. You have options but at the end its a matter of choice."

"Bryant doesnt have full contol over his rage he can't track like that. So he can't be used to catch him."

"We could involve the volturi."

"We could but then their are problems with that. I'm human. Bella is human. They seek power and control. Alice is a must have commodity. she see the future. and even if the future is constantly changing It tightens the reigns of control to what ever goal Marcus seeks."

"How do you know?"

"Carlisle you treat people how you want to be treated. You changed with the time. But in an old fashion tradition of the volturi. They keep there powers and gather more with reasons. They talk while not showing their hand. They use underhanded tactic to take what they want. Making others think they did no wrong."

"You talk as if you know them."

"I've had 3 lives that I remember." Her tone changed. Time around her changed. Even as she slowly sat down Then Bryant stood by her side. He seemed to change with her.

Before the Cullen's eyes seem to flow of outward reflections into Mireya and Bryant putting them in awe. The saw lives and felt the presence of different people that were Mireya and Bryant. All this happening in a minute.

"They are trouble. Friendship to them is a tool to be used at their convenience." Her voice held power. Mireya shook herself off. She felt like she knew them maybe a wrongful death at their hands. But that information was locked away in her soul. Too much knowledge can bring calamity.

The whole room contemplated. Carlisle couldn't deny the truth. He wanted to keep friendships and bonds. He was a true friend honest to a fault but not stupid. He knew everytime Marcus said friend that it wasn't exactly what he met. Just like they nick named him Stregone Benefico. It sounded positive but to them it was a joke.

"I will find my calm."

"I have to be left unprotected often. The longer he can't get off the less cautious he'll be. The more reckless he will be." I was worn out with this train of thought. I was disgusted. But I have to stay in motion. I have a baby to care for. I can't do that in a depressed scared state of mind. Bryant can't fully function in a state of rage.

"My mom and the baby must be protected at all times. I will be dropping out of school. With this drama. I don't have the ability to focus."

Bryant didn't want that for Mireya. High school was a part of her growth in this life. This situation made him regretful that this issue wasn't solved because of him not controlling his inner rage. It added to his burden which made him even madder. What do you do when your feeling trapped in a corner? He was ready to fight with his last breath. But at the moment, he couldn't find see hear.

"Bryant I'm going to remove my presence from your sight. You won't be able to see me until you control you rage. I won't be safe until then" She walked ro him and wrapped her arms around him. She embraced him with all her being.

"I will always be able to see you." Bryant stated. He had the ablity trained threw lives. He didn't believe she would be able to fade from his sight.

"Oh love." Mireya said. She shook her head. She was still human, true. But lives shape abilities. Fear, love, hate, and trauma was a means of evolution when you learned from it. What can you learn from trauma? Not to let it blind or bind you. Not to do what happened to you to others. Trauma was a scar on the soul. It never really goes anywhere. Fear can teach you to run, hide, or fight it. Love can be a shield, a cure in times of need, a reason, and a thriving force. Hate was a double edged blade, an infectious poison that can cause madness in rage, blind motivation, and illogical unreasonings. The analogies could change based on the person.

She shook her thoughts away.

"I'm still human. (Find me if you can. Save me or I will see you in the next life.) You will experience this everyday randomly threw the day." She slid off his lap and faded from his sight

She did this before all their eyes. He was shocked. Feeling the air around him as if he were blind. He couldn't rage. He couldn't cry. He sank into his chair.

Mireya went and stood in the corner of the room. She couldn't keep this up forever. After all she was still human. But she wasn't blind to her ability. She was aware, fully aware. Her humanity was her limiter. She could tap into it but she could fully grasp it. Like sand flowing threw her fingertips.

They all were shocked. This ability was also shocking. How powerful would this ability be if she were to turn? How would she be use if the volturi got wind of this? They wouldn't go to war. Assassination was possible.

Carlisle was shocked.

But to also know Bryant was able to fine her no matter what. His tracking ability has never been fully exploited.

Then she reappeared slowly fading into there sight.

"You underestimate me because I'm still human. But I'm a force to reckon with. I have protected my little life from all types of predators. But now, I'm not strong enough to fight the danger this time. I can only hide."

Mireya put him in hell for 2 minutes to prove a point. Bryant fully got the point. Because he no longer felt the burning rage. She had thrown cold water in the face of his arrogance. Mireya was human and he was a vampire. She had proven her point.

"We will start a game of hide and seek. Bryant, it starts tomorrow. Thank you all for being here and understanding." They started working on a training scheldue for Bryant. And he couldn't get out of it.
