Yanmei woke up a little after seven in the morning. She had slept past midnight, hoping to still hear from Anton, but she didn't. 'Did he leave already?'

She turned to the bedside table and grabbed her phone, only to find several messages from him.

"I came back, but you were sleeping soundly. I did not want to wake you."

"The plane is about to leave. Remember what I said. I will call you when I get there."

"Don't leave without Iseul and Chun-Ho."

She gazed at the two bears next her and pulled over the cream stuffed toy. She said, "Yeong, I'm going to miss you."

Coming down for breakfast, Yanmei confirmed that Anton had, in fact, came back at dawn. She frowned, hurt that he did not bother waking her even just for a second.
