2 The Genius of Mystic Falls

After spending his three stat points into Perception, Vitality, and Intelligence, he continued his daily training while keeping the facade of a baby.

There wasn't much for him to do over the next half a year, he completed some small quests, such as [First Words] [Smart Child] [Mommy's Angel] & [Daddy's Devil]

After he turned one-year-old, his parents started taking him outside more, picnics, playdates, etc.

He quickly found out from the playdates that his parents were founding members of Mystic Falls.

This made him sigh inwardly, knowing that he couldn't do anything about it made him move past it and focus on himself.

He decided to wait until kindergarten to show his intelligence when he got a quest.

[Child Genius: Be recognized as a genius by the town before the age of ten - Reward: 2,500xp]

He was blown away, two and a half thousand xp was outstanding.

--- Five Years Later ---

Over the years he slowly showed his intelligence bit by bit, solving childish maths, completing puzzles, and learning the piano.

His parents their friends believed him to be a genius but that was as far as it went, after his fifth birthday, he turned it up to a hundred and freely showed them his magnificence without going completely overboard.

Learning multiple instruments, solving highschool level maths, being mature and polite despite his age, he of course kept his childish traits in certain situations.

After playing the piano in the Bar & Grill, the customers were marveled by him, he was also pushed forward several years in school.

By the time his seventh birthday was around the corner, he completed his long-term quest.

[Quest Complete - Child Prodigy - Reward: 2,500xp]

As he looks over his stats, his body changes slightly, his eyes gain a spark of brilliance, his thought process quickens, and his magic increases by five times.

'System, add one point to Vitality, and two points to both Perception and Intelligence'

After his points are spent, his six senses become a little clearer while his body became healthier with fewer impurities.

By increasing his Intelligence to twenty-five, he was greeted by another pop-up.

[Intelligence Milestone Reached: You have gained the perk, Expert Multitasker]

[Expert Multitasker: as the name suggests, the user can multitask up to five things effortlessly]

He lets out a sigh of amazement with a smile on his face, "I didn't know there were milestones and perks"

"I'm tempted to just dump ten points into strength or dexterity but it's probably better to save them for later"

His thoughts turn to his new class and magic, 'It says that my magic is only limited by my imagination'

Taking his letter opened, he makes a small cut in his leg before putting his hand over it and closing his eyes.

With his eyes closed, he thinks of healing magic, the ability to mend wounds like in the Elder Scrolls games.

[You have gained the spell, Heal]

[Heal is a novice level restoration spell that allowed the user to heals deep cuts to fractured bones]

Removing his hand and opening his eyes, he sees that the self-inflicted injury is gone without a trace.

'Sweet, that's awesome, but there's probably limitations right, system?'

[Each spell costs a certain amount of mana, if the user wanted to summon an asteroid to fall on and destroy a large city, it would cost a hundred thousand mana]

[Meanwhile, your spell, Heal, only costs one hundred and fifty mana per use]

'Thought so... good thing I played a lot of fantasy games that had magic in my last life', as the next few days passed, he created a plethora of beginner and novice level spells.

He also found out the rank structure of spells, Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Expert, and Legendary.

Days turn into weeks and those turn into months, four winters come and pass.

Where once sat a small baby faced boy now sits a preteen with more height, shoulder-length hair, and broader shoulders that compliment his toned lithe body.

Getting dressed to go out with friends, he dresses in fashionable casual clothes, hearing a knock at the door, he sees his dad pop his head in, "Matt and Tyler are waiting outside"

"I'm coming", he says while picking up his wallet and leaving to greet his friends.

[Apologies for the wait, Covid hit my family hard and my father had a stroke so I took a long break, updates will be erratic since i want to continue and start other fanfics but i won't be dropping this story]
