2 The separation

[Author note:- The story starts in chapter 2. The prologue introduces the overall view of the world background and explained it. Feel free to skip it if you are not interested, but as the author, I recommend reading it.]

When Lin Yichen was 5 years old, an incident happened that caused a huge uproar in the Lin family.

As small Yichen went to meet his father in the clan's hall, he saw three strange-looking men causing a commotion there.

The man which looked the same age as his father with silver hair, 6 ft tall, and a strong muscular build comparable to that of a knight lashes out at his father Lin Zhang in a lethal tone: "Lin Zhang! How dare you elope with my fiancee? You shall be punished for this!"

The entire clansmen were left shaken by it. They didn't expect Yanyu to be that strange man's fiancee.

Even though they didn't quite like her and truly accepted her because of her unknown origin, they didn't guessed that she was an engaged woman as well. That was crazy!

All eyes stared at Lin Zhang in surprised.

Lin Zhang, 33 years of age with silky black hair carefully tied with the pin, his deep dark brown eyes comparable to the ocean was one handsome man with a build similar to that of an athlete.

As he sensed the judging stares from his clansmen, he stood up tall and refuted strongly: "Wang Hu! Scram off! Yanyu had told me all about you. You set up her father so that you can marry her."

Wang Hu was left intimidated by it. He never thought that Yanyu would expose all of it to this lowly man.

'This...! Damn Yanyu, you shall be punish for this!'

He cursed her inside.

He turned to Lin Zhang and asserted menacingly: "Whether I set her up or not, it doesn't concern you. Yanyu and I are meant to be. She is to become the future head of our tribe. There's no way that she can stay in this lowly place and accompany you."

His words triggered all the sense in Lin Zhang that his prowess was burning inside. He was infuriated with rage.

To make sure that he never dared to take Yanyu away from him again; he immediately stood up and charged in.

He quickly released the Earth rank Elephant's trumpet onto him.

The yellow colour translucent elephant immediately appeared and took it out onto Wang Hu and his men.

It was vicious and heavy that they were left shaken for a while but were soon quickly restored and maintained their position.

They withstand it!

The Lin clansmen including Lin Zhang were left shocked by it. The Elephant trumpet technique which their Lin clan were so proud of does not affect this man.

Just who the hell is he?

All eyes stared at him in wonder. Wang Hu scoffed at it and belittled him: "Tch! Is that all? This is such a lame technique. Well...It does give a little tickle to your body. Ha..ha...ha.."

He mocked him satirically and the two men that came with him laughed hard at it.

One of them then spoke up ridiculing him: "Lin Zhang, Just give up. You are not on par with our young master. You are only an early fourth level Immortal."

Lin Zhang was left agitated by it that he immediately charged with the earth level waves techniques of the Lin clan.

Wang Hu quickly dodged it and soon released his hellish domain. It quickly spread to the entire area in just a flash.

Only a cultivator at an Immortal Emperor level could release such a dreadful domain.

[A/N:- The domain release by a cultivator causes a barrier creating a separate space to construct the environment within it. Once the domain is released the target is bound to be trapped within the barrier. Everything under the domain became the caster's territory and the caster can do anything under his domain]

The domain was powerful and hellish that all of the Lin clansmen were unable to stand still. They instantly laid down and fell to their knees including Lin Zhang himself.

It was as if they were kneeling to him.

Wang hu was clearly showing his superiority by releasing his domain.

Irked by it, Lin Zhang shakily turned to look at him and meet him in the eye: "You have reached the Immortal Emperor level?"

His bitterness was crystal clear.

Wang Hu's men scoffed at it.

One of them then spoke up boldly: "You lowly man, it was your good fortune that you can witness our master's domain. Not many can see it. Give up already."

Lin Zhang glanced at them menacingly. If looks could kill, they would have already been dead.

Not liking the fact that Lin Zhang is still looking at him with those disgusting eyes, Wang Hu quickly increased his domain and forced him to look down at the ground.

The Lin clansmen were having trouble dealing with it.

They too were having a hard time breathing in his dreadful domain.

One of Wang Hu's men then demanded in spitefulness: "Just hand over Lady Yanyu to us and we will spare you."

"Dream on!"

Lin Zhang roared in animosity.

"Tch! You ask for it!"

Wang Hu reacted in hostility and promptly gave an instant blow of the celestial level mind splashes onto him.

As quickly as it seeped inside Lin Zhang's brain. He was left traumatised.

The strong ultrasonic wave rang in his brain causing his mind to go total berserk. He felt immediate pain and struggled with a concussion.

His consciousness was swept away at that instant.

Unable to bear it, Lin Zhang held down his head and screeched in pain.

