84 I Am The 5th Heavenly Demon

3 days later the Heavenly Demon Pirates were all training individually. Everyone but Ori who was laying on his back with twin black katana's lying across his lap with his eyes closed. He then opened his eyes and turned his head to the side after sensing someone coming from under water. Using the wind he sent the sound of his voice to each of his crew mates as he said.

"They're here."

When they heard that each of the Heavenly Demon's made their way to the front of the island where a giant Sea King surfaced. Each of the Heavenly Demon's had seen large Sea Kings before, but never one like this, it's head alone was the same size as the island.

The crew noticed that stood on the head were 10 figures. At the front stood an attractive woman who seemed to be in her early 30's. She had golden hair partially held up in 2 loops, and blue eyes. She was wearing a very long white kimono with a cream-colored carp-scale design along the hem and a sash around her shoulders that floated behind her head. If Ori didn't know that she was a mermaid he definitely would've assumed she was human.

Stood just to her right of her was a large blue whale shark fishman. He had long cloud like yellow eyebrows and sideburns similar to that of an oni in legends, a bulb like nose and an angular lower lip pointing upwards. He also had 2 tusk like lower fangs that pointed upwards that couldn't be hidden even with his mouth closed. He had long hair that reached his shoulders that started off black and turned gold half way down.

Stood just behind them was a group of fierce looking fishmen dressed in some sort of military uniform.

When he saw the man to the right of the queen Ori let out a little smile as he thought to himself.

[So Jinbei really came!]

As Ori and the others were checking the new arrivals out, Queen Otohime, Jinbei and the others were doing the same to them. Jinbei looked at the group of 5 on the island as one word instantly came to mind.

[Strong!

So this is the team that Maya brought to protect the Queen? But where is Maya, surely she should be here too…]

As Jinbei was scanning the island for someone else, Queen Otohime scrunched her eyebrows as she looked at the group with her eyes stopping on Silk where she let out a radiant smile.

"Little Silk, what are you doing here?"

When they heard that, all the Heavenly Demons were shocked speechless by the Queen being able to see through their disguises. They knew that the only way to see through their disguises was to have peak level observation haki.

Flustered by being recognising Silk didn't know what to say or do next.

"Qu… Queen… I…"

Seeing Silk struggling for words, Ori stepped forward and said.

"Your majesty, don't blame Silk for trying to deceive you, it was my idea. We couldn't afford to protect you using our normal identities as they're quite sensitive."

Queen Otohime looked at Ori with a smile as she replied.

"Mr. Heavenly Demon I don't blame Silk. But I am confused as to why it's you protecting me and not his mother."

This time it was Silk who responded. He clenched his fists as he said.

"My mother was arrested about 6 months ago!"

This time it was Queen Otohime's turn to be shocked, not just her but Jinbei too was in shock as he knew just how powerful she was. He hadn't said a word since arriving but after hearing that Silk's mother had been captured he couldn't keep quiet any longer.

"Maya was arrested? How's that even possible, the amount of people strong enough to defeat her are extremely few in number and even then they wouldn't be able to keep her from leaving."

Silk's eyes turned bloodshot as he replied.

"We were ambushed by Kizaru and a few Vice-Admiral's. If she was alone there would be no chance they would be able to keep her from leaving, but Mom fought tooth and nail to allow me to escape. When I was a safe distance away, I saw her being cuffed and dragged onto their ship!"

As he went on his voice turned hoarse and tears filled his eyes. It was clear that pain from that day was still raw.

Jinbei walked over and put his hands on his shoulders to comfort this nephew of his.

"First you lose your father and now your mother, both to the hands of the marines and all within the span of a couple of years… Your pain must be unbearable! Once this is over, you should come back to fishman island with me."

Hearing that, Silk quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and looked back at Ori and the others before turning back to Jinbei and said.

"Uncle I've already decided to join the Heavenly Demon Pirates!"

Although Jinbei figured that Silk was likely to have joined them, he was still surprised when the words actually came out of Silk's mouth. He could also see from Silk's expression that he wasn't forced and that he was sure of his decision.

A large white skinned shark fishman with black and white hair stood just behind Jinbei who clearly cared quite a bit about Silk hurriedly said.

"Silk you shouldn't join them! Big Mom has just declared that she will be taking the heads of the Heavenly Demon Pirates, if you join them you'll be pitting yourself against a Yonko!"

When they heard that shock flashed on the faces of all the demon's before it turned into helplessness. Ori let out a sigh as he said.

"That was fast!"

Shaya shook her head as she said.

"It's been almost 4 weeks since the incident on Parch Island, if she couldn't figure out it was us who did it then there would be something wrong!"

Roman shrugged indifferently as he said.

"It doesn't matter now, all we can do is bring our A game for when we run into them in the future!"

Sabo clenched his fist as he said excitedly.

"Clashing with a Yonko… I can't wait!"

Ori turned to Sabo and knocked him on the head as he said.

"With your current strength you wouldn't even serve to be an appetiser!"

Seeing their nonchalant attitude regarding being targeted by one of the strongest Pirates in the world deeply shocked each of the fishman entourage, Jinbei included. The man from before spoke again as he said.

"Silk, they're a bunch of maniacs with a death wish, you shouldn't follow a crew like that!"

Silk looked to the man who spoke with a smile as he spoke with conviction.

"Thank you Shayle but I've already made my mind up and I'm the reason they offended Big Mom in the first place, if I left now I'd never be able to live with myself!"

Shock could be seen on the faces of Queen Otohime and the others as she asked.

"What do you mean you're the reason they offended her?"

Silk sighed as he retold the story of what happened on Parch Island from wanting to challenge the Colosseum to earn enough money to hire an S rank team from the Federation, to being targeted by Big Mom for being a unique breed, to the Heavenly Demon's rescuing him knowing that they'll be put in Big Mom's cross hairs.

When he heard that, Jinbei was shocked but above that he were pissed. Since Whitebeard claimed fishman territory as his own, no one dared to cause trouble for them but now Big Mom was targeting one of his own and to make it worse it was the son of his sworn brother.

"Well done Linlin!"

Even though all he said was 3 words, everyone present could feel the anger behind each word.

After getting over his shock, Shayle of the right looked to Silk and said.

"Silk even though they saved your life, you don't need to give your life to them. Can't you see their just guilting you into joining them, their no better than Big Mom. Come back to Fishman Island and let us protect you. Even if you gave Big Mom 10 times the courage she wouldn't dare to go after you there!"

"ENOUGH!"

Silk glared at Shayle in anger. Even though he could see that his words came from a place of care, saying that Ori and the others were just as bad as Big Mom was touching his bottom line.

Despite only being together for a little under a month, Silk had grown to care for and respect each of the Heavenly Demon's. After the loss of his parents, he felt completely alone in the world and it wasn't till he met them that he felt like he still had a place in the world. Silk felt like Ori and the others were becoming more and more like family with every passing day. When Shayle insulted Ori, it was as if he was insulting him.

"I've already told you, I've made my mind up on the matter. I am now the 5th member of the Heavenly Demon Pirates!"

Hearing that, Ori and the others let out a little smile as they looked at their 5th member thinking how right they were inviting him.

Shayle wanted to interject again but was stopped by Queen Otohime.

"Silk, don't take offense by young Shayle's words. You 2 have been friends since you were children, you should know that they came from a place of love.

As long as you're happy, we respect your decision and the doors to Fishman Island will always be open, for both you and your crew."

Silk cupped his fist and bowed respectfully as he replied.

"Thank you your highness!"
