3 Two

'Your not doing this Sarah,' Uriah cleans out a mug.

'Why does everyone keeps saying that, yes I bloody am,' I gulp down a swig of beer.

'Well I'm not going, this is too dangerous for you,' Blake exclaims

'Oh come on Blake I need you,'

'No Sarah. I know your good but this is way too much, he'll actually murmur you,'

'She's right,' Uriah places the mug on a shelf, 'your the best here but you cannot go through with this,'

I ignore Uriah and look at Blake, 'I'm doing this with or without you, make it easier and come with me,' I place a hand on her shoulder, but she says nothing and leaves silently. I stay in my chair and look at my hands, I think about José, and Grudges Corpse where I will be travelling to. I know I couldn't do this alone, I will die. But giving the people of Anderson hope is what I want.

'Your still going,' Uriah doesn't look at me. I nod even thought he might not see. He sighs a deep sigh and I stand.

'Thank you,' I leave straight away.

Outside there's commotion. People are running out of their homes and into the street, where a crown forms right in the middle. I can't see who or what they are surrounding, but I manage to push through.

'Sarah, it's Jake,' my uncle Tom walks over to me and I manage to get a glance, but not enough to make him out.

'This is stupid,' I groan, as I walk away I hear Uncle Tom say 'thought you'd say that,' and chuckle.

I go back into the saloon, Uriah unlocks the door for me and with a strop I sink into a stool by the bar.

'What happened?' Uriah walks behind the bar.

'That jerk Jake's arrived, the crowd is ridiculous,' Uriah passes me another pint.

A loud bang on the door makes me jump, spilling some of my drink over the counter. Uriah seems to not have heard it, his hearing is definitely going.

|bang bang bang|

'Is that the door?' He goes over to unlock and a man walks in quickly.

'Who are you?' Uriah lock the door again,

'Do not let anyone in here, those people are crazy,' the man points at the door. He young, around my age, with light brown hair and a slightly unshaven face.

'Ah, you must be Jake Jones,' Uriah come behind the bar again and Jake follows.

'That I am,' he sits down a stool or so away from me, 'and you are?'

'Uriah Smith, I own this saloon, drink?,'

'Beer please,' he's polite and dimples show up when he talks. I try not to stare and just look down at my drink.

'Whose this?' Jake must be talking about me as there is no one else inside.

'This is my friend Sarah, uh, she's not very fond of you,' Uriah whispers the last part. I don't hear a reply but see a motion thought the corner of my eye.
