40 the end part 5 (start to became long^^)

I enter the tower without sound or being discovered, as all the guards of the tower guards had rapidly migrated o the top of the tower, where the assault was given. From the quick glimpse of the Dementors reaction, the DeathEaters must have been able to procure some medallion. The ordinarily silent tower was resounding under the sound of blasts, torn rocks, and the screams of the fallen.

While all were focussed on the invaded and the breakout, I slowly made my way to the Warden office, throwing casual look on my wristwatch to confirm the path. I still can't believe that Wizards didn't think of it! After all, all you need to do was too caught the resonance of the magic pulse released by the wards, condense the particles released, and program the matrice able to gather and display a 3D resonance image of the space contained in the Wards!

Anyway, It seems that I'm here. Looking inside the dingy office, I couldn't help but bye impressed with Fudge mentality. I know that I have a hoarding complex, but even I know that if you can't have your peace of mind without putting the price in holding facilities!

The office was painful to look at. Dready raw stones with some cracked joint, letting the outside cold infiltrate, squeaky chair and heavily damaged desk. The only thing that sees somewhat in good condition was a drawer.

When I open it, I could see multiple small cases containing the personal prisoner effect; they may have when they arrive on the island.

Putting it in my pocket space, I sweep the room in subconsciously activating craft sight, to look for any concealed safe. While I didn't see any, I did catch someone about entering the office, making me know that this door also had some sound cancelling array.

Taking one of my knives, I immediately throw it at the door.

The blade easily passes through the fatigued wood, and impale the one about to enter, in the head.

The body would have crashed through the door, if it didn't turn into dust when it strikes it, due to its momentum. Turning back from the door, I started to look through some documents on the desk, not minding the cry of pain ringing on the other side of the door.

I had already seen that it wasn't alone but didn't bother, after all, who in their right mind wouldn't attempt to take a knife served on a silver plater, when the try to jailbreak.

Raising my head when I heard the door open, I caught the gaze of a crazy, and really malnourished Bellatrix Lestrange, before she also turned into dust.

~~~
I wasn't dumb enough to leave my knives without security features if someone not sharing my family magic attempted to take them. The carved snow leopard head on the hilt would animate and bite them, delivering a small amount of venom. The dose given was enough to turn them into dust, but not enough to make the process instantaneous, letting them feel their inside slowly turn into dust and mithril.
I know it a little sadic, but they did try to steal my thing!
Anyway, it seems the poor bitch wouldn't curse anyone, anymore. From the look of the small contingent forming at the office's entry, it appears that the Deaths Eaters were able to break them out, but need to hold the jailer until they return with their wand.
That another dumb thing proper to wizards, leaving the wand in the same location as the wizard.
SHaking my head, I finally give some attention to the raving dirty man.
" ... pay for that, the dark Lord will punish..."
I didn't even bother to listen to the hand, and throw a couple of bone breaker curse at the cluster of heads, bursting more than half of of the gathered crowd's head, like a ripe watermelon. After years in prison, none had the time nor the force to dodge. Even then, they had all entered the office and weren't able to move much.
Sending a second salve, blasting curse this time, I took care of the remaining pest, before turning their body into fertiliser, giving them a better use to the world they had until then.
~~~

The place cleansed, I made my way to the exit, before putting my hand on the external prison walls. Activating my craft magic, I started to run around the edifice, keeping my hand on the structure.

By the time I vanished one of the three sides of the triangular tower on eight meters, the building had started to release cracking sounds. Raising my speed, I entered by the hole made, continuing to swallow the tower's foundation.

When the second side vanishes, I could hear the ominous sound of the cracks spreading, while the tower still stood, supported by the wards. But as much as they hold, the wards were never made to support this type of strain, and I could already feel them start to give off.

To erase the tower's last side, the building strain multiply by tens, only maintained through the central staircase.

I was about to erase it too, before feeling the wards try to latch on me.

