1 A Truly Unfair Justice

A future without worrying about the next meal.

A world without the Seven Great Corruptions.

A content life that anyone could be satisfied with.

These thoughts surged throughout this little ragged child's mind as a lonesome boy stood to protect her from the rocks of discontent and discrimination.

She did not dream these for herself but for the one protecting her.

"Leave!"

"Without you, m-my child could have still been alive!"

"As expected of misfortune's bitch!"

Those cries of agony and vexation could be heard throughout the town square as men, children, women and the elderly continue to shout their resentment of the world to two little children.

Rocks flew, one after the other, homing in on its sole target, the little girl. Her scarlet hair had long been ruffled and disheveled by the years of homelessness and dirty scrapes of dust and dirt could be evident on her bangs.

However, these rocks never hit home as the little boy continued to stand forward, unrelenting in the face of absolute despair and hatred.

Bleeding profusely from his knees, arms and forehead, the little boy trembled not from fear or pain, but rather the weight of the rocks as they threatened to topple him.

He could not be said to be muscular but rather the exact opposite, he was thin, and suffered from malnutrition. Facing years of poverty and lack of food, it was only natural. His blonde hair was dyed red with his blood.

"Please Alias, I can no longer walk and if I come with you.... You'll only be facing hate a-and..."

The boy, Alias did not reply to the small cries of the little girl. Rather, inside his heart, flames silently lit up and like a wild fire, his courage and determination to save her grew incessantly.

"I won't let you die alone. That's what you said, right? It's a bit unfair if you go far away without me first." Alias grumbled and raised his left hand.

Suddenly, light engulfed the entire plaza as blinding flashes emanated from the young brave.

"You don't deserve these injustices that you've been thrust with since birth."

Thus a shining beacon of hope came to save this little unfortunate girl.
