59 Chapter 59

Aaron had made his decision. Searching for the way back didnt have much hope left for him. He decided to listen to that crazy psychopath who got him here in the first place. He decided to move towards the brown silhouette.

He waited for the morning to leave since it was already getting late. He wasnt attacked by any beasts that day.

He started the next day feeling as fresh as he could in his state. It went by fast but the silhoutte was just as far. He still checked for the wall time to time, but didnt have much hope for it.

After a few days Aaron noticed that he encountered the magical beasts more often. He was starting to get attacked almost each night. The silhoutte appeared a little closer as well.

As days passed. Aaron was not only attacked during the nights, but he was attacked more than once. He got little sleep and tried to find some shelter during the day behind a rock or something to find some sleep.

His advance became slower and slower as he approached the silhoutte. The silhoutte seemed to look taller as he approached it. It almost seemed to reach the sky. Was it a mountain which was so high? Aaron didnt knew the answer, but he knew he would find it when he reached his destination.

The beasts appeared at higher frequency now and he saw beasts he hadnt seen in the five months before.

He had lost his last tent as well one night when he was attacked by 5 beasts at the same time.

Aaron had a hard time moving forwards. His supplies were dwindling. He felt pain all over his body. He had minor injuries all over. He got little sleep and was beginning to have constant mild headaches due to the overuse if his magical power. He had no moment of rest.

No wonder no one else was able to do what Aaron could do.

Only a space mage moving at rapid pace would have a chance to succeed in such place. Aaron's atomic blade and instant gates were a difference maker as well. Elemental spells didnt have much effect on the beasts much and took a lot of time to kill them.

What Aaron did and achieved would leave everyone with their mouth hanging open.

Even Thunder king didnt have hope to pass this area even with Aaron. Seeing Aaron now would might make him think of his decision again.

Aaron had grown into a fighter. He used the least amount of magic to kill a monster now. He moved, he fought, he rested. He was moving on his own it seems.

Those instant gates were deadly towards beasts who didn't react fast enough. And for the beats who lacked defense, one atomic blade was all it took.

If the border had few Aarons with them, maybe they wont have to sacrifice so many people.

Aaron's clothes were a mess. He stopped bothering with it though. New ones would be the same in a couple of days at most.

On what passed as a normal day now, Aaron suddenly found that he didn't have much more distance to travel. He was about to his destination. As he got nearer to the brown silhoutte, Aaron realized that the mountain silhoutte wasnt a mountain. It was more of a barrier. It reached as high as Aaron could see. As Aaron reached the barrier, he thought he could almost make out what was on the other side. But it stopped at almost. He never could make it out.

But Aaron was here. He had finally reached his destination. He had been chasing this place for more than a month now and he was finally here. He wasnt happy because he did something which no one else had done in recorded history. He was happy because he finished it, because he felt as if he was nearing the end of what he could handle as well. Both mentally as well as physically. He was in a sorry state.

He aporoached the barrier after he appreciated it enough but he didnt know whether it was safe to touch the barrier or not. He had no idea how it functioned either.

He picked up a rock and threw at the barrier. The stone hit the barrier and bounced off it like it hit a wall. Only difference was the lack of sound. It didnt produce any sound on hitting it.

So, it was safe for rocks. What about people? Was it safe? Or would it electocute or do something to a living person?

Aaron didnt have anyways to test it out. He waited for a beast to show up. They could be his test subjects. But none showed up even after hours of waiting. He cursed his luck. Even a beast wont show up when he needed it. He was being impatient having got so near his destination. He decided to risk it all on an impulse.

He got close enough to the barrier and tried to sense it with his mind. It registered as a wall in his detection skill as well. He couldnt see through it.

He tried to move his hand over it too to see if it radiated heat or something. He got nothing though.

He gingerly moved one of his fingers to touch the barrier. He touched it and pulled it back quickly. Nothing happened. He cursed himself for being so afraid. But he felt a little better seeing no reaction.

But soon the lack of reaction had him stumped. The barrier didnt react to anything. He touched it and it felt like he touched something soft and hard at the same time. It was hard to describe the feeling. He tried pushing towards it. It didnt react at all. He tried opening a gate through it, didnt work. He tried hitting it with his Atomic blade, it still didnt work. He had tried everything he could, but the barrier showed no reaction.

Now he knew why didn't any beast appear. They knew it was a dead end.

Aaron tried to dig beneath the barrier. He found that the barrier extended below the ground as well.

Was it the end? He had food and water only for a week at most. There was no way he could make it back now. He felt anger. Anger at being stuck here. Anger at Thunder king who made him come here. Anger at being reborn in this world in this place? Why wasnt he born in the main world?

Why didnt he have some godly ability? Why did he got stuck with space magic? Space is everywhere, so what?

Wait, space is everywhere? That sounds interesting.
