10 Chapter Ten: The System Shop

On Dathomir...

Ventress had finally arrived at Dathomir and was currently walking through the forest of flora and fauna that she once called home. She made her way through as Nightsisters started to appear from the shadows. She noticed that some of their looks were like they were expecting her. She figured it was related to her strange feelings. She made her way to Mother Talzin lair, which was inside a cave. Mother Talzin sat at a table with a glass bowl of swirling green energy in front of him. She walked slowly as Mother Talzin stood up and almost seemed to glide over towards her. Her clothes also seemed to flow and defy physics. "Welcome home, my child". Said Mother Talzin as Ventress was conflicted on how to respond. She wanted to demand answers for selling her off but she was also glad to see her again. "Hello Mother...I assume you know why I'm here". Said Ventress as she gestured for her to sit.

"You are here cause you have seen a being that we thought was the ravings of a madman". Said Mother Talzin as she conjured a swirling mass of green energy that conjured goblets for them to drink from. "I noticed something when an ancient tomb was disturbed...and now you have a destiny that will ensure yours and our future but I'm not sure how". Ventress was getting irriatated by the riddles as she took a sip from her goblet. Mother Talzin then told her the vague knowledge of Lord Davoth.

Meanwhile, on Agamar...

The surface of Agamar was barren but full of the stumps of trees. The planet used to be lush with life during the time of the Rakatan Invasion but now the life was taken when Count Dooku attacked the planet, he used an ancient Sith device called the Force Harvester. There were some civilizations left but they struggled to make ends meet. Their main source of income was scavenging the ancient underwater civilization on the Crescent Sea floor that was unearthed when the planet was hit with severe droughts. However, orbiting the planet was a DH-Omni Support Vessel that was commanded by a super tactical droid called General Kalani. They were ordered here by Count Dooku after failure to secure Onderon. The ship was orbitting but something was off inside the ship. General Kalani was in the bridge as he was monitoring security cameras. The droids around him were franctically typing in their cosoles. He noticed an alarming amount of droids going missing and reports of blaster fire on the ship. It all started when they went to the surface of replenish some of their supplies from some of the towns. When they came back, the reports came in and when he tried to access the cargo hold cameras, they were down. As he was scolling through the cameras, there was a loud bang behind him. He turned around and look at the door along with the other droids. Another bang followed as the door had a dent in it. As the banging continued, the dents popped up more til the door had a gap in it. The droids had pulled out their balster as Kalani ordered one of them to take a look. The droid was nervous and walked forward to look through the hole. As he got close, a red armored hand reached through and yanked the droids head clean off.

Kalani barely had time to input what had happened when I started to pry the doors open. I stepped through with my Super Shotgun in hand, my Bryar pistol on my thigh, and the Cathar Honor Sword on my back. I had made a magnetic attachment on my back; it allowed me to carry the sword on my back without the need for a traditional sheath. I came to Agamar a couple of days ago and spent some time planning this.

A couple of days ago, on the surface of Agamar...

I was standing on the surface of Agamar, some distance away from where the Separatist were so we could land undetected. The clone pilot was taking off in the gunship while I slung the bag of rations over my shoulders, keeping it on the left if I need to draw my sword or guns. I started heading towards where recon told me they were suposedly located. This particular mission was one that Palpatine didn't choose but luckily the clone didn't check it. The purpose of this mission was to grind to level 5 so I could unlock the shop. Based on the novels, I read in my old life. The shop always had beneficial items that no one either knew about or had. As I walked through a grove of stumps, I wondered about what it must have looked like before. It then triggered some of my memories of home, walking through a park on a nice summer day, ice cream with sprinkles. I should find some but it'll be hard since it was considered a precious substances. As I was thinking about it, I heard speeders in the distance. I looked up to see a group of speeders approach, they were wearing biker jackets. As they approached, they started circling me as I just stood there. They were all human males and they also wore half face mask with various drawings of sharp teeth on them. One of them had a rusty robotic arm that was exposed. He started talking to Doom which made him the leader.

