12 Rookie
As the light fades they find themselves in a large rectangular hall lined with stone columns and gigantic statues of warriors of all sorts. The statues were of both sexes and many different rases even ones of the past no longer known to the current world outside of stories and lore all lined upholding a variety of weapons.
A few statues looked eerily similar to characters he knew from shows back from his time on earth but he wasn't able to place them the most prominent was a pare of what he could only guess to be mages a tall male and a smaller female.
The male was wearing a set of shiny armor with, curved plates with sharp edges, which covers the torso and shoulders on his head was A long pointy hat reminiscent of an old school witches hat without the brim and he was holding a stay that matched his hat.
The female's outfit is composed of an off-the-shoulders garment that extends to her mid-thighs and ends up as a skirt. Her hat is pointed, like the male Mages, except it has a spiral on one side. She has boots reaching halfway up her thighs, a pair of gauntlets that seem more optional and decorative for the style more than for battle. A finally her wand has a spiral that is similar to the one on her hat.
kora stops and examined the two Mages (No not mages if these two are who I think they are they can only be called Magician) he thinks then he smiles and looks around to see if he could recognize anyone else.
As they walked deeper he began to examine the weapons help by the statues.
Some had staves other swords and shields other more exotic like sythes nunchucks Naginata, kusarigama and many more. (A/N playing ninja giden at the moment that's where these are coming from lol)
At the center of this chamber was a pedestal surrounded by a large formation circle. On the pedestal was a silver ring adorned with glowing runes that seemed to almost call to Kora.
They walked to the edge of the circle before Kora stopped them
"I think it probably is better if I went ahead alone and you wait back here with Punimon"
Nodoka:" O-" before she got a chance to finish her response
Punimon:" I can fight !!" he said as he jumped down from her arms "
" You to small to fight the boss right now but you can stay back and help protect Nodoka for me " kora looked at the small slime-like Digimon and smiled at his cute forces
*You can help him digivole to his rookie form by giving him some of your energy while it won't be maintainable for an extended time it will give you an advantage*

Excitedly he does this and the crest begins to shine onto before throwing out a bright light onto Punimon a magic circle appears under him and once again he's enveloped in an egg. the egg begins to spin and glow
Nodoka:" What's happing to him ??" she asks in a panic
"he's ok he's just getting strong enough to protect you, " kora tells her trying to ease her panic ( i gotta come up with a way to explain these types of thing its a good thing that she isn't invasive about all this)
[Punimon Warp digivolve too....] [ Gabumon]
As this announcement was heard the egg fads into digital particles and there stand Gabumon the rookie-level Digimon with his yellow reptilian body covered by a beast fur making it looks like a wolf dinosaur hybrid
Gabumon:" Thank you for helping me digivolve I will do my best to protect her," he says with a nod to kora showing a level of maturity that wasn't expected
"Thanks, partner" and he rubs the head of the little Digimon and wonders about the personality flip but decides to ignore it for now
Nodoka:" Be careful." she says before backing away with Gabumon
Once they were at what he could only hope was a safe distance from whatever was about to happen he walks into the circle and picks up the ring with no hesitation.
....
"well that was anticlimactic" Kora says with a sigh as nothing happened when he picked up the ring
*Try putting it on*
her shrugs his shoulders and slips the ring onto the same finger as his ring of lucii

"yes"
Suddenly the ring began to glow brighter making his hand impossible to see. This continued for almost a minute before the light vanished the only problem is so had the ring
"Navi what happened to it ?" he yelled internally in a panic
*Calm down it has fused with you ring of lucii giving it all of its previous powers now get ready the trial is about to begin*
As she said this the circle begins to glow and three monsters appear from within. The first a gold and brown floating monster comprised of head shoulders and chest with kanji for thunder on its faced. The second A Green sphear with the kanji for wind and finally a blue monster that was a face set on a part of downward-facing arms. some after appearing the three monsters begin to glow and were pulled towards each other once in contact the beginning to fuse and a white light obscured koras vision slowly the light faded and the monster came into view.
"Navi please tell me that's not what I think it is"
*Yes Kora it is exactly that given the other characters from that world found in this chamber it shouldn't be that surprising *
"DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT THAT IS" he yelled internally
*Yes its the Gate Guardian*
Kora releases a heavy sigh and pulls out his Wepoen the devil blade Yamato
"This is going to suck" and then he charges in
