The two dropped hands as they entered the dining room, Leah's family was already sitting around the table too, "Took you to long enough, I had to hold Seth back from eating all the food."

"Please, we all know Ryan would be after me like a rabid dog if I ate before him. Curry is one of his favorite meals after all." Seth scoffed as even the thought of eating it before Ryan was the stupidest idea ever announced.

Ryan chuckled taking the seat in between Seth and Leah, after he pulled out Leah's seat, he then looked to Sue who laughed and handed him a plate after giving her husband and herself some of course. He smiled and dug right in taking a big bite of the food, the spice lit his tongue of fire and he loved it sooo much.

Chewing he savored the taste before swallowing it down, "Sue, please we can run off with one another. No one every has to know, or I can fight Harry for you we can do it like the Vikings!"

Everyone around the table laughed at that Sue shook her head, "I am still going to have to reject Ryan, I am a semi-happily married woman."

"Hey! What do you mean by semi-happily, what am I doing wrong?" Harry said while wiping his mouth as curry sauce dropped off of it.

"Nothing dear, you are perfect." Sue said fondly kissing his cheek and causing the man to puff his chest out.

Ryan smiled at the scene in this life he had never seen his parents like that, hell they had never even had meals like this it was a big reason he loved being at their house for dinner so that he could be around things like this. Leah had a big smile on her face looking at her parents, she really envied their relationship as they never fought and had such a loving marriage.

His chest felt a little tight at this, he promised himself that he would save Harry, it was a heart attack that killed him in the woods that day from being frightened by Victoria being so close to them he would just make sure that it didn't happen. Now he was not going to stop the plot of Twilight, because he honestly did not care if Victoria was hunted and everyone he cared about survived it, but would change things that were stupid in it.

"Ryan stop hitting on my mom already, isn't my sister already enough for you." Seth said with a chuckle.

His words though caused the room to go silent, Leah's eyes went wide as she glared at her brother before looking between her father and mother, she wanted to gauge their reactions to the news. Seth froze his mouth pausing in chewing as he realized his parents didn't know yet, though it should have been a clue when his sister and Ryan did not enter the room holding hands. He coughed and tried to make himself look small as he sat back looking between his parents.

(Sue POV)

Sue beamed as she heard the news, it was a major wish of hers for those two to get together, and she saw the little things they showed tonight that it might be a possibility that they were in that direction. Hell since thee first time Seth and Leah brought him to the house she had seen it, but now hearing it all she wanted to do was jump up and down and squeak like a school girl.

At first she thought it would take longer after the whole Sam mess, but it seems she did not need to worry about that as they were now a thing, and she really hoped it would last. They were both in their last year of school so she knew that they would be going off to do whatever they did after school, but she hoped they would stay together.

Turning to her husband she gauged his reaction to the news.

(Ryan POV, I am bad at writing these correctly, always including others thoughts and stuff)

He also was looking at Harry, he had seen Sue smiling so he did not worry much about her, it was Harry who was a much bigger problem in the long run when it came to dating Leah as he was an elder in their tribe. That actually made it where there were a lot more hurdles, most girls here ended up married to someone in reservation or married outside of it only to never come back unless of emergency.

What he saw made him tense, the man was no longer smiling or puffing his chest, no he was looking like the elder he was as he stared down Ryan, even the wolf inside was a little cowed but it was more respect then anything. Ryan being prideful because of his wolf didn't bow to Harry, but he still did not like the look much as it was something that was not favorable.

His fork and knife were down as he watched Ryan, "Sir, I just want to say that I will respect Leah, and I did not want you to find out from Seth I actually did plan on telling you myself..."

Harry held up a hand stopping him, "Can me and Ryan have the room please and Sue make sure they do not listen in. I want to have a private talk with him, please."

From the side of his eye Ryan saw Sue herd off her kids, Leah tried to linger but she was pushed out, Seth shot him an uneasy smile but he since he wouldn't look away from Harry he couldn't reassure the kid. Finally it was just them and down the hall they could hear a door close, Ryan from his senses could tell that they were in the room.

It was just him and Harry then, even Meredith catching the vibe of the room had taken off with them.