"What have we here, boys...looks like someone's lost...should be careful stranger, someone with your gear is liable to get robbed". Said the biker as they continued to circle Doom. I just stood there, doing a count of them. There was three bikes, the leader was by himself while the other two bikes each had two people on them. The ones on the back were all armed with a dirty looking blaster that looked like it was made from trash. Five people and they probably don't have any experience with fighting. But they decided to do this on a planet who already had so much taken from them. The leader was getting impatient and rode his bike closer to me but I grabbed the front of it. I used most of my strength to toss it to the side, colliding with one of the other speeders. They all spun around and fell off their bikes while I pulled out the Super Shotgun and aimed it at the only bike still standing. I used the Meathook to get close to the rider and blasted him with the Shotgun. While there, I pulled out the sword and slammed it into the biker head then I levered it forward, ripping the skull out and splattering brain matter onto the dead rider. I kicked him off and stopped the speeder while the other bikers got back up. I reloaded the Super Shotgun and swapped it for the Bryar pistol. I stunned the leader while dealing with the other two bikers. The one with a blaster shot me but it barely scuffed my armor as I threw my sword at him. The other biker was shocked as he looked to the side, but I grabbed his head and shoved it into the extra blade on the sword. The impaled biker was still slightly alive, so I grabbed the handle and yanked it out, the biker head on the small blade was stuck so his body followed before I pushed the head off.

The biker that was impaled was still alive, so I went over and jammed my hand into his gut, pulling out his entrails. I saw the leader get up, he must be stronger than other humans. Using the entrails from the biker, I swung him around and threw him at the leader. I rushed him before he could recover and grabbed him by the face with one hand, I lifted him into the air as I started to tighten my grip. The mask broke as his skull started to be crushed. Till finally, his head exploded in my hands. I checked my Glory Kill count which was at 14 now. I cleaned my gear and armor before hopping on the intact speeder and speeding towards where I saw the bikers come from. It took me a few hours but eventually I saw some buildings in the distance. As I got closer, I saw that it was a town, so I stayed in it for two days, gathering some info. Most of the people there assumed that I was a bounty hunter of sorts. So I used it to my advantage and as far as they were concerned, the Republic was never here. Most knew nothing of the Separatist orbiting the planet but a few mentioned seeing droids picking up supplies to take back to their ship. I got the location and made my way there which took a while.

Four days later...

I was on a hill overlooking a small town, observing a group of droids loading supplies onto a transport. On my way here, I had encounter some more bikers and managed to Glory Kill eight of them, bringing my total down to 6 . I watched for potential ways to get aboard the ship when I saw some large crates being given to them by some frightened people. If I could hide in one, I could get onto the ship but how to do it without being caught. Then by luck, I saw a sandstorm approaching. I got ready to go as it approached, the droids saw it, and all ran inside the transport. Once I saw this, I slid down the hill and sprinted towards the cargo. I got to the closest large crate and dumped the heavy artillery in it out. The sand managed to bury it as I shoved myself into the container. Then my next thought was how long would I be in the container till we head back to the ship.

A few hours later...

I had fallen asleep somehow in the crate when I felt the crate move. I groggily woke up as I remembered where I was. I stayed quiet while listening to the droids outside who were carrying me. "This is a heavy crate...did we load more stuff into it". Said a droid as another droid replied. "None of our business". They kept going as I felt the crate drop onto a solid surface. Then we took off and it was a few minutes later when I felt the crate get picked up again. I had the Super Shotgun in my hand as I managed to maneuver it to where it was pointing at the door. Once the crate was set down, I thought of something funny as I tapped the door with the barrel of the Super Shotgun. "Did you hear that...sounded like it came fro...OH NO". Said the droid as it opened the door and I immediately shot it. I squeezed out of the crate as I saw another battle droid who tried to run away. I tackled it and crushed it snout with one hand and punched the chest with the other. Then I ripped the head off as I looked around the cargo area. I found the camera and threw the head at it, destroying the camera.

I stretched for a bit before heading for the door. I opened it to see a lot of battle droids before me. I then immediately started tearing through them. Once I tore through them, I had reached Level 4 and got six more glory kills closer to Level 5.

I was pleased with the progress and wonder how many more droids I could glory kill. After all, this is before Kalani was attacked by the Republic and crashed onto the surface. So he had a bigger force then showed in Rebels. I went through the ship and killed a lot of droids.

