32 Chapter 1.31

Orion passed a set of clothes to Katherine for her to change into, while he prepared another blood bag. As she changed, he explained the straightforward nature of the deal they were about to strike: "I'll provide you with Nadia's location, and in return, you'll seamlessly integrate with the other travelers to retrieve the traveler's knife. I trust you're familiar with it, considering it once belonged to your father."

Katherine nodded as she finished changing and zipped up the borrowed clothes. "I know the knife you're talking about," she replied.

"Also, what makes you think the travelers will accept me back?" Katherine asked.

Orion replied, "It's easy; the travelers have a motto: 'Once a traveler, always a traveler.' Also, you're a doppelganger, and even though you're a vampire, that doesn't make you any less special in their eyes."

Orion handed the contract to Katherine, a mixture of seriousness and trust in his eyes. "Alright, sign this contract. It'll ensure that we both hold up our ends of the deal. Just sign your name in blood," he instructed.

Katherine nodded and, without hesitation, bit her wrist and used the welling blood to sign the contract. Once she had finished, she handed the document back to Orion, who carefully examined it before tucking it away.

"Thanks, Katherine," Orion said with a tone that carried a sense of finality. "This contract solidifies our partnership, and just so we're clear, any notions of betrayal won't bode well for you. Trust me, you don't want to go down that path."

"Now, step back," Orion said, waving Katherine away with a casual flick of his hand.

Katherine obliged, taking a few nonchalant steps back as she watched Orion work his magic. He chanted, "Bestruam semel Wall tempus," and the tomb walls began to tremble. After a brief shake, Orion dropped the walls, allowing Katherine to exit. He motioned for her to follow, and they soon found themselves in front of a patch of dirt.

With a mischievous grin, Orion, with his magical prowess, sculpted the dirt into the shape of a woman's body. With a casual demeanor, Orion requested Katherine to provide a few drops of her blood and a strand of her hair. She complied without hesitation, giving him what he needed.

Orion then took a small doll and skillfully tied the strand of hair around it, and she put the drops of blood on the woman-shaped dirt. Curiosity getting the better of her, she quipped, "What's the plan now, magician extraordinaire?"

Orion chuckled, "Well, I'm creating a golem. Can't have anyone thinking you're out and about, right?" With a wink, he began his incantation again, "Fac hoc Golem tridum et tru." As he chanted, the dirt gradually took on Katherine's likeness. Once the transformation was complete, Orion casually commanded the golem to enter the tomb, put on the dress Katherine had left behind, and chill.

Katherine observed the golem, marveling at how it uncannily mirrored her every move, following Orion's instructions with remarkable precision. Orion acknowledged her concern with a reassuring nod.

With a hint of a grin, he explained, "There you go, no need to fret about anyone discovering your absence. This golem will step in for you seamlessly."

Orion then gave Katherine a charm, its intricate design catching her eye. "This charm," he began, "is quite nifty. It'll shield you from the prying eyes of other witches and create an illusion, making you appear less doppelgangery."

With a casual ease, he handed Katherine Nadia's location,

—-----------

A few weeks had passed since Klaus had made himself known to the Scooby Gang. He had been taunting and tormenting them, causing quite a bit of trouble. Orion had been relatively indifferent to the situation, as he had his own concerns.

Orion ventured down to the quarry, a place he had chosen carefully for its connection to potent magic. Obsidian, known for holding significant magical properties, was his focus. This was the location where Klaus intended to break his curse, and Orion had his own plans for harnessing the resulting magic for future projects. When Klaus's curse was finally shattered, it would set off a nexus vorti—an utterly bizarre and unnatural event, something you didn't see every day in the supernatural world. And Orion wanted that power.

With a focused and determined demeanor, Orion planted the obsidian stones in a triangular pattern, each one symbolizing one of the sacrifices necessary for Klaus's curse-breaking ritual.

As he gently set the last stone in place, he began his chant once more, his voice carrying a resonance of authority and magical intent: "hanc magicam accipe, quae terrae daretur et nexum vorti. mihi servam."

With a raised eyebrow and a smirk, he couldn't deny a sense of anticipation as he waited for the nexus vorti to kick in. This was the moment he'd been preparing for, the kind of supernatural event that could turn everything upside down in the blink of an eye.
