'Self Assimilation, or Assisted Assimilation?'

Assisted was obviously the game engine helping a player along the way to become their chosen class, or whatever they were doing. Doing it by ones self, however, provided better benefits but at the cost of immense pain.

"Toria, I may cry out from this item, but please don't fret. My vows to you shall be upheld in every respect. Self Assimilation."

In an instant, a golden light burst from Wraith's eyes. He suppressed every ounce of pain he felt, channeling it into his will to make himself even stronger.

'Self Assimilation process started.

Chances of better class found.

Divine Rank- Enlightened by All- .5%

Legend Rank- Enlightened- 3%

Failure- 96.5%

Better chances based on Luck.'

Wraith smiled to himself as he channelled the golden light throughout his body. It took mere seconds before her finally sighed with relief.

'Oh... well I'm gonna be a shit ton of pain when I log out.'

"Wraith?"

Toria had her hands against his cheeks, squishing them slightly.

"You're really cute when you get worried."

Toria didn't even blush, causing Wraith to blink a few times.

"Toria?"

"Y-your eyes. They're so bright... and pretty."

Wraith could feel Toria getting closer to him.

"Toria. Blink."

She did as he said, blinking a few times.

"Wait... what happened? Why am I..."

Her face blushed greatly now. She was barely an inch from kissing Wraith.

"Although I proposed, and you accepted, you got a bit carried away. What's wrong with my eyes that entranced you so much?"

"Th-they changed. I'm sorry..."

She attempted to stand, but Wraith held her down.

"Hey... I never finished the proposal."

Before Toria could try to stand a again, Wraith pulled her back to him, locking her lips with his. Beneath them, a glowing circle appeared with many marking etched within its borders.

Toria finally pulled back, staring at the circle. She let out a gasp as she looked closer.

"What's wrong?"

"You idiot! How could you sit here and choose someone like me to be your bride!? How the hell am I even qualified for such an honor?"

She tried to look angry, but her smile and excited movements gave away her happiness.

"Explain. I know your customs of proposal, but this circle is something I don't know about."

Toria looked around more, pushing Luna a bit to look at the spot under her as well. Luna huffed, but bumped her nose against Toria before moving to Wraith's other side.

"Wraith... You've got the makings to become even more powerful than an emperor! You can truly... keep your vows."

Her face became scarlet once more as she knelt before Wraith.

"I'm... I'm gonna marry... hehehe."

She began to giggle as she hugged Wraith.

"I'm you let me down now, I'll hit you so hard you'll forget your name!"

She was smiling widely as she backed away.

"So you accept everything?"

"Of course! I don't care how many women you have, so long as you treat us all fairly and provide what you promise."

Wraith cupped her face as he gazed into her eyes.

'I've got you back. I won't lose you this time.'

"You'll need to return to your kingdom for now. I have some things I need to take care of, but I'll come back for you when I can. Also, in Nender there is an alchemist I made a promise to. Minerva. Protect her as much as you can. Also, in the Forest of Elves, Cresta. She's an adventurer from my world. If she finds you, protect her as well."

'They're not gonna be able to take care of themselves very easily at first. Having Toria on my side can save them from countless hours of torture.'

'Lv. 70 Princess Toria of Nender

-Spouse to be'

She nodded happily, smiling as she hugged Wraith again.

"Master!"

Suddenly Luna jumped between them, pushing them apart.

"Tch. Almost got this random bastard. Princess! It's time for you to return home. You left us far behind, but we knew where you were going. Looks like you threw away one adventurer for another."

Where they had been sitting, multiple arrows were lodged into the ground.

'Lv. 53 Royal Guard, Terron'

His name was in red, not white.

"Toria, he's killed illegally."

Wraith stood in front of Toria, his marks gleaming under the moonlight.

"You stand before the Royal Guard of Nender, boy. Your death is something I can justify, as you have sullied her highness with your presence."

"Sullied? Toria, come here."

She obeyed, her eyes glaring blades at Terron. She turned to Wraith, her eyes softening as he kissed her.

"The... the fuck are you doing to the princess!? Men advance!"

The lakeside now had roughly fifteen new invaders. Each roughly between forty and fifty, Terron the top of the pack.

"Pfft... hahaha. This is too good. You're Royal Guards, but you're all red! Every last one! Toria, may I kill them?"

His eyes blazed with golden light now, the previous grey gone completely. Toria was weak in the knees as she looked into them.

"Those arrows almost hit me. Highest form of treason, just below attacking the Crown Princess or my mother, the Queen of Nender. Kill them, my husband to be. They dare strike out at your woman? Don't ask me for permission next time."
