8 Powerful Women

While the adults were talking privately in the next room, Roman was bombarding Shanks and Buggy with questions regarding their adventures.

"Who's stronger Whitebeard or Shiki?"

"Individually, Whitebeard but Shiki has a much bigger crew."

"Have you ever had to face the legendary buster call?"

"Sort of, but instead of just having 5 vice admirals and ten warships sent to capture us, we faced the Fleet Admiral, 2 Admirals, 5 vice admirals and 20 warships."

"Woah, was vice admiral Garp one of those 5 vice admirals."

"Haha of course he was, wherever Captain Roger goes, Garp isn't normally too far behind!"

Although Roman was listening and he'd also ask the odd question here and there he was more curious about what the adults were saying.

[They've been in there for a while now, I wonder what's going on in there.]

"Roger, what are your plans for the future? Your big brother has been dying for you to return here even if he does struggle to show it. And I would love nothing more than to spend more time with my little sister. The island isn't the same without you guys here, this island is your home as well after all."

Roger looked at Rouge as he smiled gently.

"I only wish to spend the rest of my days at home in peace and do right by the woman I love."

Seeing his smile and hearing his words, put a blush on Rouge's face.

"Haha that's what every big brother wants to hear! What about you Rayleigh, even if you weren't born here, we'd love for you to stay here too."

Rayleigh was a little surprised by his words as he understood just how sacred this little island was. Despite his surprise he shook his head as he replied.

"I can't stay, I have someone waiting for me on the outside, plus I have to take those two brats back, they still have their lives to live."

Marcus nodded in understanding.

"Well even if you can't stay for good, surely you guys can stay for dinner and let us thank you for taking care of little Roger."

"Haha how can I say no to that."

As they were speaking the front door opened and two women walked through smiling happily talking.

The woman in front was a beautiful woman with clear ebony skin, long black hair that seemed to dance in the wind and brown eyes that sparkled under the light of the sun. She was dressed in a pale yellow summer gown that reached down to her shins and a pair of straw sandals.

The woman behind had rosy white skin, long golden hair that was tied in plaits and emerald green eyes that would make any man stop and look twice. She was dressed in a blue skirt that reached her knees and a plain white t-shirt that was tied in a knot by her belly button.

As they walked in the door the woman in front spoke just loud enough that she could be heard through out the house.

"Boys we're back."

As she said that two shadows darted towards the women at break neck speeds.

"Mom!"

Both shadows said in unison as they dove into the arms of the women.

That's right, the woman in front were the mothers of Roman and Orion.

"Haha this is a warm welcome considering we've only been gone a couple of hours. Ori what did you do this time?"

The first shadow stepped back as he shook his head innocently.

"I didn't do anything I promise. I was just happy to see you!"

Orion's mother Mira looked at her son with nothing but love in her eyes as she stroked his loose hair from his face.

"I'm happy to see you too!"

As she said that two figures suddenly emerged from one of the rooms. When the two women saw who it was, Roman's mom said in surprise.

"Shanks, Buggy? What are you, wait where's that damn Captain of yours."

At first, both Buggy and shanks were slightly surprised that she knew their names but then they put two and two together.

[She must be the wife of the captain's brother. Being the captain's sister in law, it's not surprising she knows our names.]

Thinking to there Shanks smiled as he replied.

"Captain Roger is with uncle Marcus and uncle Walter."

Just as he finished a few figures emerged from one of the other rooms behind where shanks was stood.

Before shanks could even react, Walter's wife darted forward like a bullet appearing directly in front of the first figure that appeared.

Shanks was left gobsmacked by her speed.

[So fast… I didn't even have time to react!]

Not noticing the shock on Shanks' face, she grabbed the ear of the figure that emerged.

"Little Roger, you go and become king of the pirates and didn't even tell us. We had to hear about it from the papers. Did you forget about your little sister-in-law after becoming a superstar?"

"Oww, Gaia! It hurts, I was wrong!"

"Pfft"

As Gaia heard another snicker she looked up at the perpetrator with an evil smile plastered to her face.

"Ooh, well if it isn't little Rayleigh. Do you not remember what you promised me last time I saw you?!"

"…"

"You don't? Well let me refresh your memory, Mr Dark King… You promised me that you'd force this little bastard to send a message home more often especially after a major incident."

"…"

"Becoming the king of the pirates is major incident, don't you agree?!"

"…"

"So, Mr Dark King… What do you think your punishment should be?!"

"…"

"Ooh you think it should be the same as usual as well. I'm glad we agree!"

"Gaia… Gaia, I'm sorry! It was my mist…"

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt an arm slip round his neck as he was put in a headlock.

"Cough… Gaia cough cough… I give up!"

"Haha Mom's still the strongest!"

Seeing Gaia hold the King of the Pirates by his ear and put his right hand man in a headlock greatly excited Roman.

Whilst Roman was excited, Buggy and Shanks were startled beyond measure by this scene.

"How…"

Seeing Shanks' shock Orion couldn't help but laugh as he said.

"It's not just Uncle Roger and Rayleigh. Aunt Gaia even beats up uncle Walter and my old man when they say or do the wrong thing."

"Old man? Who's an old man, you cheeky brat!"

Hearing his words, Marcus glared at Ori. Even Walter was glaring at him for being the reason he lost face.

"Ehem."

Seeing them glaring at her son, Mira merely cleared her throat gently. Even though it wasn't loud, it was enough to deter both men who could only look at the ceiling and whistle.

"Haha but aunty Mira doesn't even need to beat them up. For aunty Mira, most of the time all it takes is a look and dad and uncle Walter have to behave themselves."

Hearing his words Walter and Marcus could only sigh helplessly as their boys took whatever face they had left.

"These brats. Sigh!"

"Sister-in-law, could you forgive them just this once, I promise to keep them in line from now on!"

Hearing that Gaia looked up excitedly. As she confirmed who was speaking she let go of the two men jumping forward to hug them.

"Little Rouge, it's been too long. Me and Mira have missed you. Since it's you asking, I'll forgive them this time!"

"Hehe, thanks and I've missed you both too."

As she said that she felt her hair being ruffled. As she turned to see who it was, she was greeted by Mira's smiling face.

"Welcome home."

She nodded returning the smile.

"I'm glad to be home!"

Seeing his family back together, Marcus' smile grew wider than ever.

"Haha now that everyone's here we can start getting ready to eat dinner. Rayleigh, Buggy and Shanks are only staying for dinner so let's make it count!"
