You got in!

Summer didn't. Instead, she slid the letter towards her best friend for her to read it for herself. Alyssa eyed the letter confused. "Is it-?"

"No." Summer cut her off abruptly. "Why would I let you read them?"

"Then?"

"Look for yourself."

Alyssa hesitated. She didn't want to read into Summer's personal letters but if she was willingly presenting it to her then it must not be that personal. Thinking this. She picked up the letter. And then she gasped as her eyes fell on the envelope.

"S-Sam? For real?" She stuttered.

Summer nodded eagerly, sipping her drink and grinning.

Alyssa took out the letter and began to read the contents. Nick was peeking from over her shoulder and his own eyes bulged out of sockets, such was the shock.

"You got in." Alyssa whispered when she had read the whole letter twice, her voice throaty and her eyes shining with tears, shock still evident on her face. "You got in." She said again, a little louder than before.

Nick, on other hand, was grinning maniacally. "Holy Shit Summer! You fucking got in St. Lewis'!" He announced loudly.

"Oh my God, Summer. You finally got in your dream college. Oh my God. Am I dreaming?" Alyssa was still grasping the facts that her best friend got in one of the most prestigious colleges. When she finally did, her face lightened up like a child on Christmas and her smile was wide enough to split her face in half. "You fucking got it! With full scholarship!"

She rushed out of her seat and tackled Summer in a warm hug. Nick followed behind. "Guys, please get out of the seat and hug so I can join in too?"

Summer chuckled but Alyssa made no move to leave. "No can do, Nick."

"Oh come on!" He whined and finally, the girls broke the hug and stood up. Nick tackled them both in a bear hug together. "Congratulations little sis!" He hollered.

Summer laughed. "Why thank you. Will I get treated for this accomplishment?"

"Definitely." Alyssa and Nick said at the same time grinning like ideal best friends. "Ice Cream is on me." Nick announced.

"And a second round of burger and milkshakes' on me." Alyssa said and made her way towards the kitchen to get the treat ready.