"Whoa! easy there!" I couldn't help but shout, while immediately jumping back until I feel the feeling vanish.

~~~
Once sure that I was out of its range, I probed the wards, discovering a second layer, not expanding further than a meter from the tower walls' past limit.
'The one who made those was a sick bastard.' Say I to CS.
-Yeah, While I don't have a problem with you killing other, sucking the magic and lifeforce of those inside the tower to power the wards of the island is sick.- Responded CS, clearly disgusted like I was.
The wards were not only dark but also clearly inefficient! The one who raised them wasn't able to convert more than 15% of the energy drawn from the prisoners, guards, and now Death Eaters in the tower.
Everything else was wasted, and I couldn't accept this. Taking out a 5*5*5 diamond, I put it on the limit of the ward, at one of the three previous corners of the tower, before doing the same with two others.
'Better.' I thought while nodding my head and crossing my arms over my chest.
~~~

The leaking problem taken care off, I kept my gaze to the top of the tower. There I caught a particular sight; all the Dementors formed a compact net in a half-sphere shape, just above the wards' layer.

'So those bastard are weak to energy-sucking?'

-That seems logic when you through of this. They, themselves feed on other purest form of energy, the soul. Either they need them to feed, or sustain the drain of the ward.-

'Now that you say it like this...' Say I to CS, seeing that there must be a sliver of truth in his words.

While I left the tower do it works, I take my time to study the wards, slowly coming up with their initial scheme, before tinkering them a little.

As the minutes' pass, I could feel them pump more and more energy. This could have only one reason; the one inside was dying one after other, leaving none other choices to the wards to siphon more to the remaining ones, speeding up the death of those still alive, forming a vicious circle.

~~~
Ten minutes later, I could feel the wards starting to fail. In between, I saw five attempts of Death Eaters trying to flee from the tower, but none could escape the clutch of the Dementor swarm waiting for them.
When the cracks started to intensify, and the dementors immediately plunge to me, it was my cue that the wards had fallen, and anyone trapped in the tower was dead.
Bolting to the staircase, I erased the last pillar which had to maintain the tower, making the rest of the building fall and crash eigh meter below in a thundering sound.
I could see that some of the dementors were actually trapped under tons of stones. Seeing the immobile target, I couldn't help a grin to broke on my face.
'Time to see if your hypothesis was true, buddy!' Before throwing an easily identifiable red and white sphere, say I to CS with a black belt separating the two hemispheres, to the nearest Dementor.
My version of the mythical Pokeball was only a pale copy, the try; thus, they were larger than the real one in their minimised form.
Both CS and I looked with rapt attention at the first one who struck the first Dementor. The instant it hit, the ball stuck, while the button at the centre of the black belt illuminated.
First deep red, the colour slowly turn duller, before passing naturally to orange, then yellow. I could see that the capacity was far from full from the still mild yellow, but the dementor, who didn't stop to release horrendous scream, had already burst into a disgusting black goo.
~~~

Seeing that my first attempt was successful, I could help but let a slightly maniacal grin spread on my face, as the swarm started to spill in the tower from the open-top above.

Taking back the energy ball, and collecting the goo for later study, I trowed it to the swarm.

The ball was soon followed by the three other I was only able to craft before. Unlike the Patronus, the Dementor didn't associate the ball with me; once I threw them; thus, they continue to charge after me when while avoiding them.

Only those at the font had enough time to do this, and due to their sheer numbers, those behind couldn't.

I didn't stay immobile during that time. Knowing that they would escape if I didn't take care of the problem, I dashed to the staircase, climbing the stair as fast as I could to the top of the tower, while still crafting and releasing balls at the pursuing Dementors.

I just discovered that I didn't seem to be much affected by the Dementor.

'How can this be?'

-Simple, their too weak to affect us, not only you are a magical creature, possessing natural defence, but also that I am with you also lessen their influence. As for the chilling air, it just doesn't have any hold on you.-

'Good to know that I have some defence against mental status. Even if it isn't complete immunity, that should be enough to warn us against insidious attack, and hopefully leave me enough time to strike back.'

-Let hope that we won't have to test this theory.-

'True.'

~~~
During the time I exchanged with CS, I had finally arrived at the top of the tower. Jumping on it, I Ran the length of the edge, closing the entrance behind me and jumping inside again, just before its close. I send a pulse out of my body, covering the entire structure.
A few seconds later, thirteen energy ball flew to me, summoned back. Looking at them, only five had a deep, intense emerald light on the button, signifying them fully. I stored them previously, before launching the eight other in various charge state.
Constructing a rapid hemisphere above me, I started to actively produce energy ball with a glass bubble charmed against cold. Simultaneously, the Dementor swarm gathered above me, trying to pass through the glass, without success.
