113 Chapter 113

For all that Amelia tried, he had unwillingly left a hint for Aaron.

Or perhaps it could be said that Aaron had got an inspiration from what she said.

Hard stuff could be cut, soft things didn't. Well, it wasn't true always, but Aaron wasn't concentrating on the validity of the statement.

His atomic edge had improved a lot over time. It was much better than the one he had used during his mage testing.

Others may just think of it as am extremely sharp blade or something. But he knew for what it was. It was a blade with an edge of an atom. It meant the smallest particle in nature.

He knew it wasn't the smallest particle since even an atom was made up of different things, but he definitely didn't want to go there for a while.

What he had in hand was an atomic blade cutting up space. That's what it was.

It was like a blade cutting air. You could swing a blade in the air and feel nothing. If you keep compressing air, you will get a liquid. If you try to cut this liquid, you will feel a little resistance on your blade, nothing else.

But if you further compress it and cool it, you will get a solid block. Now, this block, you could cut with a blade.

Aaron thought the same thing was happening with space. He could perhaps leave a small tear because of how hard space was at the moment.

He didnt know if he was on the right path, but it did make sense to him. Another thing he was wondering was how the gates he used to travel were tearing the space as well.

He kept focusing on the trajectory of the dagger. How it moved. He experimented on different trajectory to see if mattered.

He thought about how he willed a tear into the space itself to open a gate.

The motion of the dagger, the gate, traversing through space. Aaron was trying to fuse all these ideas in his mind.

Aaron was convinced he was on the right path. He knew, sometimes conviction was required with knowledge. Even if he wasn't cent percent sure, he had to believe he was right. It would result in a failure if he thought he was wrong, even if he was right. Your will and focus would be weaker that way.

Aaron had been working on it days. He knew he was close. Just needed to take another step to succeed.

It has been two months now since Amelia was here last. He was happy no one too important had approached him for a while.

Only worrying news Aaron got was about the robbery incident in the city.

The anti mage association it seemed finally made a big move. They had robbed the homes of prominet mages of the mage association in the city. Even Aaron had been warned to keep vigilance since it was a known fact he had stuck rich recently.

Aaron thought it wasn't all about money though. It seemed more like a statement. Well, money also after he though for a while.

The mage association and the mage families were on par if the stength was concerened, but the mage association was always the one which actually run the world. They were the ones who forged the laws for all the mages in this world. Any big decision regarding mages were taken by them. They were also responsible for the general security and order.

That was the reason why they stuck the mage Association first. But it wasn't where they stopped. They were also successful in robbing some smaller branches of the mage cities in some of the smaller cities.

News have been flooding in and people were out for blood now.

Security measures were being taken to stop all that was happening.

When Aaron talked to Hound that they, he thought that the anti mage association sounded a little ambitious, but he never thought they would make a move so soon.

It had come as a relief for Aaron though. With everyone so busy dealing with the crisis at hand, the focus on him wavered and he was allowed to stay as he was.

After taking a little break, he got back to his spell.

He understood what they said when everyone told him that mages spent most of the time researching the spells. It was a job which required patience, focus and good will power. You needed to work for it.

After working for a total of three months, Aaron was sure he had some sort of results finally.