"Sir I just---" Ryan started but was once again cut off.

"I saw Sam break my daughter's heart. I wish I could tell you the reason why, as there is one but I could do nothing about it which made me feel like a failure as a father. I also watched as each and every day you two grew closer together and it made me happy that she had a friend to help her out, because I figure that was all you were...friends.

What I did not expect was you to use her while she was vulnerable, to go after her affection while she was down. I thought you were better then that Ryan." He said sternly glaring at Ryan with malice.

Ryan though was pissed himself hearing those words, "Hold on one minute! That is not what this is, I have been holding back my feelings for your daughter since they day I met her! I didn't think she would go for me so I had to watch that asshole Sam ruin her!

But don't think for a moment that I went after her when she was vulnerable, I tried to keep things friendly between us. It was just that we both couldn't hold back our feelings for one another and there was no way I was going to make her sad by rejecting her when she asked me straight if I liked her.

Now you might think I only did this cause she was low and wanted to get into her pants, but you put that out your head and hear this. I care about Leah more then any other woman I have met and I will keep her as long as she wants me around!"

The air was tense between the two as they had a glaring match, it was broken by Harry who smirked slightly, "Good, and you better remember those words too. Or that," he said while pointing towards the rifle hanging on the wall, "Will be used on you, and you know what kind of shot I am."

Ryan's anger left him as he heard that but a smile took over his face as he nodded, "To be honest sir, I don't think you will have a chance to use it. I think your daughter will use it on me before you can."

Harry chuckled but nodded agreeing with him, "Yeah, she is different with you. No doubt she will use the temper she gets from Sue on you if you do anything out of line."

Ryan shivered at that, he loved a happy Sue but truly feared and angry Sue, even his wolf didn't want that to happen and he had just been glared at by an angry Harry. That painted a picture of how truly scary Sue could be when she was angry at someone, everyone in the reservation tried not to get on her bad side at that to.

"You can come back now!" Harry hollered and immediately the door was open with feet pounding.

Seconds later Leah turned the corner looking between the two of them, Ryan saw the tension drain from her when she saw them sitting in peace with one another, "Is everything okay?"

"Why wouldn't it be, now come on let's celebrate Ryan's big win and the two of you getting together." Harry said with a smile as Sue and Seth joined them.

Ryan saw Sue beam as she took a seat back at the table, "Oh this is just wonderful, you have to give me the details of how it happened. Leah was to nervous in the room to tell me anything."

"Oh me!" Seth said hand raised as he was practically falling out his seat to speak, "Me first let me tell you how I found out!"

"SETH!" Leah screamed blushing no doubt remembering how her brother found out, it caused Ryan to chuckle making her elbow him, "Not helping."

He leaned over kissing her cheek trying to be respectful, "Not trying to be shortstack."

She growled at him making his smile wider, looking back at everyone else he could see the rest of her family watching them with smiles, "Go ahead Seth."

"It was a dark and creepy night, Meredith and I were on our way to save a beautiful damsel in distress..." Seth embellished as he began his story.

(Rosalie POV)

She sat on a tree at the edge of the treaty line, her hearing was supernatural but even from where she sat she could not hear Ryan's voice, it caused her to sigh and look up at the moon. Her chest was in pain as she was far from her mate, she was really hoping that he would come home tonight because at least then she could hear his breathing as he slept, even if Leah stayed with him.

"Are you coming home soon Rosalie?" Alice asked her, at the moment Edythe and her had shown up.

Rosalie looked down at them and sighed, "Just a few more minutes then I will be back, I just....I just want to try and hear him."

They both gave her soft sad looks as Edythe spoke, "Okay, but come home soon. Who knows what those beast will do if they find you watching their side."

She nodded and looked back into the trees as her sisters took off back home to their mates, she sighed really wishing hers would just accept her, the pain from not having one was at least less then the pain of having one but him not wanting her back. When ten minutes passed and she heard the rustle of leaves from the moving wolves she took off back to the house as she did not want to cause unnecessary trouble for her family.

She prayed one last time that Ryan would at least make it home for the night.
