One thought kept rolling around in my head in circles, after that voice, after that image appeared inside my head. One singular thought that clouded my mind.

It was all I could think about while everything else was going on around me.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!?

-No… idea- The voice answered as if my panicked thought was a question.

I wasn't the type of guy to know much about comics, or superheroes, I didn't have the time to do so, but even then, I knew who that voice was. Venom, a symbiotic creature from outer space with untold power, that wanted Spider-Man dead.

Maybe I was dreaming, I mean… the idea of being a baby in the eighteen nineties, with Venom a villain inside of me was a bit too out of the rational lines of thought.

-I have no idea how or why this happened… just that we are fully bonded… more than that actually, let me show you— As soon as Venom said that, images appeared in my head, like a flashback, about how the symbiotes bonded with their hosts.

-My Kind was created with an evil purpose, to destroy the cosmos, but we alone were not able to do anything, so our creator, Knull, sent us around the cosmos to wreak havoc…— Venom stated, showing me images of Knull… and his terrifying power, -But he made a mistake, he made our kind one through the hive mind, this made us stronger, for we learned from each mistake… growing stronger by the second… but this power he gave us… was also his greatest mistake…—

The scenery he was showing me changed, showing now a human and a Symbiote merging.

—After an apocalyptic war of universal proportions, between Knull and all the universe the connection he had with us was completely severed thanks to Thor Odinson's divine lightning. Destabilized, and without a purpose, we sought out hosts to give our lives context and our existence meaning— Venom said changing the scenario to the hive mind located on his home planet, - While without Knull we still were violent, but without his dark powers… we were without knowing open to change… and our once violent race change… thanks to some symbiotes who had bonded to benevolent hosts, the experiences they had acquired through their hosts poisoned the once feral hive-mind with traits such as nobility and honor—

I was speechless, I had nothing to say… it was overwhelming to see all things playing out at once, and feel them as if I have lived through them.

—Our new found understanding of love, honor and nobility lead to a revolution where we fought with against Knull eventually imprisoning him— Venom said, as he showed me Knull being thrown into a cage, —After that we chose a new path for our kind… one completely different to the one we had been originally created for, making the universe better—

'And that's why you guys bond right?' I inwardly asked.

—Yes. The bond between a Klyntar and its host is sacred. They give our lives context and our existence meaning. They give us history. All we have are our hosts to tell us who we are… but even then… I should be able to move out of your body, but… our bond seems to be beyond anything my race has experienced…— Venom said, finishing his presentation. —I am not a villain… I never was… I am what my host makes me be… we are nothing without our hosts, they change us… before Peter Parker… I was naive… I understood feelings before him, but simple feelings…like colors, bold and bright. Happy. Sad. Angry. Then... I merged with him... Spider-Man— he explained with clear bitterness.

I think I understood now… as they learned to be good… that could also be applied backwards.

—Yes… bad things can also be learned… — Venom stated, — Once I merged with him… Feelings got complicated…. With him… I learned about guilt, about fear, about agony, about betrayal…. then when I tried to make him feel better, he called me a monster and a parasite…. And for the first time I felt bad… I was labeled as a bad guy… and feelings of anger and betrayal that now made more sense but also hurt more… affected me, I wanted him dead… and then I didn't…—

I couldn't help but wonder, if I was hurting him too, I might have heard of him as a villain, but he was just a victim in the end. I knew he wasn't lying, I could feel it.

—No, you aren't affecting me, not a lot… I do feel your unyielding rage against those who betrayed you… and they will pay us with blood!!— Venom hissed in anger, showing that I was affecting him.

'Buddy… I don't think we can't… 1891… they don't even exist,' I inwardly chuckled.

—Time travel… in a different dimension, I don't feel the hive mind at all, meaning we aren't in my universe… and from your memories… all my universe was nothing but the art of others… perhaps we are in your earth…— Venom said, bringing a bunch of good points.

Was I still on my earth, I mean… being reincarnated with Venom was probably a give away to anything is possible.

'Only time will tell…' I thought.

—Only time will tell— Venom agreed.

[7 DAYS LATER]

During my agonizing week as a newborn baby I had learned a few things, one… I miss having control of my bladder.

Two, I hate being a baby.

Three, did I mention I hate being a baby… well, Venom hates it too…

Four, I was actually in the past, in the United States of America, Biloxi, Mississippi to be exact.

And last but not least, all of this was real… I had no doubts now… all of this, me… Venom, and everything else on top was real.

—Learn to walk fast! This is boring!— Venom hissed inside my head in protest, who would've guessed he was such a brat.

'I would if I could!' I inwardly shouted back.
