7 Don’t hurt me no more

Lets face it, all of us have had dark moments in our lives but we all chose to deal with it differently. That is what creates our personality along with the way we think and react. Our mind is a clever machine, it chooses what to keep and what to leave aside. However, if a memory is forgotten it is never truly lost, just buried deep within the maze of our mind.

She had always been weary of people, everyone, from the man who walked past her in the streets to the old lady in the park. Some thought in her mind always made her feel unsafe around people.

Then this man comes a long and pushes all her boundaries. He talks to her, takes her out to places and shows genuine respect and love for her. It may seem stupid to all the people around her but the lingering doubts in her head, the what ifs in her mind stop her from loving him the way he loves her.

She told her friends and they just laughed it off. It hurts she had thought while she was lying on her bed a during university. No one understood, everyone had just thought she was nervous or shy but it wasn't that. It was that fear that rushed over her when someone touched her. It was the way her hands trembled when people approached her. Yet no one understood. Everyone took it as a joke and it hurt.

It had been a couple of hours since she had started to hunt. Not only did her brain hurt from thinking about mortgages, deposits and her poor bank account, it was also those deep yet terrifying thoughts that crept in when she stopped thinking that made her feel restless.

She knew she couldn't sit here and look for houses anymore. No there were more important things like her stomach that she needed to feed before something bad happened. She grumbled as she pushed herself off the bed stretching out her legs as well; she looked like she was trying to do some sort of extreme yoga. Putting on her fluffy slippers she closed the door behind her shut. Later that night she fell asleep lying peacefully on the bed after having had many bowls of pasta and fried chicken from the hotel restaurant.
