Yuga had dressed casually today, but the checkered blazer he wore with that sling bag and pendant made his aesthetics appeal to his richness. He was handsome unlike many males out there, and he had a very pleasant voice which was nice to hear. I appreciated his smiles too, made him look even cuter. But he wasn't Michi, the guy I wanted to forget about the most while also missed the most at the same time.

I sighed, which I had been doing a lot lately, looking down at myself with half critical eyes, though I cared less about how I looked.

My outwear was a simple black lower matched with a salmon colored top. Was it a coincidence that he also wore matching clothes? I was a bit amused.

"Where are we going?" I asked him, as he closed the main door behind and started to walk down the stony path laid between the grass fields.

"I told you, the market."

"I know that, but where is it exactly."

He remembered, "Right, you don't know much about here now do you, well, for your knowledge we are in Mearnate, a small countryside by the Serura territory."

"Who owns it?"

"Currently no one does, it is a free land. And seeing that brother Razor is a Genero so obviously, he had invested a lot of years to keep this land from becoming a territory."

"Couldn't he just take it as his own?"

"He could yes," Yuga nodded, "But he didn't, since he doesn't likes taking up territories, his style, don't ask me."

I frowned, Razur's pack didn't make any sense, what were they up to anyway, and what was up with those second names. "Why do they even have second names, fail safe?"

He shrugged, as we walked by the plain green fields, enjoying the warmth of the sun, the pleasant breeze ruffling our hair.

"I think they keep it to hide their transactions or maybe they just like keeping second names, even I don't know much about them."

"But didn't you grow up with Min or um… Maunir?"

"I did, but then he was always very shy of giving away information, we didn't meet the others until a few years later. But I see that they know you, how though? I never heard that story."

"...well..."

I stared at Toto as he kissed Hoba's neck, who was busy sharpening his rusty dagger with great concentration, his mouth frowning a little. They both sat adjacent to me in my little safe house, around them bags of grains gathering up dust. I couldn't see Jiner, but I guessed he was nearby the stream getting refreshed.

It was early morning and the birds were chirping outside, it was a very pleasant weather to start with my one-week training Toto had promised me. I didn't even know why they were helping me though, they must have other things to do, better things to do.

"Ya~" Toto whined when Hoba didn't listen to him and kept on doing his own stuff, "don't ignore me Hoba~" snaking his arms around his mate, Toto nudged him with his nose, wanting to get his attention.

"Toto, I am working on this thing for you, so stop bothering me."

"Fine," Toto pouted, his golden eyes glaring at his mate, "ignore my existence for all I care." Then he started to get up, obviously trying to distance himself.

But Hoba quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him down, caging him between his arms, the dagger lying next to them, forgotten.

Leaning his nose to his neck, Hoba sniffed him with delight, "You smell so delectable right now."

"Aren't I bothering ya?" Toto asked him with a big pout.

"You could never bother me, I was just very serious about the dagger, don't we have a child to teach."

I watched as Toto's face started to burn with embarrassment, "Oh." He then turned to look at me and I fidgeted, not knowing what to do, as I just blushed in return.

"Then shall we start now, the kid doesn't need more adult stuff to see."

They both turned to each other in a similar manner, almost repeating each other's actions. It made me a bit awkward and uncertain, not liking as their keen attention fell back on me.

I hadn't known pain could be this painful, my body was trembling with the effort I was putting for just breathing, my back pressed against the ground and my chest heaving as a large white wolf kept its paws on my ribs, making my skin break under its claws.

Blood was oozing out of my wounds and my eyes were bleary.

The big bad wolf with white fur was none other than Jiner, but I was sure now that he wasn't the one who had killed all those alphas back then, he didn't have silver fir.

I cried as his paws pressed more into me, breaking my ribs in process.

"Shut up you fool," Toga snapped, sitting on the tree branch looking down at me, his eyes glowering at me with venom, "stop crying like a wimp, didn't you say you needed the harsher training, you said that so many times today before we started, so what's up now, huh??"

Toto's 180 degree change in attitude was always shocking and I was still getting used to it. I sniffled loudly, not caring that my tears and nose were running freely.

A low growl from the wolf above me had my attention, but I still sniffled, my chest paining worse than before.

"Get back up you f*ck, nothing will stop brother Jiner from biting out your neck, he hates weakling."

I tried nudging the big beast off, but my muscles and nerves weren't corresponding to me, they were really dead. "I-I c-can't move."

I remembered how my brother would pamper me so much, and this was hell, this was nothing compared to any of my experiences before, even being hungry didn't hurt this much. And Toto was suddenly spitting fire on me, his personality so different than earlier that it scared me to the core.

"Get back up kid, or do you want to join your family this soon?"

His words silenced me, it was not what I had expected him to say.

"Cat gat your tongue?" he smirked, his face representing the same malicious men who killed my family, tortured my brother.

"Toga." I heard Jungaba warn him, even Jiner in his wolf form loosened his grip on me. If only by an inch.

"Stop whimpering and get up, no wonder the likes of you are left to rot, I am sure you just stood there when they killed your family, isn't that how your story goes?"

"Toga, enough, don't go there." Jungaba warned again, I could hear him stepping towards us.

"Don't get in the middle Hoba, he needs to learn that in this world there is no kindness to those who are weak. He needs to learn to take a hit where it hurts the most. Or else he would never stand up again."

I knew he was right, I knew Toga wasn't a bad person, or he would have left me already, but getting back up was impossible, I couldn't do it. And however brave I was, it still hurt when he called me out on my cowardice.

"Jiner, claw out his eyes."

The silence that filled the meadow was palpable. The order Toga gave his brother had me shocked and trembling, almost shaking in terror. "N-No... p-please."

"Begging won't help you~"

And almost instantly I felt a terrible pain in my eyes and I couldn't see. I heard someone screaming his lungs out, only a second later realizing it was me.