The Lin clansmen were left horrified by it; even though they wanted to fight off this monster they weren't able to do so because of their low prowess and weak cultivation.

That man was in the Immortal Emperor realm and they had no chance against him. The Lin clansmen showed their cowardness there. They stayed low in fear of being defeated, no one dares to stand up for Lin Zhang or his wife.

Provoked by the fact that these bad guys were harming his father; small Lin Yichen rushed to the scene. He held tight the man's leg and demanded angrily: "Don't hurt my father!! You bad guy!"

"Your father?!"

Wang Hu glanced down at the small boy in surprise.

This small boy called him, 'Father?!' and he even could withstand my domain.

'Is he Yanyu and his child?'

He gazed at the boy with wondering eyes.

Intrigued by the small boy; he promptly picked him up by his shirt and observed him closely.

The boy indeed looked handsome. He had this cute keen eyes, a beautiful tall nose and handsome lips. He had got the looked and even inherit the silver colour hair of their tribe!

"You are Yanyu and that scoundrel's son?", he spoke up in bewilderment.

"Don't you dare hurt my father, you bad guy."

The little boy kicked his legs and struggled to escape.

Wang Hu scoffed at it. He glanced at the small boy with his sick glare and spoke up amusingly: "Since, you are Yanyu's and his son then..there is no reason to keep you alive; I shall kill you here"

With it, he immediately lifted his hands ready to kill him.

The Lin clansmen were left tensed by it.

Just as he was about to hit him; Yanyu instantly appeared with a frightening domain.

She was a gorgeous woman in her early thirties, her long silver hair flows till her belly. With those sparkling turquoise eyes, she looked powerful and quite intimidating. She had all the curves in the right places. Her milky white skin blends well with her dark blue colour dress enough to mistake her for a goddess descendant.

"Stop it!", she commanded intimidatingly.

Panicked by it, Wang Hu's men immediately kneeled and gave her their respect.

Wang Hu glances at her irritatingly and spoke up infuriated: "Yanyu! You even dare to have a child with him? Have you ever considered the prestige of the tribe? Is the tribe a joke to you?"

Yanyu slightly gazed at Lin Zhang to see how he was doing.

'Tsk! I am late'

She realised that Wang Hu had already used the celestial mind splashed onto him.

To confront them, she maintained her composure and responded in boldness: "Ahh..the so-called tribe and their lame rules?! I have been long away from it and I am no longer a part of the tribe. I am now a part of the Lin Clan."

"Yanyu! You shall be punished for this!"

Wang Hu lashed out irritatedly.

"Return with us! Otherwise, you and your Lin clan will see their doom today. You know the tribe rules and you dare to break them? Aren't you afraid of the consequences?"

Wang Hu threatened her with malice.

Yanyu held her breath in and stood up in courageousness, she was ready to face them head-on.

As she took a quick turn, she saw the cowardly Lin family keeping their low profile. Even the brothers of her husband were not standing up for her or her husband. Instead, they all were kneeling there like a wimp. It was as if the Lin clan were more than willing to give them up than to deal with Wang Hu.

Even though they could fought it off with their might, they took the cowardly path and lay low.

Seeing it was no use for her to stand up anymore, Yanyu assumed that it was better to give herself up instead. She better leave with them and saved her son, husband and the cowardly Lin family.

With the thought in mind, she turned to Wang Hu and proclaimed in composure: "I will come with you, only if you spare my child and keep his existence a secret."

Wang Hu glanced at her then at the child.

'This...?!!'. He was having it hard to accept it.

'Since Yanyu finally made up her mind to come with us instead of fighting a bloody battle then maybe it is better to heed it. Furthermore, she is pretty strong, it won't do us any good to get into a fight with her'

With the thought in mind, he spoke up cautiously: "Very well. I will agree with you just this once."

His followers were left stunned by it.

Even though they wanted to speak up about it, they maintained their composure and followed their master's words. Since their master consent to it, they too will keep the existence of Yanyu's child a secret.

Wang Hu slowly put down small Lin Yichen onto the ground.

Happy with the released, small Yichen hurriedly scrambled towards his mother.

"Mother". He hugged her dearly.

Yanyu looked at him endearingly and noted caringly: "My son, cultivate well and become strong to protect the ones you love. Take good care of your father and always keep this with you. Always knows that your mother loves you dearly."

With it, a drop of tears fell from her eyes.

Yanyu handed him the green phoenix jade pendant.

Small Yichen held it with his cute hands and looked at it with keen eyes.

Yanyu put up a brave face and left her child and husband there. To keep them safe, she followed them and walked out from there along with them.

Seeing that his mother was leaving him behind, small Lin Yichen cried hard, "Mother...!! Don't leave me! Don't leave me!"
