His back yard was full of surprises for Aaron. It had a windmill kind of thing. A water wheel prototype, a crane like thing and several other big projects scattered all around.

"I am trying to harness the power of the wind and water. I know it could be used. I am just stuck as to how."

"Where could I use this motion which is generated from the wind and water."

Devito knew his experiments were yet to bear fruits.

Aaron though had completely different thoughts. He was thinking how close was Devito to the inventions on earth. A windmill and water wheel was a critical invention to grind the grains. Later on they were used to generate renewable and clean energy on earth.

Another thing which had shocked him was a metal pole standing in his back yard.

"This is to attract lightning. You might have seen the lightning rods installed on buildings. I am trying to research the effects of lightning on various things. "

What Devito was doing was actually researching electricity.

Aaron imagined Devito flying a kite in a stormy weather.

To be honest, with his built the scene seemed to be funny.

Aaron had decided to help the fellow out. He was truly a genious in this world. He had researched far more than any other person Aaron had met till now. Plus his dedication to science had Aaron truly impressed.

He called upon Devito at the end of his tour.

"I have to say Devito. I am truly amazed by your work. I have seen how much time and energy you have dedicated towards studying science and these projects of yours."

"I truly want to help you. I have a lot of theories and ideas you might be interested in."

"Plus my knowledge may help fill the void in yours. But sadly I am on my way to Tulip city. I can't afford to spend too much time here. "

Hearing that Devito was indeed dissapointed. This was his only chance to impress a mage but looks like he had failed.

"Could you being me a piece of paper and a pencil? " Aaron suddenly asked of Devito.

Devito hurried and got Aaron what he wanted.

Aaron drew a sketch on the paper and handed it over to Devito.

"This is how you can utilize the energy you have harnessed with the windmill or waterwheel. This is but one way. Have a look at it. "

When Devito went through the sketch, he was left with his mouth hanging open. If what the young mage in front of drew could be achieved, it would make the whole process of grinding grains simple. What clever use of the power.

He was truly amazed at the brilliance of the young man in front of him.

This was truly out of the box thinking.

Aaron though was little ashamed after he saw the reaction of Devito. He knew Devito saw him as a genius, but Aaron knew the truth. It wasn't something new. It was just something common from earth.

He just gave him a rough idea. As to actual implementation, Devito would have to figure it out himself.

"No. Do not thank me. It is a small thing. "

"But if you are really interested in learning from me, I want you to come to Tulip city. I am planning on staying there for a while."

"Come meet me there and I am sure we can work together to make some really amazing inventions. "

Devito didn't even need to think about the offer. He was ready to leave now.

"I have to be honest with you though. I am new to the mage Association. I am moving towards Tulip city to find my feet."

"Currently I can't afford to help you travel with the mage association gates."

"If you want to meet me at Tulip city, you would need to make the journey yourself. I don't want you to make a hasty decision. Think over it rationally and decide. "

Aaron decided to speak the truth to Devito. He didn't want to get his hopes too high and later be dissapointed seeing Aaron's current status.

"There is nothing to decide." Said Devito without wasting any time.

"I understand it costs a fair bit to use a mage gate. You don't have to worry about me. I will find you in Tulip city. "

Aaron was surprised at the quick decision. But he was happy to hear it.

"Good, I will leave a word with the mage Association there once I reach Tulip city. You will be able to find me with ease. "

Aaron would also inform the mage association in case he doesn't stay at Tulip city and move to another city. He won't let Devito search him without any direction.

"I was thinking of leaving early today. But half of the day is already over by now. I guess I will leave tomorrow."

"So that leaves us some time for today. What do you want to discuss? "

They talked about some theories Devito had. Aaron listened patiently. He told him about a few things he might have been wrong about.

For now Aaron decided not to disclose anything completely new. He wanted to know if Devito would follow him to Tulip city.

Aaron wasn't doing all of this completely out of good will. He also had his own interest in mind.

He had always wanted to build a few things from earth here.

With Devitos capability and his knowledge, that dream just might come true.

At the day's end, Devito had even more questions than ever. But these questions made him excited. He couldn't wait to improve his inventions and work on his new theories.

Aaron was exhausted after the day. He admired Devito for his enthusiasm. Even when Aaron called for a day, Devito looked fresh and was dissapointed that Aaron was leaving so soon.

Although Aaron enjoyed his discussion with Devito, he had firmly decided to leave the next day.
