1 Prologue: Chilling in the void

He woke up in a pitch black room space, no walls in sight. In fact he could not even see any part of his body no matter how much he strained his eyes. As a sense of isolation set upon him, he started to think about his situation. Questions like 'Where am I?', 'Who am I?' and 'What happens now?' plagued his mind. No matter how deeply he thought, no knowledge regarding any of these questions surfaced. At this sudden realisation that he had no idea what was happening, an increasing amount of despair and anxiety filled his heart and mind.

"I'm seriously starting to panic now, is this one of those lucid nightmares you hear about?"

He asked aloud in hopes to have an answer to his questions. He became confused as to why he knew about such random knowledge but didn't have a single idea about who he was, the only saving grace was he knew his gender. If that means anything, at least it means that he was something, almost like a validation of his existance.

Whilst he was pondering such philosophical matters to ease his growing worry, he was unaware of the entity observing his futile efforts to rationalise.

After an indeterminable amount of time, the teen found something different in his surroundings. A pair of glowing yellow eyes stared at him with an intense pressure. The eyes did not leave his person, a silent pressure unlike any he'd every felt made his thoughts seize up.

"So you finally notice me"

The eyes spoke to the teen a very short sentence, yet it manage to inspire more fear than any weapon could. Judging by it's words, it mean't that it had been watching him in plain site for a long period of time.

"It seems you will listen now, first of all I must congratulate you on your insignificant death"

The entity spoke slowly without taking it's eyes off of him.

"I suppose you're lucky that you got picked for this experiment, you're able to live a second chance, maybe this time there will be more worth to it, but who knows"

The teen was shook by his words, 'A second chance'? This one phrase hinted towards his current situation so he decided to ask for more information.

"A second chance? By that you mean reincarnation?"

The entities eyes shifted for the first time since they spoke, he looked towards a far corner of the void which now housed a door.

"Indeed reincarnation is the process you will experience, due to that you have lost all memories concerning your previous identity however, you will be glad to know you get to keep a crucial piece of information"

The entity stated as it waited for the teen to process it words. The teen searched it memories but the only major information it could remember was intensive details about a franchise and universe called Pokemon. That couldn't be right though? Wasn't that just an entertainment franchise that he loved in his prior life, why would he remember nearly everything he knew about that?

"It seems you're confused as to why you would remember that. It's simple really. The world that you'll be reincarnating into is the World of Pokemon. I'm sure many in your previous planet would be cursing your luck right now"

The teen listened to his explanation and was amazed by his luck. But that led him to the question of why.

"Great figure, I must ask. Why am I being reincarnated with such favor?"

The entity closed his eyes to reply.

"It is a simple experiment for me, I picked you at random so there is not deeper meaning except you died at a convenient time with a slightly favorable personality as well. There is more, please head towards the door but do not enter."

Heeding the words of the entity, the teen immediately turned to the door and walked towards it.
