Cora walked up the stairs to Dalton's apartment with her suitcase. Standing in front of the door, she thought of her plans of staying with her step-brother until she had to leave the country. Dalton was her step-brother and they did not get along that well. It was not like they hated each other but rather he thought Gina, Cora's mother was responsible for his parents divorce. The only reason he tolerated Cora was because when his mother, Katherine, tried to commit suicide a few years back when Gina and Greg (Dalton's dad) decided to get married after dating for 3 years, Cora was the one who found Kathrine and called 911. If not for Cora calling for help, Katherine may have died that day.

"Since I'm already here, there is no way he will turn me away, right?" Cora thought to herself.

Gathering her courage, she rang the bell. Crossing her fingers as she waited for Dalton to open his door. It didn't take long for the door to be opened, but the person who answered the door was not Dalton.

"Is….ehm… Dalton home?". A bit surprised by the man's looks, Cora stammered.

The man was handsome. Cora was introverted so she was hardly around people let alone boys. The man that opened the door was Asian, which was a bit surprising for Cora. She didn't expect her step-brother to have Asian friends. It seemed her brother didn't dislike all Asians but rather just her and her Gina

"Dalton is not home. He is on a trip with his friends. Who are you if I may ask?"

Hearing his voice made Cora's mind go blank. For some reason, with every word that came out of his mouth made her heart beat faster. This had never happened to her before. She just stared at him.

Min Joon just looked at the young lady staring at him. He was used to females reacting to him that way. He was surprised that a girl was at Dalton's home. He knew for a fact that Dalton never invited females to his home. He either went to their homes or a hotel. Dalton was definitely a player and hardly committed to any relationship. Min Joon looked at the girl, she was definitely cute but looked too young to be one of Dalton's fling. Even though she looked young, she had a mature body. Her body did not match her face. She looked young and innocent but that body was for a mature woman. It was obvious she was not aware of her body.

Min Joon snapped his fingers at Cora's face since she looked dazed and had not responded to his question.

" I'm Dalton's sister, step sister. My name is Cora. I tried calling before coming but Dalton hardly picks my calls. I'm sorry but can I come in?".

With Dalton not home, Cora was not sure whether this stranger would let her in. He looked friendly enough. Cora could not look at his face while she spoke, he made her feel breathless. He was tall, probably more than 180 cm. Unlike her step-brother who grew his beard, this man was clean shaven. He had sharp features and his eyes were his best feature. They looked so dark, almost black. Looking into his eyes was like falling into a bottomless pit.

"Why not, come in. I will give Dalton a call and let him know that you are here"

Min Joon opened the door wider to let Cora in.
