chapter 11 : Imminent danger

The next day, Jacob checked Bella's house and memorized the Vampires scent but spotted nothing else. He went out to find Bella and Edward waiting outside.

 Jacob: He didn't really leave any other clues besides his scent but it's very strong. He will die next time he comes back here but the problem remains his potential friends.

 Edward: Bella will be the main target.

 Jacob: It's obvious. The wolves will help watch this place at night when you go hunting, you won't be able to keep up the pace yourself. I'll talk to the pack.

 She asked after Jacob but they told her he was busy elsewhere with his girlfriend which caused a pang in Bella's chest, she asked a few questions but Billy started telling the legends of the tribe and their first encounter with vampires.

 Jacob for his part was in the camper van with Danielle to enjoy each other's presence, he had learned to love the girl, she was available, kind, beautiful and very good company.

 Three days later, Jacob came to escort Bella himself so that Edward could feed. The vampire thanked Jacob before leaving, he had a strange confidence in him since he no longer had any interest in Bella. Jacob took Bella on his motorcycle and she decided to loosen her tongue while he rode.

 Bella: Quil told me you had a girlfriend.

 Jacob: That's right. And ?

 Bella: Why didn't you tell me?

 She hesitated to approach him but Jacob nodded at her before coming to lick her hand to tell her that she had nothing to fear.

 In the end, she got on his back and Jacob started running at a steady speed with Seth and Bella on his back who was scared at first and started to love it after a certain point.

 The wind, the speed, the nature passing by and Jacob's stability added to his balance gave Bella the feeling that she was flying between the trees.

 They toured the area before returning to the reservation.

 Bella was quite happy with what she had experienced, it reminded her of her activities with Jacob when Edward had disappeared, he always knew what to do to give her memorable moments.

 Finally, after a while, graduation day arrived and that same evening the party organized by Alice at the Cullens took place, there were a lot of people.

 Bella and the others were enjoying the party when a motorcycle and a car arrived.

 Jacob got off his motorcycle with Danielle and out of the car came Embry, Quil and Seth who was very excited about the party.

 Jacob had taken them so that they could find out more closely who the Cullens were but also to enjoy the party a little, the reserve is cool but boring sometimes.

 Carlisle and Esme came to welcome them, Esme of course was very happy that Jacob accepted her invitation.

 He introduced them to Danielle and the boys, the couple only knew them in their wolf bodies but they realized that they were really young.

 There was even an eating contest between Quil and Embry which impressed everyone after Embry's victory, the werewolves had a particular appetite.

 Of course, the Cullens noticed them and even Emmett was part of the crowd cheering them on. Esme saw the boys having fun at the party and somehow it touched her.

 Bella accompanied by Edward found Jacob and Danielle sitting somewhere outside in a quiet place so they came to find them.

 Jacob made the introductions and Bella understood why Jacob was no longer interested in her, Danielle looked totally stunning.

 They talked for a bit before Carlisle came to urgently call Jacob, Edward and Bella because Alice had just had a vision.

 There, Alice explained to them that the stranger vampire was gathering a large number of newborn vampires and that he had made them sniff Bella's red sweater so they were going to leave Seattle to move towards them.

 They eventually learned the identity of the foreign vampire and it was Riley Biers, a youngster who had been missing for a while but this guy had no connection to Bella.

 Carlisle: There's clearly someone behind this story.

 Edward: Maybe it's the Volturi.

 Alice: Impossible, I can predict Aro's decisions.
