103 Chapter 103

The fair was a success for Aaron on many levels. His artifact was chosen amongst the hundreds presented at the fair.

He was able to build a new relationship with Rogan. And he managed to find an almost perpetual machine. Scientists from earth would drool over such a thing.

It was an eyeopener as well. Although Aaron had something he was striving for, he was laid back in his approach so far. He was casually doing things as he liked without bothering or knowing the consequences.

He had to face the harsh reality though. Nothing was easy in life. Specially if you had no one to back you up.

Where was Aaron to get backing from? He was from the other side. His family, teachers, mentors everyone was on the other side. And even if they were here, they wouldnt be counted as influencial.

He had thought maybe a breakthrough in artifact making would lead him somewhere, but he didn't know it might lead him to premature death.

Aaron had thought about it a lot. One option was that he joined one of the factions. But it was sure he wouldn't be treated as equal. He didn't have the power to gain a good deal from them. Plus if he disclosed what he was capable of, there was no going back. No one would let him escape their grasp. And if he didn't showcase his ability, no one would give him the time to talk. He had already surrendered his rights to his sole enchantment to the association. His value wasn't that much that people would fight over for him now.

He didn't completely trust Rogan though. He had talked to Azo and paid some stones to some clerks at the association to get some news on things. He went through the archives about dissappearences of mages and found that all of it was true.

Things were indeed as he was told.

The best possible thing Aaron could perhaps do now was to lay low.

And it was a fact that he really didn't need the lime light at the moment. He would surely get enough money for his artifact. The association never openly cheated people like that. No one would join them otherwise.

With funds and a new artifact in hand, he could immerse himself in research and study. He could also work upon improving his own strength. He had hopes that Rogan would soon bring him good news regarding that.

A couple of days passed away fast. Aaron was finally called to the mage Association to discuss his terms.

It was Azo who was to talk to Aaron. Seeing a familiar face was indeed better than a new one.

"So, you had indeed caused a little ripples in the higher circle of mages. Thankfully though, your decision was correct. No faction is larger than the association itself. "

" As for the price, say that I didn't have to argue much for it. For all the association lacks, it still tries to promote talents as much as it can. Don't be harsh with your judgement towards it. There are every kind of people here. "

"So, your offer is 100000 mage stones. And you will get 10% from the sales of each product sold. If you make some yourself, you will get 30% from the sales. The materials of course would be provided by the association. The price is final and non negotiable. "

" Is it a good enough offer?" Aaron asked. He didn't knew whether the offer was good or not. He knew it was a big sum, but was it the best offer? He had no clue.

"Why do you ask me? I am here as a representative of the association. I could lie and tell you it's the best offer. And I have already told you, it's not negotiable. "

"I know you mean me no harm. Infact you could perhaps be counted as a well wisher. Else you wouldn't have said Al that the other day. What ever your reasons may have been, you were honest about things. And I know I have to accept whatever offer you guys come up with. I don't have other options. "

" But I want to know for my satisfaction, is it the best offer? "

Azo looked at the young man in front of him. He could see the pride in him. He knew it was something which would satisfy his ego. But people needed that. Such things provided confidence.

"Yes. It was the best. No many can get such good offers. Milano got a deal of only 30000 mage stones. Although his other conditions were the same as you. "

" But its still a difference of 70000 thousand mage stones. Its a big amount. And your products would definitely be priced much higher. "

" Thank you. I accept the offer. " Said Aaron with a smile. Even small wins brought happiness to people.

And most importantly he wasnt poor anymore!!

The day for Aaron got even better when he reached his inn.

There was a note from Rogan. He had success in finding test subjects for Aaron.
