1 Chapter one

My name is Kira Akin am sixteen years old, and today is my birthday. I wasn't expecting a birthday party or a birthday present because my parents have never celebrated my birthday. < br//>It was six 0 clock, I just woke up and was still sitting on my bed I decided to check the update online.
"Kira come out for morning prayer" I could hear the dip voice of my elder sister Tolu. One could think she was a boy when they hear her talk but she was a beautiful young Lady so beautiful that makes me think she is a goddess of beauty.
I ran quickly to the sitting room where we usually meet for the morning devotion, I sat beside my dad. My mom was leading the devotion as usual.
"Kira give us a chore"
" in the morning early in the mor...ning in the morning I will raise and praise the Lord" My beautiful voice was been heard, my dad loves it when I sing. He one's told me that I reminds him of Celine Dion.
Everyone repeated after me until the end of the song after which was the prolonged prayer by my mom, she was always shouting while praying which get me Upset most time but I can't react or else I will see the other side of her. I was so excited when my dad suddenly ended the prayer by saying." Amen, the grace"
and after which we all left for our various rooms
I took my bath and dressed up quickly for school, immediately it was past seven everyone was expected to be at the dinner.
We all sat down patiently waiting for Aunty Tobi who came out with a bottle of olive oil with her.
"Good morning Aunty we all greeted her"
" Good morning my children," she said in response to our greeting.
A few minutes later I was done eating I took my school bag and was about to leave for school.
"Keira! wait let me sanctify you" Not again Aunty Tobi is too spiritual for my liking.
"Kira, not Keira" I corrected her. She was fond of calling me Kiera instead of Kira.
"Aunty I don't need to be sanctified by you every morning before I leave for school, I am almost late"
