114 Chapter 114

Aaron breathed a sigh of relief. He was successful. Yes, it had taken him four months. Yes, he still needed to work on the spell to be practical. Yes, he was tired with a constant headache reminding him to have rest. But yes, he had succeeded.

What he had achieved was something he never thought was possible.

A gate could perhaps cut anything into half. But as soon as it neared a body with any will, it would collaspe and cease to be.

It wasn't that he hadn't tried it. He did, but failed everytime.

He needed a break. The constant headache was a reminder for that. As he was working, he had to keep the prison in place all the time. As a result he did improve massively with his space prison, but the head ache was taking a toll on him.

He knew he could afford to have a little rest now. He had come up with two new spells within a period of 4 months. If any maze were to hear this, they would be shocked beyond measures.

Aaron himself was feeling good about it.

The new spell he had achieved was simple in nature. He tear apart space where ever he wanted. It wasn't like a gate. But a real tear. The space healed the tear almost instantly, but it was there to be seen. A black line, black like none other black anyone has seen. Similar to a spatial gate.

He had experimented with a sheet of paper first, then a fruit, a weapon and random objects.

Within his prison with the space all hard, he could cut anything apart, without using any weapons.

He didn't need a sword or a dagger like before. He directly imagined a fine blade made of constricted space itself to cut the prison itself.

It sounded confusing, but it was the same way a steel sword was able to cut a piece of steel into two. Both were steel, but the edge given to the sword, and the process of forging granted the sword more strength than an ordinary piece of steel. It was the same concept applied to space.

Yes, the base was his atomic edged sword. No matter how well, he made it, how could a physical thing cut apart space? Leaving behind a trail, a scratch of sort was it's highest level. He failed before because he was trying the impossible. But the enlightment he got from Amelia made him imagine the space being an entity rather a concept.

Maybe that was something he was lacking before. He had never viewed space as an entity. He had always thought of space as more of an concept.

This was his second attempt into directly controlling space itself. First would be the prison, but he never thought too deeply about it.

Aaron knew he had opened a whole new range of possibilities with it. Although for now he wasn't able to wield this ability outside of his prison. But it was only a matter of time before he could.

Only one test remained for Aaron now. He needed a live subject. Of course he wouldnt perform it on any humans, but an animal would do. If anyone from PETA heard of it, they would be outside his door protesting, but intergalactic travel wasn't really a thing yet.

Aaron decided to have a break. He deserved one, needed one.

He had been a part of Tulip city for over 5 months now. He was considerablly poor before to have a good time. Later he got busy with his work. He rarely stepped outside his masion other than to train the space mages on his atomic edge.

He decided to spend some of his money and meet his acquittances in the city.

He called upon Rogan first.

"Aarob my boy. Good to see you. You look haggard by the way. "

" Good to see you to Rogan. Yeah I was busy on a spell and sort of lost track. "

" You are young. You should be running wild in the city as of now. You got money, you got fame. Cozing up all the time would ruin you. "

" I know. That's the reason I am out here. But you never once visited me." Aaron spoke in a mock angry tone.

" I know, I know. It was my mistake. I was busy with things myself. I never even got to know if that thing with the warriors was successful or not. "

" The experiment was a success. I have new spell in my arsenal. "

" That's good to hear. But I am curious as a mage to see it. If you don't mind that it. "

Aaron wondered for a second if he should be displaying his abilities. But then thought if it was anyone else, he might not. But this was Rogan.

He at once created a prison around Rogan while he was sitting on a chair.

He saw the eyebrows on Rogan go up. He could see Rogan exerting strength and trying to speak. But he couldn't.

Aaron let go off the spell.

" That. That was brilliant. I couldnt even open my mouth. My will didn't have any effect on it either. That spell is a nightmare to anyone. "

" Yes. I wanted a subject specially for that. Whether or not could it hold a person."

" Well, it works. Another example of mysteries of magic." Said Rogan with a sigh.

" Actually, could you cast that spell on me again. I want to test something. "

Aaron soon had Rogan once again bound in his spell.

He could see Rogan concentrating a little and soon a fireball was floating in front of Aaron. It soon morphed into two words. 'Let Go'

Heeding Rogan, he let go of the spell.

"As I thought, it could restrict the physical movement, it doesn't restrict magic. The prison still follows the law of nature. Perhaps that's why it was able to trap even a person with a will. "

Aaron was impressed with Rogan. How quickly he was able to analyze his prison.

" I actually wanted to test it on a mage. So thank you for being my subject. " Aaron said with a grin.

" I should be paid for that. I will have today's lunch on you. " Rogan said with a grin of his own.

" But you have to remember this. Dont rely on it too much. Yes, it would help you. But it's not invincible if a mage is able to cast his spell."

" And I am sure this spell requires a lot of concentration. Using it in a battle scenario would be risky. " Rogan pointed out where the spell lacked. It wasn't to belittle him, it was as a warning not to over depend on it.

" Yes. I know where the spell lacks. But I have been in circumstances where this would have helped me out a lot. " Aaron replied to Rogan's concern.

" It's good that you know the limits of the spell. Now, let's go for lunch!"
