1 Jin Ming

Chapter 1: Jin Ming

The cold pitch black sky was what the young man was seeing on the window beside his bed. It was bleak just like what he is feeling as he was slowly being robbed with the future to become someone powerful and renowned. As days passed by, despair was eating him as the poison was corroding his bloodline slowly.

Bloodline is everything in this world to cultivate. Bloodline is what was being inherited from generations to generations. However, due to constant bloodline mix. Some can have a dual bloodline usually or at least triple bloodline if you are heavenly blessed. Some will have a mutation that will turn into something profound or mysterious, and this mutated bloodline will become a new generation that can be passed down to the next depending on how powerful it can become.

Bloodline power have seven hierarchy which were divided according the glow of the blood when tested: orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet and black. Orange is the weakest, and black is the most powerful.

Originally, the young man have a blue nine headed serpent bloodline just like the founder of their Royal Jin Clan which set his life on becoming the patriarch. However, this young man only came from the side branch, thus schemes of not letting him become the leader of the royal clan lead him into his situation right now.

From a blue type blood into colorless type, the poison still kept corroding his bloodline into nothing. The young man could feel the last drop of his bloodline disappeared. Tears fell down as he closed his eyes and accepted his fate.

If only second chance was given, then he would do anything to destroy and erase those people just like what they did to him.

————————

The young man opened his eyes, but no despair nor hatred could be seen on his eyes, instead confusion as he recalled his final moments.

"Was that a dream?" The young man blankly muttered.

"Where am I?" His mind was still hazy as he cannot tell whether this was reality or a dream.

The young man observed his background as his lower body was lying down on his bed while his upper was rested on the headboard. The background was not like the white walls and ceiling.

He looked at both of his pale skinny arms. There were no tubes and syringes that were sticking. He was confounded as he looked at his frail body that was donned with plain white robe.

Shock! He hurriedly moved his frail body to get up from the bed, and as he got up, he threw up a mouthful of white and black with blue clumps of fluid which made him fell back into his bed.

When that happened, scenes of memories were flashing on his mind as his pale face started to have some color.

After a long hour of sorting out the memories that flashed into the young man's head. He finally understand now that this body was from the young man called Jin Ming. Coincidentally, they have the same name as currently the one who was residing on this body was Jin Ming from modern Earth who was a patient of blood cancer.

He had a gist knowledge of this world that was from the memories of Jin Ming of this world. This was a world where people and other living beings can cultivate using their blood to become an Immortal, Celestial or a Divine being. In order to achieve this, one must be able to breakthrough the nine blood cycles.

But, before that, one must awaken their bloodline first through absorbing the vital energy in the atmosphere to purify the contaminated blood from the toxins that was taken from the daily eaten foods, applied medicines and other ways.

Jin Ming from the modern Earth realized that somehow, the fate of this Jin Ming from this world was the same to him which led them to despair from the indignant feeling that the death gave to the two of them. They still want to live their life to the fullest, and both of them wanted a second chance. However, only one of them was given.

"Don't worry, my fate-mate. I will fulfill your wishes and longing. I will seek justice for us both." The young man, Jin Ming, muttered as he was looking far at the ceiling.

"No bloodline? So what??"

"Every fate has its destiny, and every destiny has its fate — I was never able to get the meaning out of this, but now, I finally understand."

Fate is something beyond's control and destiny is something that is set. Two conflicting words from the same origin clashed causing chaos, and within chaos, what we call Free Will thrived. With enough willpower, one can change fate and one can choose destiny. Everything is not set in stones. This was what Jin Ming has been enlightened from the quote that he've once read from a book.

"Why would fate reincarnate me to this body then, if I'm just destined to continue this life as a mere mortal?"

Jin Ming chuckled as he asked this question to himself. He can't help but laugh as he looked forward to the exciting life that he will be living from now on.

————————

The charming face of the lady in an elegant robe was sullen with despair and disappointment was looming on her dark eye bags. Her two lovely eyes were puffed and red from crying beside the stern faced gentleman. These two were facing at the door which led to the young man who was becoming frailer as the days passed by.

"I'm sorry, I'm such an incompetent husband." The stern faced man looked down ashamed as he embraced the woman tightly with his arm.

This was the 60th day that the poison was inflicted at the young man who was at the other side of the door. The poison was called Samsara Days for it accurately kills the poisoned on the 60th day, and while the days passed by, it slowly corrodes the bloodline till nothing is left.

He asked his parents to leave him alone in his room for this day because he doesn't want to see their faces in grief as he passed away.

It was inevitable for this to happen except if they were able to find or procure an antidote for this. However, there was no antidote that can be found in a backwater place they are in.

As grief and sadness were looming on the couple's faces, crazy laughter can be heard from the young man who was in the other side of the door. The crazy tone of the laughter wasn't in kind of despair but was some form of excitement, this was what the two have observed as they were confusedly listening.

The two looked at each other and nodded as they opened the door.

The laughter of the young man halted abruptly when the door swung open. He saw the man and the woman by the door which oddly resembled his father and mother in the modern Earth despite only seeing them in pictures and vague memories when he was two years old.

When Jin Ming from modern Earth lost his father and mother when he was two, his grandmother took care of him. However, he wasn't still able to forget them as his grandmother kept telling stories about his parents, especially, on the last three years of her life as her mind slowly degraded and became a brain disease.

Life was tough for Jin Ming, at the age of fourteen, he worked hard and took over the presidential position of his grandmother's company tirelessly which eventually still led the into downfall on his last years.

The hard work that Jin Ming paid for just resulted to paying the hospital bills for his grandmother and his self later on when the white blood cells took over the red blood cells in his body due to the never ending over fatigue.

That's why when Jin Ming saw these two familiar faces, a lump feeling in his chest slowly swelled as tears threatened to fall from his eyes.

"Father. Mother."

The pretty lady couldn't help herself as she dived to the young man who was seating on the bedside and hugged him tightly. "My dear child."

Sobs and tears from the lady made the young man threw up the lump feeling that was swelling on his chest. Mouthful of black violet fluid that swelled on his chest. As he threw up, a mouthful of eery black violet fluid splattered on the floor.

"My son, are you okay?" The dashing man who was with the pretty lady previously rushed forth to check the vitals of the young man.

"Father. Mother. I'm okay now." Tears were falling down as a warm smile was plastered on Jin Ming's face. The longing to see his parents alleviated the burden of the life that he has led. It felt worth it to him.

"Are you sure?" The pretty lady's charming eyes were full of concern and doting while she double checked the vitals of her son.

"Yes. My body feels light and free which I guess I've vomited all of the poison out?"

"Hmm..let me check." The lady placed her two delicate finger on the young man's pulse and closed her eyes as a white blue aura slowly shimmered around her.

The lady tried to sense any anomaly on the young man's inner body. Jin Ming's body was now fine and normal except for his wiped out bloodline which really broke her heart. The dashing man could only sigh to this for he knew that his son would live a life as a mortal from now on.

"Father. Mother. I know that I have no bloodline anymore but please rest assured that this will not hinder me from pursuing the power that I had once more." Reading the thoughts from the facial expression of his parents, Jin Ming reassured his parents that everything's gonna be fine.

"They say that the Heavens always give a leeway. It's just up to the person to find that leeway and seize it." As Jin Ming added this, he clenched his fist hard as he showed his full determination.

The two were taken aback from the optimism of their son. "Haha! As expected of my son. I, Jin Duan won't give in to the so-called fate for we, men, are the ones who take control of how we will be."

Even though they really thought that there was no hope for the young man any longer, they didn't dare to show it and only wished in their hearts to fully support their son to the best that they could for they have already lost something more.
