2 One

'I don't understand it either hun, sorry' Uriah wipes the bar the same way he's done the last twenty years.

'I mean it's one guy, what's so amazing,' I stare at the pint clasped in my palms.

'He's great, everyone thinks so,' he pauses and leans on the extra clean counter, 'I listen to hundreds of conversations every day Sarah, they adore him,'

I look up at him exhaustedly and he chuckles, 'Why does this bother you so much hm?'

'I just don't understand, what's he done, I've saved Anderson countless times and then he shows up and it's like I never existed,' I sigh.

'Someone's jealous,' Uriah swiftly walks away before and can reply and I groan before gulping down the last of my beer.

'Sarah!' A voice at the entrance shouts, I swivel around and my friend Blake beams a wide smile like always.

'Hi Blake, you good?'

'Fine, I have news!' She sits at the stool next to me and grabs my arm. I stare at her silently.

'Jake is coming to Anderson! Can you believe it?' She almost shouts and a couple of people down at the tables look over, obviously surprised.

'Your joking,' I'm not amused.

'Not even! They say he'll be here in just a few hours, I have never been more excited,' Uriah comes over.

'Hi Blake, what's going on?' His Middle Aged face stretches into a smile. He always had a soft spot for Blake no matter how annoying she can be.

'Jake Jones is coming to the village, Jake Jones Uriah!' She slams the bar and I jump before going back to my second pint. I try to ignore the conversation and think about the new wanted sign at the post office. I saw it being placed up earlier this morning and I'm eager to have a look.

'Come on Sarah, have you seen the wanted sign yet?' Blake stands up.

'Not yet,'

'Let's go then, thanks Uriah I'll see you later I guess,'

We leave through the swing doors of the saloon. The sun is much higher than it was when I arrived and people are walking around everywhere.

It only takes us a couple minutes to walk to the post office, Anderson's only a small village.

'Oh my god,' Blake's face looks completely in awe and I follow her gaze to the piece of paper with a picture of a middle aged man and the name 'José Rodriguez'. A little lower down is the pricing. $2000 $1000 dead.

'Fwah,' I grab the paper and look at it in my hands, 'that's a lot of money Blake, we could really do with this,'

'B-but, do you know who this is?' Blake points at his face, I shake my head.

'José and his gang murmured a whole village, he's the most dangerous person in Texas AND Mexico together,'

I look at Blake for a second, 'I'm doing this Blake, Anderson needs this money, I need this money,'