I ignored the notification for now as the droids started shooting at me. I took the Bryar pistol out and shot most of them in rapid succession. I held the Super Shotgun up to Kalani head as he reached for a blaster but stopped. He just stood there as I wondered what to do, I could leave him alive and he would encounter the rebels as he was meant to. But with this attack, I chance him warning Dooku, so I pulled the trigger. Once he fell to the ground, I went to the console and contacted the Republic for a pickup. While i waited for them, I checked out the System Shop.

-Random Weapon Chest for 50

-Random Proficiency (will start at 10 for basic knowledge) for 100

The Shop also has a Sell feature where you can sell anything in your inventory or whatever you make hand contact with...

I was pleased with the selection and slightly felt that some of the items were OP, but I didn't mind as I thought of something. I ran to the cargo hold where all the crates of weapons and supplies were. I opened one and saw a crate of 36 E-5 blasters, I touched the crate and thought Sell. Then it just disappeared into thin air as I received a notification.

Holy shit, that's for a inaccurate piece of junk that doesn't have safety features. I don't know where the items I sell go but it must be valuable. I looked at all the other crates and a smile came upon my face. I popped the lid off another crate and saw thermal detonators, I sold them and watched for the notification.

Bingo, if I can keep doing this. I can buy a nice big place for me to live along with my women. I continued to go through the crates. But what shocked me was some were empty and filled with rocks. These crates were with the recent shipment I snuck onto. The people must have ran out of supplies or the Separatists just didn't want to bother sending more care packages to Agamar.

I looked at the cargo hold which was empty except for the crates of rocks. I checked my credits which was at 71,680 now. I was pleased with the new Sell feature as I wondered what else I could do while I waited when I thought of something cool to do. I ran back down the hallways, picking up droid bodies and dragging them to the cargo hold.

A few hours later...

A Venator star destroyer had just come out of hyperspace and one gunship departed from it. Inside was a handful of clones and Anakin Skywalker. He had just finished helping Obi-Wan with a mission involving the Duchess of Mandalore and Deathwatch. As they approached, Anakin saw a door open that led to the cargo hold. They went through it and the ship stopped for a moment. Anakin asked what was wrong as the pilot moved the ship again. The pilot didn't answer as Anakin opened the door to see Doom sitting on a pile of broken battle droids. Next to me was my sword, impaled in a super battle droid and my helmet was resting on the hilt. I held Kalani head in my hand, tossing it in the air while taking swigs from my canteen. Anakin was shocked at the number of droids. Some of the droid bodies were brutally ripped apart while others just had gunshot wounds and cuts. Once I took a large swig, I tossed the helmet to Anakin who was impressed. He handed the head to a clone and told them to keep it for analysis. I came down from the pile as Anakin turned back towards me. "Ready to go home". I nodded as we boarded the gunship. Due to the empty ship and me selling everything, there was no reason to do anything further with it. Once we boarded the Venator, I went into a empty cabin and sat on a chair.

I went into the shop and bought a couple of things. I got four Full Arousal Pills, three Rip and Tear Recharges, and fourteen Flex Gels which would help if someone I make an Ally was unable to handle my size. I also bought a Random Proficiency along with a Random Chest. Which brought my total credits down to 37,450. I opened the chests, the Proficiency Chest gave me Piloting which was at 10 which the Shop said all the Proficiency I bought would start at. This gave me basic knowledge on flying a ship which I wanted so that was good for me. The Random Chest spun for a while longer than the other chests did. Once it finally opened, I was slightly surprised at what I unlocked. I saw a small hologram of The Fortress of Doom from Doom Eternal, I was excited and felt like the System was being nice with my first Random Chest. As I thought about how it would work, the System told me.

The Fortress of Doom has a unique space-folding technology based on Sentinel Energy to reposition itself while remaining stationary. However as there is no Sentinel energy, The Fortress of Doom will require no energy to function plus there are some changes made to the Fortress. Once you choose to, the Fortress will appear in orbit wherever you are and can be moved anywhere...

Good for me, I've got a home base now that I can use to get around without being tracked. I kept it in the inventory till I found a good time to use it. As I sat there, Anakin came into the room. I stood up as he asked how the mission went, I told him that they were taking weapons and supplies from the people on the surface. I also mentioned that there weren't any other forces here. He was pleased as we made our way back to Coruscant.
