Mom is dead

it was raining so hard, a young woman is seen picking herbs for her sick Mother, no doctor will listen to her by that time of the night even if she kills herself in front of their house they won't change their mind about her and it was raining heavily so she have to use the little knowledge she have in medicine to treat her mom

painting she rushed to their old cottage, "mom am back" said Ella, a woman lying on the tattered bed was found sleeping, looking closely to her you can tell how attractive she is but old age and all loads of work made her look like she is seventy but she is really in her late forty

"mum I got the flowers and some mushrooms I think it will be enough for us tonight what do you think?" Ella asked but there were no reply from the woman, "mom? mom?" she went towards the woman and shake her but the woman still remained lifeless

panicking she reach for her hand to check her pulse but she has none, still not believing what her mind was telling her she reached for her noise to check and felt nothing, she wasn't breathing

like a possessed woman she ran outside the cottage to call her mom best friend, reaching to the door of the woman she knocked like she is the owner of the place, a woman voice was heard from the inside "who the fuck knock at another person's door like a debtor not like am owning anybody nor my family" on a second thought the woman turned to her son who was sitting with her, obviously of her mom eyes her son said "I swear mother I own no one anything but I remember I asked Mr William to come today to collect something from me" the woman besides him gave him a death glare that sent a shiver to his body and he thought "who on Earth isn't afraid of their mother? no one" she gave him a eyes that said "I will get you later"

the woman got up and opened the door revealing the most attractive girl although she still still young the woman know that in the up coming years she will be a very beautiful girl that will outshine many and be the reason for countries downfall when she got back to her sense she was shocked and asked the young girl "oh Ella my dear what wrong with you? why are you here this late?"

Ella looking up at the woman who was plumpy but well kept and beautiful too and also her mom's childhood friend and said only three words "mother is dead" she watched how the color on the woman face faded and she turned pale, the woman not waiting for anything else rushed out of the house, Ella looked on wondering how can someone plumpy run faster than her and almost everybody in the village

turning to walk away her hand was caught by someone and she heard the person saying "what do you mean mom is dead?" turning around she looked at the hand holding her and his face, it's turn out to be her childhood friend and best friend Noah of course he was shaking while asking her the question Ella mom was like a mother to him too, she always shaded him from his mother's beating and he loved the woman so much more than his own mom

Ella sighed and said "Noah you better let go of my hand and go and see her dead body before I burn her and throw her ashes in the river" she got free from his hand and run towards her house

Noah stood there with one question on his mind "how could she not be in tears? she should be wailing and crying like she always do whenever something happens to the one she loves especially her mom" he remembered when he was being beaten by his mother as always for owning someone she was the one that saves him by crying and begging his mother

he looked on and sigh then he followed his best friend with one thought "what is wrong with this girl"

on reaching Ella's home saw so many people were there cos of the shouting of Mrs Smith (Noah's mother) Ella sighed inwardly and rushed forward followed by Noah with the same thought "these people never liked us/them now what are they doing here?" reaching forward she looked at her mom dead body and then at Mrs Smith who was crying she sigh and turn to the crowd

she looked and saw so many people there and saw none of them had any sympathetic eyes while looking at her mother's dead body she raised up her eyes and said "can you all please fuck off" gasps was heard among the crowds as they look at the young girl who insulted them

she smiled devilish which set a shiver on everybody there even her best friend was now afraid of her and thought never to be on her wrong Side in the future while still thinking he heard her melodious voice which is quite calm " what? don't you understand human language? or you want me to speak another language? well so sorry cos I learned none oh! why? cos am a witch remember? you all here have a fucked up heart that is full of greediness and selfishness, when we needed you people the most nobody came to help cos you regarded my mother as a witch and her daughter as a witch too cos of her beauty, you are all jealous and stupid cos am going to pay you back tenfold" true the villagers regarded Ella and her mom a witch cos of how beautiful she is

by the end of her speech, everywhere was quite followed by a big laughter, they were laughing so hard at her because they knew that a poor peasant like her can't do anything to them

Mrs Smith Being angry at them for laughing at her best friend child stood up and asked them to leave, not wanting to be at the bad side of the lady cos of her connection and her husband who is a merchant left immediately but not without laughing cause of what Ella said to them

Ella turn to Mrs Smith and said "thank you but I have to burn my mom and spread her ashes on the river prior to her request" Mrs Smith looked at the young girl with one thing on her mind "what's is wrong with her? she is suppose to be crying not looking like a she devil" am really Afraid of her now but will support her.

Ella burned her mother's body and spread her ashes with one thought "I will grow strong and I will make them pay I promise, I will become a queen that they fear and I will prove that my mom and I are not witches" the aura coming out from her body made the two people beside her shiver in fear

Ella left there with them (Noah and his mother) with one thought on her mind " why can't I cry"?
