12 Chapter 12: Programming

"You're born to become a Wizard. Your soul being strong symbolizes your Soul Root's rank is highest it can be. As for becoming a Warrior. Frankly your body is trash that is only good for burning. Fortunately for you, you ate my fruit and that gives you fuel to burn for almost eternally. But for nurturing and tempering your initial potential rank is still too low so it's better if you forget about it. That's my evaluation."

"Just a I thought huh. Well then Wizard it is then. Well thanks for all the information dude. I think its time for me to wake up. Hey can I still talk to you outside?"

"No, you can't. I'm using this sprout to talk directly to your soul and I can't do that outside."

"Well that's unfortunate. Anyway, then for now goodbye."

After coming out of the first door I will myself to my second door and open it. It's still same endless corridor with one frame on my left side wall. I come before it and observe the Matrix for fireball. While trying to burn the wolf I understood that I don't need to concentrate on the Matrix. It will always be stable. What's important is mana and image. At least for me.

Now that I took a closer look, this Spell Matrix looks almost like Graph Algorithm programming. It simply directs the mana in shortest and most efficient way to cast the spell. Only difference is form and language it's written. But fundamentally it's same as programming. From the look of it, it looks like I can tweak it little bit to my own use. But creating whole new one would prove extremely difficult without extensive research.

Still, if I manage to tweak the existing Matrix to my liking then that would make things convenient. But even that might be quite difficult. How do I tweak the fireball then? Well best would be fire breath after all. Breathing fire like a dragon. Just thinking about it make my hair stand on their ends. Hehe.

Problem is, even if I manage to tweak the Matrix the way I want to. It may achieve the look but it may not necessarily have the sufficient firepower to it. So, unless I manage to change the whole structure of the matrix to higher ranked one it won't have a point.

So, only possibility is to try my theory. When I injected more mana into the Matrix temperature of the flame increased. That means more mana I inject more fire I will get and higher my mana's quality is hotter the temperature of the fire will be.

If my guess is right that would mean I can increase the power of the spell if I inject more mana into the Matrix while casting it. That would ideally solve the problem of firepower.

But for that I need to increase my mana's quantity and quality. And that would take time. What I can do now is to tweak with the Matrix.

Now let's see, mana gets injected into the Matrix and gets converted to Elemental mana then makes it vibrate at high frequency thus igniting the fire and uses the excess mana to keep it in contained shape which would be ball. Thus, creating the Fireball.

So, what I want is just a flame thrower. Problem with that is flame thrower requires a fuel. And I can't create that yet. Then I think if I manage to change the shape containing the fire into something like a cone and pump the fire from the smaller end and cause the fire to come out from the other side it will do the job.

Then as long as I got enough mana to feed the fire, it will go along the cone and come out from the bigger end. But problem with that would be size of the cone. If the bigger end of the cone is too big it will allow the fire to just spread out after coming out. And that wouldn't be a flame thrower. That's just stove

So, to fix that shape of the cone needs to be adjustable. Be capable of extending and shrinking and expanding both ends. And that problem can be solved by feeding more mana to the container and adjust the image I have in my mind.

Okay, now that I got the idea how do I tweak this Matrix. As soon as I thought that I appear in front of the Interface. It shows:

Matrix: Fireball

Under the name is Spell Matrix for fireball. Looks like I can edit it however I want. It looks almost like Paint from Windows.

This makes things so much more convenient.

Now that I know how to edit the Matrix let's do it. So, there is not much to change, only the shape of the container after fire is ignited. So, in order to do that I take the part about the shape and simply change the shape into cone after that simply place the place of origin at the smaller end of the cone.

And I think this does the job. Now how do I save it. As soon as I thought that I'm back in the second Door and there is a new frame with a new Matrix in it. Doesn't look much different from fireball.

Okay, now that I got the Matrix I need to try casting it. I think its time to wake up then.

I try to wake up and somehow fail.

"DING!"

I appear in front of the Interface.

So, it seems increase in body potential seems to had more effect on me than I thought. So, it seems I can only wait while my body adapts to its sudden change.

Then what can I do while that happens.
