132 Bai's New Strength

"Hahaha good, good!"

Seeing Bai's glowing body, Tom's body shivered in excitement. When he saw his mentor's reaction Bai couldn't help but ask.

"Tom, how did you know this would work? I mean, using a heat based fruit to burn the fat…

If the family knew there was an alternative way to activate the Torch Bloodline they would definitely be gobsmacked, especially the members of the 3rd and 4th generation. They would immediately send men out to hunt down all heat based devil fruits they could get their hands on."

Tom smiled as he said.

"The man who discovered this technique was a good friend of mine. He was a 3rd generation member of the Torch Family, so like you the only way he could activate his bloodline was by using his life force.

Because of his weakened bloodline but unyielding attitude he was chased out of the Torch Kingdom. He didn't let that get him down though. For many years he experimented with his bloodline, until he came up with the crazy theory to use a heat based devil fruit to burn the fat instead. After getting his hands on the Combustion Fruit he was finally able to use the fat burning ability of the Torch Family without using his life force.

Unfortunately because of the amount of times he had burned his life force he didn't have much time left. He gave the results of his experiments to me and his only son. The Torch family naturally had no idea about his findings.

After his passing, he left his combustion fruit to his son, so his legacy would be carried on in the next generation. His son was seen able to burn his fat despite being a 4th generation member of the family and as a result he became the Torch Kingdom's number one target and was chased down with the aim to find out his secret.

It wasn't until the son joined the Red Hair Pirates did the Torch family finally back down."

When he heard that Ori's eyes widened.

"You mean, that son was…"

"Right. The son of my friend is the infamous Yonko Executive, Lucky Roo!"

As Tom said that, everyone present was shocked by his declaration. Although Benji had known that Lucky Roo was a descendant of the Torch Family and that there was some kind of altercation between them, he had no idea that this was the reason.

"The battle between the Red Hair Pirates and the Torch Family was the battle that solidified Shanks' position as the 4th Emperor of the sea."

Although surprised at first, Ori was more interested in Bai's new transformation. He could feel the power radiating from Bai in his transformed state.

"Bai how strong are you after transforming?"

After getting over his shock and hearing Ori's question, Bai looked down at himself feeling the raw power emanating from his body.

"I don't know exactly but it's like nothing I've ever felt before!"

Ori smiled somewhat excitedly as he asked.

"Do you want to found out just how strong you've become?"

As he said that, Bai instantly knew what Ori was hinting at. Ordinarily he would never agree to something like that, but feeling the raw power coursing through his body, he felt a confidence he'd never felt before.

"I'd love to!"

As he said that, he vanished from his position creating a sonic boom as he shot towards Ori. Everyone present was shocked by his speed.

Shaya who other than Tom and Ori was the only person present able to clearly see his movement looked at the speeding forger in awe.

"To be able to create a sonic boom when you move using nothing but raw power… The strength needed to move that fast. Other than Roman and Ori, no one else in the crew is able to accomplish that, not even me."

As the glowing man appeared in front of Ori punching towards Ori's chest, Ori was somewhat surprised by the power generated.

"If I hadn't just broken through, his raw strength would be equal to my own…"

As he said that Ori thrust his palm out to meet Bai's fist. As the 2 attacks met, the impact was enough to knock Franky and Iceburg off their feet and even send Sabo and Silk a few steps back.

Benji looked on in shock as he muttered.

"With strength like that, he's not much weaker than a Vice-Admiral!"

Just as he was getting over his shock, he saw Bai reach to the tiny toy hammer tied to his waist. As he grabbed it, Bai's calm voice could be heard by everyone.

"Grow!"

As he said that, the tiny hammer grew into a giant war hammer bigger than him. Ori's eyes widened in amazement!

"Hammer Grandmaster boundary? Even without the abilities of the Torch bloodline, Bai's strength is the real deal!"

Bai's body seemed to fuse with nature as he swung his hammer down aiming to crush Ori. Ori didn't draw his sword, he just circulated his Heavenly Demon Qi through his body, coated his arm in haki and punched out at the incoming hammer.

This time even Benji and Malia were knocked a few steps back by the impact.

When the dust finally cleared they saw that Ori and Bai were both sent a few meters back and Bai was no longer in his transformed state. He went back to his Obese body.

"Ahh I really thought I could force you to draw your sword with that last attack!"

Ori smiled as he replied.

"You have no reason to feel dejected, your strength is already no weaker than a lot of Vice-Admirals."

Even though Bai was upset he couldn't force Ori to draw his sword, he was still happy with his current strength. Ever since it was discovered he couldn't activate his bloodline ability, he was looked at as if he were trash. Now that he was finally able to, he felt like a new man.

Ori smiled as he changed the subject.

"So when can I see the ship?"

"Ooh right. Haha I completely forgot, follow me!"

As he said that, he lead Ori and the others to the back of the dock. When they arrived, they saw a giant ship like structure covered by a huge blanket.

"Is that it?!"

Bai laughed as he heard Ori's question.

"Haha this is it, this is your ship!"

As he said that he reached out and grabbed hold of the blanket.

"I give you, the Heavenly Demon's Pirate Ship!"

As he removed the cover, other than Shaya and the other shipwrights who'd already seen it everyone was shocked.

"This is it?"

"This is our new ship?"

"Isn't it a bit too…"

"Ordinary?!"

Silk, Sabo, Benji and Malia were all expecting a grand warship by the way Shaya spoke about it, but this was anything but.

It was a large golden brown ship with white sails. The only somewhat extraordinary feature was the large golden dragon head used as a figure head they knew was inspired by Roman.

Bai wasn't upset as he saw and heard the reactions from Sabo and the others. In fact he had expected it.
