Altered Reality

When Sabrina opened her eyes she came face to face with the man who was supposedly her master. That was the first thing she remembered and then suddenly she remembered her reflection in the mirror and things became uncertain.

"I am not your enemy" the man assured her.

"What happened to me?" Sabrina asked, knowing well the answer.

"What is the last thing that you remember?" he asked.

"Something out of a nightmare," she confessed.

"I won't be heartless and make you recount your nightmare but I would tell you that it is not a nightmare. It is your memory. The ordeal was so horrendous that it got imprinted to your soul and even when I transplanted it into this body remnants remained. That is also how you remember your old life, however. You recounted it on your sixteenth birthday, in your new body that is." he explained.

Sabrina looked at him like he was some crazy person. "What are you talking about?" she asked.

"Oh, where are my manners?" the man smirked. "My name is Lucifer and you are in Hellion. It is a parallel universe to yours and in this universe, we have developed the technology to extract energy signatures that identify an individual and transcribe it into an unborn embryo. You see in this universe there are no souls. The only way we can have a new life is by extracting souls from other branes. You happen to be one such soul, however, we never found a compatible body for you for thousands of years. That changed sixteen years back. You grew up like a normal Demon, that is the name for the people of Hellion. But on your sixteenth birthday, you collapsed. When you refused to identify the family with whom you were placed you were brought here, under my care. I am kind of like your king." Lucifer explained.

"Wait, you are Lucifer and I am in Hell. I am in the body of a demon and I have been given a new life by you? Then again this is a parallel universe. Am I trapped in a horror movie or a science fiction?" Sabrina asked with exasperation.

"You are trapped in reality," Lucifer explained.

"But I wasn't dead when you found me, was I?" Sabrina asked in defiance.

At that Lucifer gave an evil grin and his eyes darkened in response. "If I hadn't brought you along with me you would have been thrust in anybody and made to serve in the factories where your flesh would have been burnt off you every day and then your skeletons would be submerged in an acidic chemical where all your muscles would be regenerated completely only to be burnt off again. Burnt demon flesh is a delicacy among the high born demons. Trust me when I say that I was looking out for you and being the King there are rules that I am allowed to flout." he peered into her eyes demanding her defiance once more.

"You killed me," Sabrina recalled, her accusation a mere whisper.

"Better to kill you to give you a second chance than to die for you to give you empty promises," Lucifer said.

"But that is not it, is it. You are not telling me everything," Sabrina claimed.

"What do you want me to hear, Sabrina? You want to hear how I tracked down and killed every creature whose DNA I found on and inside you, how that nearly destroyed the peace and tranquillity of the multiverse because I violated a major treaty? Do you want to know how I harvested each of those souls and made sure that all throughout your childhood you were fed nothing but their flesh? Or do you want to know how I manipulated the entire system to put you in the parental custody of my own valet so that I could keep a watch on you from the day you were planted in this body? I want you Manila, body, mind and soul and I will have no creature tarnish what is destined to be mine. I want to be your first and last in everything, do you understand?" Lucifer growled.

Sabrina whose throat grew parched in dread at his outburst looked on him with awe. "My name is Sabrina," she whispered under her breath.

"In this life it is Manila. I named you myself." Lucifer explained.

"I cannot give you what you ask. My soul is scarred. I can't forget the memories lodged there and they make me seem impure, dirty even. I cannot give you what you are asking for." Sabrina said with regret.

"I want to be your first and last in everything Manila and I will erase every hurt that you have ever faced." Lucifer promised.

"I am not a virgin," she whispers with regret laced in her voice. She never thought she would regret her past. She never thought she could regret experiencing pleasure. But his touch, his breath, it didn't just give her pleasure. The word pleasure wasn't a strong enough word for the electricity running through her. His electric blue eyes fixed on her in a moment.

"I said I am going to be your first and your last. I wasn't talking about the bloody layers of skin. I was talking about your soul," he clarified. That was when his eyes suddenly changed to pitch black and not just his pupils, his entire eyeball. Panic shot up Manila's heart and choked her. She couldn't scream and she couldn't breathe. That was when she saw his fangs as he parted his lips in a sinister smile. "I am going to mark you as mine," he declared.

"How do you have fangs? Aren't you supposed to be a fallen angel or something?" she finally managed to rasp out.

He looked at her as if she were asking him the wrong question; as if she was supposed to know. "Have you ever seen a fallen angel before? I am the King of demons and I am your mate," he declared as his lips and the fangs touched her skin and Manila felt her vagina clench in expectation as this stranger drew her blood.
