102 Chapter 102

Aaron had tried to make an enchantment which would make his daggers or swords move on it's own. He discovered that it was it was possible to do that, but he could never control it. A knife would keep moving in a fixed direction infinitely. He would have to control the direction personally. What's the need of such a spell in the first spell then?

He never considered spinning an object on its own axis. It was quite simple actually.

By doing this, what Aaron had in hand was a motor. A genuine motor with no issues about a power source.

Modern civilization at the end was built around a motor or similar things.

Electircity was made from spinning turbines with wind, water or steam. Vehicles had motors. Generators, fans, boats, conveyer belts. The possibilities of using such a thing was endless.

What Aaron held in hand was a source which could change the future of this world.

Earth still mostly depended upon petroleum to run the engines which in turn supported a motor. Using petroleum had it's own issues. Pollution, wear and tear due to the heat produced etc. But using a mage stone was efficient and no environmental issues.

Aaron was so elevated that he couldn't even think about where he could start.

"What has you so occupied? It's just a piece of ordinary toy. " Rogan brought Aaron out of his stupor.

"No. It is definitely not a toy. I think I could make something out of it which might rival my atomic edge. " Aaron said with a glint in his eyes.

Rogan looked at Aaron for a while.

" Are you serious? " Rogan asked in a serious voice.

" Absolutely " replied Aaron. He wondered what got into Rogan all of a sudden. Shouldn't him making new things be good? He could always offer partnership to Rogan if he wanted it. But he flat out refused it. What was the issue now then?

"Don't do it. Even if you could. If you want your life that is. "

"Perhaps Azo told you a little about how the association works, there are lots of factions and power into play. I helped you out as much as I could. Part of it was because of Milano, part because I really wanted someone to succeed in making good weapons. But I or even Azo could only help you so far. "

" If you are going to make too many things, you would either end up dead or in someone's dungeon making things for them for a lifetime. "

" You wouldnt be the first young prodigy to dissappear. You think it's easy to bask in the lime light? It's not. You would just attract attention you don't want. "

" You might think running to a family would help you. Try if you want. They are even worse. "

" Sure you would be welcomed with open arms and given a good contract. But do you have the power to make sure they obey the contract? It's not a free world. Everything has a price. Unless you have the backing of a direct descendant of the main family, you would vanish from sight within a fortnight. A accident would occur where you would be declared dead. Anti mage association would be the reason of course. "

" If you would heed my words. Stay as low as you can for now. Let this commotion you have caused with your invention pass by. Get some backing, connect to people. You would have enough money to spend. Spend where necessary and buy people you could. Be strong enough where you could openly display your artifacts without worry. "

" From what you are saying, this is new thing is going to be big, whereas I am too small. I can't pay that price even if If I am willing too. Rest is your decision to make."

Aaron was turned speechless hearing Rogan. He knew the situation wasn't ideal. But he didn't knew it was so bad.

Staging accidents, people vanishing ? They were mages for God's sake. Not ordinary commoners. How really different it was from the other side.

The mage association was a systematic organization which would never do such a thing. Perhaps the war had them too distracted to play politics.

Here they didn't have the overlooming fight for survival, instead they were now fighting amongst themselves.

Aaron was seriously saddened by this. He had come to this side with a lot of hope. But he didn't find the place to be what he expected to be. Yes, it was more prosperous. Luxury which was rare on the other side was common here. Lots of new and powerful artifacts.

But people, people were different. They were more ruthless to each other.

"I understand. " Aaron said with a sigh. If what Rogan said was true, he would indeed have to lay low for now. But he would surely make his own enquiries about this things.

"It's good that you do. What you have spoken to me, dont speak to others. "

"But there is another thing. Although you shouldnt advertise your products, it doesn't mean you couldnt continue your work. Study, research and make what you can. Once you are done, test and improve. Why stop with those things. Whats more important to you? Acknowledgement and fame or coming up with something you have always dreamt of making?

"You would already have enough fame with your current achievements. You would be known in a much larger circle than most people. Be happy with that. "

Aaron knew what Rogan meant. But being restricted against your will, that would never be comfortable. He would need to get stronger if he didn't want that.

He had slacked with his own growth. If he lacked strength, he would always face this problem over and over again.

He made a decision that day to always find time to improve his own ability.

"I want to ask you something. " Said Aaron.

" Ask. "

" I was trying a spell before. No, it's not an artifact. It's a personal spell related to my class. So you don't have to worry. "

"I think I might have achieved something, but I need to confirm some results. For that I need to test it upon someone. A real person to be exact. I tried posting a mission at the mage association, but didn't get satisfactory results. Do you have any suggestions. "

" It must be a little dangerous else people would have flocked to such an easy mission."

" Actually I have something in mind. I will talk with them and let you know. "

" Now, stop making such long faces and treat me to that meal you promised. You are a fat goose, I am not going to let you get away cheaply. " Said Rogan with a grin.

" I never planned to do. Never. " Said Aaron with a grin of his own.

P.S- Authors note only allows 500 words. But I don't think I have written that much. But please do read it. Maybe I won't be able to post a chapter tomorrow. So here is another for today.
