39 New Bounties
Two days after the battle in North Blue, on a large island called Marineford which sat in the Grand Line, a meeting had been called with all Vice-Admirals up being included.
They were sat round an extremely long table long really long. The man at the head of the table was extremely muscular with tan skin and white hair that clearly showed his age. His hair and beard were both spiky.
He was dressed in a maroon sleeveless shirt adorned with medals, dark green armbands around his giant forearms, a light yellow scarf round his neck and a white and dark grey Marine Jacket hung round his shoulders.
The man was the highest ranking person in the Navy; Fleet Admiral Kong.
Sat directly beside him on his left was a large middle aged man who looked to be in his 50's. He had purple hair and dark coloured eyes. He was dressed in a purple suit and a pink shirt with a pink tie round his neck. And like everyone else present he had a marine jacket draped over his shoulders. He was one of the 2 remaining Admiral's; Black Arm Zephyr.
On the right of the Fleet Admiral sat another middle aged caucasian man with a black afro and small dark eyes that sat behind a pair of black rimmed round spectacles. He was dressed in a Black suit with a white shirt and blue tie with a Marine jacket hung over his shoulders. He was the other of the 2 remaining Admiral's; Sengoku the Buddha!
The mood in the room was sombre to say the least. Kong cleared his throat gaining the attention of everyone present.
"Sengoku where is Garp?"
"He had already requested extended leave before the incident happened. He won't be back for a couple of months yet."
"Fine, we'll start without him. I'm sure everyone has at least heard rumours of what happened at Notice Island in North Blue. Here are the reports for what really happened. Take one and pass it along."
As the Vice-Admirals were reading their expressions were all pretty similar as the shock increased bit by bit eventually turning to one of rage when they read that an Admiral was brutally murdered!
After he was confident that everyone had finished reading the reports Kong spoke once more.
"What are your thoughts?"
A light skinned black man wearing a blue bandanna with the marine logo round his head, a pair of dark round glasses covering his eyes, a plain blue t-shirt and a long indigo marine was the first to recover from his shock and speak out.
"A 10 year old wind logia, haki wielding kid at the Swordsman boundary… Where did this kid come from?!"
"Where he came from is irrelevant Kuzan. He killed a World Noble and a Marine Commodore and helped criminals escape justice. Such a man can't be allowed to live! Borsalino, you should've been more decisive in your actions and killed both him and his brother as soon as you had the chance! If you had, Sun Wu may still be alive."
The face of the man who spoke couldn't be seen as he had his hood up and a baseball cap with the word "Marine" on the front covering it.
Borsalino glanced at the hooded with indifference but hidden behind those hidden eyes was a trace of killing intent. Sengoku looked at the hooded man as he said with a frown.
"Sakazuki that's enough, with the reported strength of Mihawk, even if Borsalino attacked any earlier he still would've been stopped and after that woman arrived forget Borsalino even if 10 more vice-admiral's including you had been there, the results would've been the same… You would've been nothing but an appetizer."
As he said that he paused as he looked down at the report with a slight frown.
"But it's hard to believe that after over a decade of keeping their heads down one of "Them" has finally made their move.
Was it a one off or are they really about to stage a comeback?!"
Kong looked away from the reports with a sigh as he said.
"Regardless of if it was a one off or they're making a comeback, we can't let any of the criminals from Notice Island get away with escaping justice, killing marines and a world noble! Especially as one of those marines was an admiral who lay down his life to protect his subordinates!"
Kong looked at the high rankers of the navy sat before him as he said slowly.
"The higher-ups have given me the new bounties of everyone involved:
1. Boa Marigold & Boa Sandersonia – For escaping Mary Geoise and their involvement in the incident have been given a bounty of £80,000,000.
2. Boa Hancock – For escaping Mary Geoise, her involvement in the incident and her future potential threat has been given a bounty of £100,000,000.
3. Monkey D. Shaya – For escaping Mary Geoise, her involvement in the incident, her current strength and her future potential threat has been given a bounty of £200,000,000.
4. The boy referred to as Roman – Not much is known about his abilities but according to the intelligence gathered by Vice-Admiral Borsalino's investigations and speaking to locals who had hidden in the vicinity and seen the fight between him and Vergo he should've been similar in strength to Commodore Vergo, maybe slightly stronger. As a result he has been given a bounty of £178,000,000.
5. The boy referred to as Orion – For killing an elite Marine Commodore and a World Noble, His current strength despite his young age and his potential threat level in the future, he has been given a bounty of £500,000,000. The highest first bounty issued to any rookie, including that of Gol D. Roger.
6. Joyous Warlord – For her getting in the way of justice, her heinous past crimes, her being the number 3 of one of the most powerful pirate crews in history and her current incredible strength, her bounty has capped out at £10 Billion!"
7. Dracule Mihawk – For his getting in the way of justice, his ties to the infamous Joyous Pirates, his current strength and his potential threat level for the future, he has been given a bounty of "Priceless" Rewards being; Conferred Royalty and ruler of the kingdom of choice and a reward of their choice paid for by the world Government. To be captured alive only!"
As he said that everyone looked up at him in shock. Sengoku recovered first as he said.
"Even though his strength is without doubt, his talent is unquestionable, and he has a definite but unknown tie to the joyous pirates, a bounty like that and to be captured alive? What are they thinking about over at Mary Geoise?!
The only 4 to have been given that Bounty were:
1. The King of the Pirates – Gol D. Roger.
2. The Vice-Captain of the Joyous Pirates – Joyous Spear.
3. The Captain of the Joyous Pirates, the man who was regarded as the strongest man in the world when he was sailing the seas – The Joyous Sword King.
4. The founder of the revolutionaries.
How can that brat Mihawk even begin to compare to the likes of them, when even Rayleigh, Whitebeard and now Joyous War Lord have only capped out!"
Kong shook his head with a helpless expression.
"As much as I agree with you, it came from above. They've already made their decision, they said I don't have the clearance to know the truth about that man!"
When they heard that, everyone present understood there was more to the story but there was nothing they could do about it.
Seeing their reluctant acceptance, Kong sighed as he understood how they were feeling. They're the ones who had to risk their lives constantly but were always kept in the dark regarding the most important factors.
"Last but not least… It pains me to say this but seeing as Admiral Sun Wu has tragically died heroically in battle, a position has opened at the rank of Admiral."
