4 Chapter-4 Dropping The Bomb

In a dark forest, full of trees, a girl was running as the cold wind pierced her skin, and huge trees were continuously blocking her path.

Without caring about all this, the girl, who looked just like Lilly, kept on running, ignoring the cuts and bruises in her body, as blood oozed out from them.

In her room, Lilly jerked awake, breaking in cold sweat, panting heavily.

" What was that? Why was I running? From whom? What kind of a dream was that? ", she wondered, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

" I never had dream of this kind before but it felt so real that it did not appear like a dream. I am sure that it was me but, how? What was that? ", Lilly wondered in astonishment.

She looked around to find Emma asleep beside her bed. She fell asleep while sitting on a chair and that sight made Lilly smile.

I should not have asked her to stay. I just made her uncomfortable. She thought and slowly removed her blanket but suddenly, she felt a strong piercing pain in her stomach and extreme thirst.

" Ahh!!! ", she cried, grabbing her stomach.

Her cries woke Emma up and she held her worriedly.

" What happened, Lilly? ", she asked, worriedly.

" I... I... ", she tried answering her but words didn't come out of your mouth.

" What happened, Lilly? ", Emma asked again, worried for her.

" My stomach.... stomach. "

These were the only words she could utter but, Emma understand what was happening to Lilly and what she meant.

" Is your stomach hurting? ", she asked.

Lilly just nodded her head in agreement as she was not able to bear so much pain.

" Are you feeling thirsty too? "

She again nodded as she realised that she was also feeling very thirsty.

" Don't worry. It will subside it a while. ", she said, as she helped Lilly lie down and ran out of the room.

" Just wait for me. ", she said, before running off, leaving Lilly alone in the room, suffering in agony.

Just as Emma said, the pain itself subsided before Emma could even return, leaving a disheveled Lilly surprised.

As Emma made her lie down on the bed to help her in her agony but now that the pain had disappeared, she stood up from the bed, when Emma came with a man behind her and when she looked she could see a very handsome face eyeing over her as he came running.

It was a perfect face that could only be defined as God gifted and nothing else. He had thick white skin and a straight elegant face which comprised a pair of deep blue eyes that at first glance, seemed deep and cold, just like an ocean but, after looking problem, those eyes were filled with worry and anxiety. His dark hair with a muscular, slim body made him very attractive.

He had a straight jawline with thin lips which were slightly pouting in worry. He also had sword shaped eyebrows which were so furrowed in worry that it felt that they would combine with his eyes while his forehead had droplets of sweat.

" So is this Alex? ", Lilly wondered, sitting back on her bed.

" Are you alright now? ", Emma asked, pushing the man behind her aside.

" Yes. Just the way you said, the pain disappeared by itself. "

Hearing Lilly's reply, Emma glared at Alex, who looked uncomfortable with her gaze. Emma's gaze were so sharp that they could even pierce a rock which even made Lilly feel restless and anxious.

" Lilly, this is Alex. ", she said, pointing to the man who was standing in the corner. " He is the one who helped you and brought you here.

I had a feeling and I was right! Lilly thought.

" Thanks Alex. ", she said.

" Just let me remove this and you both can talk. ", Emma said, removing the IV drip from Lilly's hand.

" I am leaving now, you both can talk and Alex, make sure to answer all her questions. ", she said, walking out of the room, giving Alex death glare, leaving Lilly alone with Alex.

There was awkward silence between them as this was their first meeting since Lilly did not remember anything and both of them knew that until Lilly broke the ice.

" I heard that you helped me. Sorry, I don't remember you. Did you know me? ", she said.

" Yes, I came to know that you lost some of your memories. How are you feeling? ", he asked, hesitantly.

" Beside a little headache and sudden attacks of pain, I am alright. ", she replied, sitting on the bed, giving Alex chance to take a seat too.

" So, did we know each other? I can't seem to remember you at all. "

" You don't remember anything? What happened to you in the cave? What happened in that forest? Nothing? ", he asked with surprise.

" No, I think I have some memories of the cave but nothing after that. ", she replied, forgetting about the dream she had, just some time before.

" About the cave? "

" Yes. I think I saw you. ", she said, looking at his legs, trying to confirm her doubt.

" What do you remember? ", he asked, getting nervous.

She tried her best to remember everything she could and asked, " Was that you who asked if I could get up, in that cave? "

His frowned face lit up at her question.

" Yes, that was me. Do you remember me now? Do you remember what happened just before that? ", he asked excitedly, hoping to get a positive answer.

" No. ", she replied, crashing his hopes down. " If that was you, then I just remember that you asked me if I could get up. "

" And? "

" Nothing beside that. ", she replied.

No! I first have to make sure that he helped me and did not take any advantage of me. I can't tell him that I remember more things until he reveals that he was the one who injected me.

" You don't remember anything else? ", he said disappointed.

" Yes. Can you tell me what you did after asking me that? "

" After I asked you to try getting up, you did so but because of severe pain, you were not able to and I was not able to watch you in that agony so, I injected you something which helped made you fall asleep. That also made it easier for me to bring you here as I did not know where to take you. ", he explained.

Lilly analysed each and every word he spoke to make sure that he was answering truthfully and after confirming that his answer matched the fragments in her memory she spoke up.

" Thank you and sorry. I remembered that part. ", she said, quickly accepting her fault.

" You did? ", he asked surprised. " Then why did you...? "

" I did not say that because I wanted to be sure that it was you whom I saw in that cave. I am sorry. "

" Then now please don't lie to me. You can't even imagine what it took me to come here. "

" Why? "

" First tell me, what else do you remember? ", he asked, avoiding her question.

" Nothing else. Rest all is blank. "

He looked at her with crooked eyebrows, not wanting to believe her.

" Really. This time I am not lying. ", she insisted.

I should not have apologised to him and told him. She regretted in seconds.

" Are you sure? Please don't lie to me. "

" Really. That was the only thing I remember and it was Emma, who told me that it was a tranquilizer you injected me. "

" Do you not remember asking me to save you? ", he asked.

" I asked you to save me? ", she asked surprised. " Then you must be knowing what happened to me before that, right? "

" Don't you want to know how I saved you? ", he asked, trying his best to pull himself to drop the bomb.

" How? "

He took a deep breath and kept on encouraging himself in his mind to tell her.

" I turned you. ", he whispered so softly that Lilly was not even able to hear him.

" What? Can you repeat again? "

" I TURNED YOU INTO A VAMPIRE. ", he said, dropping the bomb on her head.
