CHAPTER ONE

My name is Troy Frederick Kiberu,or rather Mr Bonface Tellence Magumba. That is what they call me these days.

Why is that so? Well this is how.

I grew up in a village called Nakawa in Uganda where I lived with my parents and three siblings,Mary,Josh and Clare.

Josh was the eldest and i was the youngest of all. My siblings hated me a great deal and my parents did no better . In calculation,I was the most hated person in the family and I didn't know why.

I was 13when I found out the reason why I was hated like a snake. Our maid Julie,was just having a chat with me since she was the only person I talked to alot. "Why am i hated by everybody, Julie". I asked her. "I am caned everyday and told to do all the hard work."I added. "Maybe it is because you are the one that made your mother ill"she replied out of thought.

I was shocked and I asked."what do you mean I made her ill".

She looked at me for a while before she said"On the day you were born, your mother suffered alot giving birth to you and she almost died. After that, your mother's body turned weak and she became sick upto date...to be continued
