What I didn't know was that I was being watched by my natural enemy!

The one who made me like this!

POV CULLEN

Everyone was looking at Alice who was having a vision for the first time in a while.

With each new vision, the outcome was either good or bad so everyone didn't know what to think at the moment...

Alice had a complicated expression on her face at the moment, she herself didn't know what to think...

She was really happy for Edward and Rosalie but also felt sad for Rosie because if what she had seen was true then the poor girl would never be really happy...

'' Alice my dear tell us what happened? Is it good? Bad?" said Esmée

''Well... it's both at the same time actually, I'm sorry Rosalie'' said, Alice

Everyone thought except Edward was still in a daze

''What? Why are you sorry Alice!" said Rosalie somewhat confused

''She saw our companions..." said Edward

Everyone was happy for them both, but then why was Alice sorry for Rosalie?

''It's great, guys! Finally, you advanced in your life!'' said Emmett in a cheerful way

''Tell me! Why are you sorry for me?!" shouted Rosalie

''Yes, yes! Calm down first! So basically your companion is not going to accept you no matter what..." said Alice sadly, as Rosalie went crazy again.

Everyone had different faces at the time!

Emmett laughed loudly.

Esmée looked sad with Alice and Edythe

Jasper was feeling all of this at once.

Edward thought he would never turn his girlfriend into a soulless monster...

Carlisle was neutral.

As for Rosalie, she was sad and happy at the same time...

''Why?" said Rosalie

''I don't know, sorry... but from what I saw he will be in high school this year...'' said Alice

''Great! So it's not a lost cause!" said Rosalie

the days passed for the Cullens

Rosalie waited longer and longer in front of the school in the hope of seeing her mate but unfortunately, he never showed up...

Alice had several visions of Arthur for weeks in a row and finally, she managed to make a portrait of him...

Rosalie was happy to see her companion and sometimes she spent hours looking at his portrait and imagining him in real life but there was still no sign of him anywhere...

so several months had now passed and it was January 2004

Rosalie was almost depressed at this point...

then one morning like any other while Rosalie was making her brother and sister wait longer in front of the school, a police car appeared...

everyone looked in her direction including the Cullens.

''Rosalie! I think it's him!'' Alice shouted.

Rosalie was brought out of her thoughts as she now looked in the same direction as Alice

directly she was surprised by her appearance because the portrait did not make him honor!

She was happy and full of happiness.

Rosalie POV

Another morning when I was waiting for my companion to come!

But as usual, he didn't show up and I started to lose hope to meet him one day...

according to Alice, it could be that her vision was not correct about the date of his coming...

and of course, we all confirmed that because it had been over 4 months and there was still no sign of him...

so I started to get a little depressed!

But this morning things were different...

''Rosalie! I think it's him!" shouted Alice

I immediately snapped out of my thoughts and looked in the same direction as Alice and...

he was there and my whole being told me to go and talk to him but...

I could wait a little longer, maybe during class!

I wanted to listen to what he was saying but I was surprised...

''Charlie I don't think it's a good idea after all!" he said with a sad and disturbing voice

''What?! But you told me that..." the police chief said but he was cut off by him "yes I know what I said... but... right now I don't feel good!" he didn't feel good? Why?

"ok ok! Well... listen to me breathe... you haven't forgotten, have you? You need to focus on other things and you'll be fine." he said reassuringly

''Thank you Charlie... but I won't have you with me all day for this!" he said with tears in his eyes which broke my heart!

''Good! I think we should go home... you can try again tomorrow, we're in no hurry after all...'' No! No! No! No! Why?

''Thank you... I'm sorry!" he said sincerely, then the car drove off!

What just happened? Why?

''AHAHAHAH! Your companion is a weirdo!" said Emmett

''Emmett! Shut up! Is not a weirdo!" I yelled

''If you say so!" said Emmett in return

''I couldn't read his mind," said Edward

''You tried to read my partner's mind!" I said angrily

We talked about it for a while and then went to class...

I was sad...

why? Why did he have to leave when he had just entered my life? Why did he have to do this to me?

But it didn't matter I would see him tomorrow!

POV Cullen

the day was over and the whole Cullen family finally went home...

Rosalie and her family were talking while waiting for Carlisle to come...

Edward had called a family meeting!

''So you think he's part of Chief Swan family?" said Edythe

''Yes, I'm sure... but there's more to this story than meets the eye" said Edward, looking at Rosalie.

''Why are you looking at me like that? And what do you mean by more?'' said Rosalie

''Nothing...let's wait for Carlisle...'' said Edward

''All I'm saying is that he's a Weirdo!" laughed Emmett

but to everyone's surprise, Edward answered before Rose

''No, he's not...''

''What do you mean? He's obviously weird!" said Emmett as Rosalie glared at him.

''Carlisle has arrived!'' Esmée said, and instantly Carlisle appeared in the living room...

''So what's going on here?'' said Carlisle

''It's Rosalie's companion, he's here!'' said Alice

''Edward? Why are you calling a meeting?" said Carlisle

''Yes, why?" said Rosalie

''Because he can't join us! It's too dangerous for us!" said Edward which shocked Rosalie because she thought he was on her side all along...

''WHAT!? What are you talking about?" said Rosalie

''Yes, explain us!" said Esmée and Carlisle

''Well...since I couldn't read his mind I fell back on his uncle, chief Swan...and what I found it is not good at all!" said Edward

''Wait, what are you talking about?" said Rosalie now angry with Edward

Finally, Edward explained to them "when he was a child... he saw his whole family killed in front of his eyes! ''

''Oh my God!" said Rosalie putting her hand in front of her mouth

All the Cullens had different reactions but in the end, they were all shocked...

''Yes, I know... but it's not all! He knows about the vampires...'' said Edward

''But how? Don't tell me..." said Carlisle, Rosalie was still shocked to her core...

''Yes, you guessed it, Carlisle! A vampire killed his whole family in front of him!" Edward finally said

''How is he still alive? It can't be!" said Esmée

''I don't know about that! But the worst part is that everyone thinks he's crazy because he's mentioned the word vampire so many times! He will never trust us... sorry, Rosalie.'' Edward continued

''We'd better get out of here before he finds us!'' Edythe said, earning her several nods from the others

''But he's my companion! We can't just leave like that!'' said Rosalie

''Rosalie is right!'' said Alice

''We don't know how much he knows about us so it would be wrong to leave on a whim...'' said Jasper

''Thanks, Jasper!'' said Rosalie

Finally, the meeting was over...

they had voted to know if they should leave but fortunately for Rosalie it was not the case...

but they had decided not to approach him and to wear colored contact lenses not to be suspicious.

POV Rosalie

I can't believe it...

his whole life must have been horrible!

It's rare that a vampire doesn't kill everyone present during a hunt!

So that means he's still in mortal danger and obviously, he doesn't know it...

I have to do something about it and fast!

I don't want my companion to die when I only saw him once...

I have to make him trust me first!

During the week I saw him come several times in the same police car but...

he never got out.

I was heartbroken for him...

I wanted to have the same powers as Edward to read his mind and know what he was thinking...

I was also afraid that he would reject me once he know what I am...

then one day like the others while I was taking a few quick glances at him I saw him get out of the car with headphones on and his hood up and his head down...

he was wearing round glasses as far as I could see...

I saw that everyone was looking at him and whispering about him which made me very angry...

but I was still happy that he finally took his courage in both hands and launched himself!

So I followed him for a while to see what he would do...

Unfortunately, we didn't have any classes in common!

But I was going to remedy that somehow...
