Prologue
[Author note:- The story starts in chapter 2. The prologue introduces the overall view of the world background and explained it. Feel free to skip it if you are not interested, but as the author, I recommend reading it.]
The world presented in the novel is very much different from our world.
The mortals here rely only on their qi and the spiritual energy to improve themselves. They try and used several cultivation methods to cultivate and increase their overall being. Likewise, other living beings like animals, insects, and non-living things like those mountains, and stones are all the same.
They depend on spiritual energy to thrive and some even refine and evolve to become supreme beings.
Here on the black planet, the power speaks.
Those with the highest rank of cultivation will be at the top. It is common for people on the black planet to look down on those who have low prowess and cultivation.
A person with little to no prowess is regarded as a paralyze person and is treated badly by his fellow peers. There is no use in living on this planet without prowess.
Every living being is striving to cultivate to become the top of them all.
The black planet has five main Qi continents.
They are: the Desert continent, Water continent, Fire continent, Metal continent, and lastly Earth continent where our MC lives.
The Earth continent is the most fascinating and peaceful of them all. With many stunning landscapes and beautiful flora and fauna, it is a popular sightseer enticement. Almost the entire earth continent is filled with mountains, lakes, hills, and vast forest areas, therefore, the mortals here enjoy many natural resources. The climate here is also good for habitation but not that efficient for one's cultivation.
Because of the moderate climatic conditions, the spiritual energy isn't good as compare to other continents, the only benefit that comes from it is that the earth continent is the most peaceful amongst its fellow continents.
Unlike the other continents, the Earth continent has three famous sects. They are: The Gold sect, Glorious sky sect and Autumn sky sect.
These three sect controls the law and order of the earth continent. They are the most powerful and of the supreme authority. They make the laws, they are the laws.
Coming back to our MC, our MC family the Lin clan is one of the famous three clans of the Earth continent.
The generations of the Lin clans are pretty much talented and they have developed their method of cultivation over time. Though they aren't as strong as those three sects, they are indeed capable to stand on their own because of their unique cultivation skills.
The Lin clan have taught themselves their unique cultivation skills for generations to generations making them one powerful and thriving family of the continent.
Not only that, the clan provide disciples for the three sects from time to time giving them a solid footing.
Because of it all, the people there have high respect for the Lin clan.
The chief of the Lin family, Lin Zhang was onetime famous for his skills and talents before he loses it all to a fight with an unknown man. He became a mad man on that day.
Though the good rumours spread fast, the bad rumours spread even faster like a wildfire.
The entire earth continent now knows of the fall of the young leader of the Lin clan. That was one terrific loss and the Lin clansmen lose their face because of it. The once glorious talent of the Lin clan is now a disgrace to them.
Because of shame, they shut down Lin Zhang in his house and aren't allowed to go outside the clan.
Apart from the Lin's, there are two other famous clans on the entire earth continent. They are the Gao clan and the Hu clan.
Both the clan's history is somewhat similar to the Lin's, they can produce their cultivation methods, making them glorious and successful.
Though the achievements of the three clans are quite similar, they aren't necessarily on good terms with each other. They are competitive and are always on the nerves of each other.
The next continent is the water continent. Just as the name implies, the water continent is filled with vast beautiful oceans and islands.
The mortals in the continent are those kinds who love to live peaceful and isolated life. All of the population there are united with only one sect, one ruler.
The next continent, the Fire continent is very much contradictory to all the other continents. The entire Fire continent has only two powerful sects that are the Blood moon sect and the White moon sect.
The two are always in conflict with each other and are equally powerful and competitive.
Coming up next is the Metal continent.
As the name implies, the metal continents are bountiful with various types of metals.
Steel, bronze, gold, platinum, name it and you will get it.
Not only that, they are plentiful in various precious stones like the rubies, diamonds, everything is available here.
Because of the inexhaustible amount of metals and precious stones being found there, the metal continent is extremely rich.
They didn't have either a ruler or a sect except for one association, that is the Forge master association which is under the direct rule of the 'Royalty'.
The Forge master association pledged their loyalty to the Royalty and the reason is unknown to outsiders.
This Royalty is the only one of its kind in the entirety of the black planet.
It is said that they are the most ancient and the most powerful authority of the entire five continents.
The royalty stays and live on the most mysterious continent of all which is the Desert continent.
No one outside the continent knows what this continent looks like as they aren't able to enter it without permission. Furthermore, the procedure to enter this deserted continent is also extremely hard. Because of it, the faces of the royalty are unknown to outsiders. Only the forge master associations and the Desert Continent knows what they look like.
As mentioned, the royalty is powerful on their own but they are also supported by the famous three tribes of the Desert continent.
They are- The Shilin tribe, The Genji tribe and The Fenglok tribe.
