44 Chapter 44

Thunder king. No one knew his real name. He seemed to appear out of no where one day and shocked everyone with his power.

"I would like you all to be our guest for a while. "

The mage association members were a little scared of the person in front of them. They knew from the little confrontation that they cant beat him. But they couldnt just give up.

"Thunder king. So its was you behind all this. We should have expected someone to be behind all this. White brothers couldnt pull off this kind of heist alone. "

"But it doesnt matter. You should hand over yourself along with White brothers to the mage association. We have the superiorty in numbers and we have reinforcements coming soon. "

The carriage would be following with few others members soon. So he wasnt exactly bluffing on that.

"By superioty in numbers do you mean the three of you? Or the four others hidden behind that house?" Thunder king casually pointed towards the house Aaron and the others were hiding behind.

The mage association leader lost a little colour from his face. He had hoped that the four of them hiding behind the wall would recognize the situation was deteriorating amd would soon escape with the help of Aaron and inform the association of the the situation.

But their hope was crushed from that one sentence of Thunder king. Looks like he had excellent detection ability as well.

Thunder king slowly pointed at the direction of the house and let loose a bolt of lightning.

How fast was lightning? Faster than sound. It immediately reached the house and punctured it straight through.

He then spoke in a clear loud voice.

"I advice you to come out. Dont try to make a gate. The moment I sense a little bit of magic, you will find out how fast lightning truly is. "

Behind the house Aaron and others were watching the whole seen. This was the first real battle between mages he had seen. He had expected it to be much more destructing to be honest. It wasnt so. The spells used werent strong enough. He could sense some magic power and he could tell the spells didnt have much power. The mages were highly rated, but from what he could see, they werent particularly strong. Modern weapons such as grenades would cause more damage. Forget the missiles or higher grade weapons.

He was dissapointed. Was this there was all that was to become of a mage?

But then entered the calm looking man. He looked like he didn't belong to the scene. He casted a spell. A lightning web. The association mages didnt see him fast the spell. But Aaron and the others did. It looked like it didnt even take him a second to cast the spell which easily negated three spells the association mages conjured by concentrating for a few seconds. Aaron could see the difference between them.

As he stepped towards the scene, he could see the reactions, the mages were a little scared by the new comer.

The four of them discussed.

"Looks like White brothers arent the only one here. What should we do?" Asked Elizabeth.

"What should we do? We should go and help them." Stated Adam.

"How are you going to help them? Didnt you see the newcomer? He easily blocked an Air torpedo, A big fireball and a fire missile. Do you happen to posses spells stronger than that?"

Adam didnt speak any further.

"I think we should report to the association. How about Aaron leave to report and we stay behind and observe? We are hidden well and should be safe. " Elizabeth said after some thinking.

"What about it Aaron? Can you make a return trip? "

"I think I can. " Aaron would have ideally wanted to rest for a bit more before going back, but he couldn't afford it now.

"I think one of us should go with Aaron in case he cant all the way. " Suggested Ron

"Thats right he already must have used a lot of power. I think Elizabeth should go with him. If he cant go after a point, elizabeth could travel rest of the way. "

It was surprisingly Adam who said this. He might be a little arrogant, but he wasnt stupid. He was chivalrous enough to send out Elizabeth.

As they decided to leave and Aaron had just begun to concentrate to open a gate, a bolt of lightning came through the house they were hiding behind and went past them.

Then they heard Thunder king say

‎"I advice you to come out. Dont try to mke a gate. The moment I sense a little bit of magic, you will find out how fast lightning truly is. "

‎Crap. They have been found out. They didnt have much of an option other than coming out.

‎They slowly came out of the cover of the house.

‎"Well, the association ran off to the mage families for help for the little trouble I have caused. I feel honoured. " Said the Thunder king.

He could at one glance tell the three of them at least belonged to the mage families.

‎"I should thank the association for granting me more leverage. Lets see how they refuse me now."

‎He turned back to the mage association leader.

‎"I heard you mention some reinforcements. They wouldnt be any bigshots, right? Let them come. The more the merrier. "

‎The mage association leader knew they had fallen into a trap. They were helpless with the Thunder king around.

‎"It seems we will be waiting for a while here." He had a grin on his face.

‎Aaron knew this would turn bad.

‎"Lets play a game, shall we?"
