Chapter 2 - My Inner Wolf

~Year 500ish~

~Alexzander POV~

I believe it's been close to an entire year since I've settled down in my new village. I've mostly spent all my time fixing up the village. Which was easy to do thanks to my experience as a carpenter in my past life.

I had to burry all the bodies of my wolfs victims, clean up all the guts and blood. Find a source of reliable and drinkable water, then finally find food and learn how to grow plants and hunt animals.

It's been a tough year I'll tell you that. Anyways the most important thing about this last year is about being a werewolf, I turn on every full moon. The first couple hurt so much I can't even describe it but after the first couple it got easier and then the last 1 or 2 were actually enjoyable.

Whenever I turn into a Wolf on a full moon, I get to take a backseat as my inner Wolf takes over. I get to feel everything it feels, see everything it sees, hear everything it hears, taste everything it tastes. It's incredible, truly incredible.

My inner Wolf as I call it, is a temperamental little thing. It's like it's always in the back of my mind influencing my actions and feelings to a degree. Granted it's only the last couple of months that I could feel my inner Wolf outside of a full moon.

I like to believe it's because I've gotten more in tune with my inner Wolf, which will hopefully lead to me being able to turn at will which would be awesome.

The influence my inner Wolf has on my outside of the full moon is still very little but noticeable. I get angry quickly but in the other hand it helps me with my hunting so it's a give and take at the moment.

~Scene Change~

"Why did I have to be sent to a world that hasn't developed modern tools" I grumble as I dig up more clay.

Stacking the clay onto the carrier I made from wood, leather and sticks I drag the clay back home.

Getting home, I start a fire in my small furnace like structure that I made out of stone, clay and dirt. I form the clay into brick shapes and put them in my self made furnace.

Leaving them solidify, I go to continue digging my well. My well is about 5 feet deep I'm hoping to get it to at least 7 feet before I put down the bricks and stones.

"It's times like this I'm glad for my increased strength and stamina from being a Wolf" I tell myself as I climb out of my now nearly 6 foot deep well.

Grabbing the freshly cooked bricks I carry them to where I store all the others inside one of the unused village tents to keep them dry and clean.

Looking at the sky I see the sun will be setting soon, so I decide to stay up and watch it set as the sky is beautiful without all the light pollution from the 21st century.

It take about an hour or two for the sun to set completely. "I could've killed for a good joint during that" I say imagining myself getting high and chilling while watching the sun set.

"We'll time for me to hit the sack" I say entering my tent to get some well deserved rest.

~Time Skip - 1 Year~

The last year has been considerably more fruitful then the last one. Not only with my Wolf but with my home building skills aswell. I'm very proud of myself.

Let's start with my inner Wolf, we've come to an agreement so to say. Not a spoken one but we acknowledge each other and we respect each other.

I've got to admit it was strange meeting the Wolf the lives inside my mind but it wasn't unpleasant either.

~Flashback~

-Mindscape-

"Huh where am I?" I ask confused, looking around I notice I'm in a forest and I'm naked. "Oh not this again"

I continue to take in the details of the forests until I hear a distinct snap of a tree branch from behind me.

Turning around I come face to face with a snarling horse sized Wolf, with fur darker then the night sky with no stars, teeth sharper then anything I've ever seen and lastly piercing green eyes.

The two of us stare at each other head on, neither of us blinking, looking away or lowing our heads.

We stare at each other for a few minutes before the Wolf simply nods in acknowledgment and walking off.

I stare at the retreating form of the Wolf as it enters the tree line, only to notice a towering figure obscured by the fog. The only thing I can make out is it's hight, over 7 foot tall, and it's glowing red eyes that are staring directly into my soul.

And that's when I wake up.

~Flashback End~

After that meeting I've had a lot more control over my transitions into my Wolf during full moons. I can willingly turn on the day before and after a full moon so I can be a Wolf for three straight nights while being in control of two of them, the full moon night is my inner Wolves night.

Also due to deepen my connection with my inner Wolf, My own personal abilities have increased. The basics you know increased strength, speed and senses. The increased hearing and smell are surprisingly useful especially when I hunt.

It's also thanks to these supple increases in strength that allowed me to extend my own home. I've got a few new drying racks for meat and animals skins.

An extra Well a little distance away from my other one just in case. I've even had my first harvest this year, and trust me you don't wanna know what I used as fertiliser.

I've even got to make a proper map, that marks out hunting areas that's I rotate around. Areas filled with eatable plants and tress that grow fruit like apples. I've marked water areas aswell, like rivers and lakes. Then lastly I've marked down areas of potential human contact.

Because I've got to be honest I've really not been to interested in meeting any other humans as from old Alexzanders memories the people of these times are well... let's just say barbaric.

Plus I've been killing it lately in my own survival I don't want to share or have to take care of someone else. So no human contact for at least another year or two.
