The story starts in seaon one of The Vampire Diaries, with Louis d’Orléans as the main character. He is an OC created by the author. The MC will be gay as a fair warning for those who don't want to read such a fanfiction. Louis d’Orléans finds himself in Mystic Falls, a mysterious man, few know of his origins but many know of his deeds. In Mystic Falls he is searching for a gift to present to his love for his birthday. Louis quickly stumbles upon the perfect thing, or well, person. It shall be the greatest gift yet to bring to his boyfriend, however before then he decides to study this being, for after all she should not exist. Louis has found a new doppelgänger, non other than Elana Gilbert.
