81 Chapter 81

That day when Aaron got back to his inn, he knew he had a decision to make.

He had to make a plan on how to proceed. Hearing the story of Hound he knew going directly to the mage association asking for the history would land him in trouble.

And waiting for Anti mage association to succeed sounded like a long shot. From what Hound told him, Aaron could tell that the Anti mage association were a relatively small organization at present.

They lacked resources and people. They were forced to act like common bandits in order to raise funds.

As for Aaron reaching the top of the mage association, that too was seemed very time consuming, but it was still a better option than sitting around and doing nothing. He might be able to get other opportunities in the mean time.

He decided he would atleast try to escalate his position in the mage association. He might be able to find clues like the anti mage association founder.

He had one benifit, he knew how the other side was like. He was quite certain that the story of Invaders was certainly more true than the revolters theory.

During his stay at Blossom city, Aaron had developed a good relationship with Jeremiah. He saw Jeremiah almost everyday at the mage association.

Aaron decided he was the best person to know on how to advance in the mage association. He couldnt ask such questions directly off him. So he asked it as a part of a conversation.

"How did I reach my position you say?" Asked Jeremiah.

"Yes, I see you Mr. Park running this place. You must hold considerable power to do that."

"Hahaha. Yeah. We do run this place. We are the only yellow level comabt mages here."

"As to how we got here. It was bad luck. "

"Bad luck?" asked Aaron being surprised.

"Yes,bad luck. We are at the end of our growth. We may not look that old, but we have been stuck in our level without any growth for a long time. "

"We decided it was better working at a smaller city. We enjoy sufficient prestige here. And if we are able to have a lucky break throughs, we might be able to have a better position. "

"I see. There must be a lot of people at the same level in the association. How do association differentiate them? And how do they decide who works where?"

"The mages in the association can choose whether they want a permanent post or be loosely associated with us. If you choose to be an ordinary members, you get only the ordinary allowance and pay high prices for other services. "

"If you decide to work for the association, you get much more benifits. You could always apply to work for the association. The higher ups decide if you are capable and which position suits you the best."

"To increase your standing in the same level, you need to complete more missions. The higher the number of missions you complete, the higher your standing. "

"I can see you have some aspiration to be a part of the association, so let me be frank with you. "

"First thing, you are too young. Wait for a couple of years at least. People will tend to overlook young people no matter how talented you are. "

"And the second thing is that although combat and non combat badges are of same importance on paper, but the truth is that combat level holds more importance. "

"A mage with yellow level combat badge will be more important than a yellow level support class badge. Why do you think Park and I are stuck here? If we were combat mages with yellow level badges, we would be placed at a much better positions."

"The best option for you would be to go towards the central cities. It's a heaven for production class mages and a space mage is always in demand. With the amount of money you could make there, maybe you won't be interested in an official position."

"Thank you Mr.Jeremiah. Let me treat you to lunch tomorrow. "

"Silly. I am older. I will treat you to it on the morrow. I know a really good place. "

"Haha. Sure then."

Aaron took his leave.

He finally had some clues on how to proceed.

He was sure about one thing, if he wanted to achieve anything, he would need to leave Blossom city.

This was a big enough place, but its importance laid more towards the general population. From the mages point of view, it wasn't as important.

It could be seen in the fact that how many missions this branch of the association had to offer. For Aaron's level there was only one left now.

Also this place lacked any sorts of advance reads for a mage. The library was lack lusture and even the market lacked good quality books.

This branch didn't even had artifacts to sell.

Aaron decided he would leave this city. But where should he go? According to Jeremiah, best option was the central cities.

Aaron knew it was the best option for the current him. He could possibly earn a lot of money there. He needed a money. He knew that. Aaron lacked any sort of backing in this world. Money would be the best kind of backing for him.

Now the question was which city to go to.

Central cities represented a group of cities located in the central part of the continent.

Tulip city, Mimosa city, Daffodil city, Janus city and Vesta city.

These five cities together were called the central cities.

Any of these places were the same for Aaron. He knew as a True mage with a green level Badge, he would find some work.

He chose Tulip city. He would start from there and see what happens. If it doesn't suits him, he could move to another city from there.

Two days later, Aaron was ready to leave.

Only when he reached the Mage association to use the gates he found the real problem related to his travels.
