10 Khan family bonding

The barrier fell as father and I began to catch up and prepare the metals for heating. The soldiers all rushed in preparing for a battle but froze when they saw the carnage before them, they gazed at us with admiration and fear, both father and I were drenched in blood but we didn't care.

The sorcerers and shamans begged and pleaded for their lives in front of everyone but no one even spared them a glance. I saw Amun and Arban ride over both looked relieved to see us in good health.

"Arban start heating the metals with your magic," Father said as he threw them into a metallic bowl we found in a broken-down house

"Eh?" Arban made a confused noise

"You heard me," father added calmly

"Arban hurry up it's annoying hearing these pathetic wastrels beg," I said as I started to walk toward Amun

I slapped Amun on the shoulder and said, "my friend I'm glad to see you are okay, did the sorcerers give you any trouble?"

He scoffed and replied, "they couldn't even react to me," I could tell that he was disappointed in missing out on the fight

"Eh that's too bad, maybe we can find more of those demons for you to kill," I said waving some soldiers off that tried to help gather metal

While Arban was using magic to heat the metal I turned to father and said, "I told you about the Shamans,"

He looked at me sharply before replying coldly, "don't mention this again," I could see his nostrils flaring obviously he was mad

I looked calmly into his eyes before saying, "I will mention this again, you treated them like they spoke the word of nature, you believed them over anyone else and they betrayed you just like I said they would,"

I saw his nostrils flare and his eyebrows raise, he was furious at me, he swung his fist in my direction, for some reason I could feel it moving through the air and where it would land.

Following the feeling I had, I moved my right arm upward *pah!* I caught his fist I could feel my bones breaking and healing instantly. "*sigh*, let's talk about this later, right now we should deal with these traitors," I said gesturing to the sorcerers and shamans on the floor

He nodded and said, "you grew up insolent,"

"I grew up the way you wanted me to be, a warrior and a leader," I replied coldly

"Hahaha!" father laughed loudly causing the nearby soldiers to gaze in our direction

Glad he finds something amusing. We talked more about my travels and where I have been, and eventually, the metal melted nice and hot.

"You slaughtered the whole village? Did you also set fire to it?" father asked with an appreciative tone like he was gazing at a piece of art

"No no, I instead hung all of the corpses on the houses, poles, and ropes, so when people traveled there they saw what the village has become," I replied while lifting the bowl father was next to me, and gestured for a soldier to open the sorcerer's mouth

"Hmm, that was a good method," he nodded his head

"Keep him from moving," I said to the solider as I walked up to the sorcerer

The soldier nodded and held him firmer, the sorcerer's mouth was pried open as I began to pour the molten metal down his throat.

"AHHHGGHHHGGGGHH" he screamed in pain but the molten metal quickly made it impossible to speak anymore

Everyone witnessed the sorcerer's eyes roll backward as I killed him painfully.

I turned to father and said, "that was relaxing, are you up next?"

"Did you think I was going to watch?" he scoffed and took the bowl moving on to the next sorcerer

Finally, just the shaman was left, he was whimpering on the ground like a beaten animal, it was a pathetic sight.

"Your shaman has no spirit," I said carelessly

He sighed and replied, "this is not my shaman, he is a pathetic waste, this form of death would be too pleasurable for him,"

I nodded but he continued, "my warriors would take this form of death if I asked, this is pathetic,"

He then kept going as he looked at a nearby soldier, "stay steady," father said as he brought the bowl near his soldier

The soldier stayed still with his mouth open, ready to die his eyes were unwavering.

Father stopped and said, "thank you," he took back the bowl and laid it on the ground, the soldier nodded, got up, and stayed standing proudly

The amount of respect I have for my father and his men is uncountable, I aspire to have warriors like this in the future.

"What will you do with him?" I asked slightly interested

"Hmm, I will cut him apart piece by piece, his blood will trench the earth," father replied with a cruel smile

Hm, as expected shaman beliefs dictate that when blood is spilled on the earth they will cease to exist and never be able to enter their afterlife.

"NO! Please no! Great Khan, I have been loyal!" he shouted and shouted but nothing worked

*shickkk* a finger was gone

"AHHHH! Noooo!"

*shinckk* a toe was severed

"AHHHHHH! No please no no no,"

*shicck*

*shing*

*kachick*

*shingg*

Piece by piece the shaman was slowly being carved into the nothing, his blood stained the earth like a pool of crimson ink.

"No,"

"No"

"No"

"Stop"

"Stop,"

"stop,"

I kept running, I didn't stop for anyone or anything, those monsters will pay for this, for making me an original scared! This humiliation will never be brought up, never be told, and will be repaid.

I need to figure out how to convince my family to help me get my revenge, of course without telling them how I was humiliated.

I could just imagine Rebekah and Nicklaus laughing at my pain, I would get mad and attack then Elijah will come in and say how bad of a brother I'm being, and I should feel sorry for Nicklaus.

Feel sorry for what?! My magic was taken and yet they act like my pain is nothing, they make promises without me, and they always side against me.

Maybe I should just have them go over there and mess with those monsters.

I can't get the image from my head of that man using a demon as a mace and killing the others. They didn't even need to go for the heart or use stakes, they just ripped them apart like nothing.

-Taban pov -

It's been two days since the whole Xi Xia slaughter currently, I rode with my father back to his empire, and I will stay there for a month or so then travel back to the forest. Of course, I will do surprise Astral projections to see the state of things.

I felt the winds shift turning to father I said, "it's very windy for this area," trying to make some small talk

"There isn't even a breeze Taban," father replied gruffly

What? No breeze I certainly feel the wind brushing against my skin, is he okay?

No, the better question is if I'm okay, something is weird with me, I can sense stuff I shouldn't be able to. Like when my father tried to punch me, I knew where his fist was going and when it would hit.

It's odd.

He gave me one last look before gazing back into the distance, I shook my head and began to do the same. The only sound that could be heard was the hooves of the horses hitting the floor and the clanking of weapons. I could still smell the blood wafting throughout the air, it was a smell I was intimately familiar with. Occasionally you would hear the shaman's body hit a rock as we rode. Father decided to ride into his empire with the shaman getting dragged by his neck, everything else was cut off, he said 'even in death he will suffer' and I guess that is the truth.

I can only imagine the reactions of the other shamans when they see this scene, I almost want them to be painted as I could already imagine the anger and shock they will show. It almost made me chuckle.

Onto other matters, I need to be able to defeat my father before I propose my idea of a mystical court to him, he will obviously want to rule it but, that position belongs to me so I will need the strength to beat him.

And if he still wants to battle me, I will kill him as he would do to me. I would be saddened but, I am a Khan nothing stands in our way.

Nothing will stand in my way family or not.

A/N: writing darker themes is honestly fun I see why so many people do it. Imma do a couple of time skips in the next couple of chapters, I have a target for when I want cannon to happen but, I need to build a couple more things. Also, be warned I am not a fan of Elena so don't be too mad when I don't help her.
