211 The Hunger Stage

"Mine, I'm hungry," Yanmei said in the middle of their sleep. They had a green salad and grilled chicken for dinner, but unfortunately, it was not enough to fill her stomach until morning. It was still 2 AM at dawn and she badly needed something to eat. 

Anton's eyes remained close. He hummed before he said, "Try to get some sleep, mine."

He hugged her thoroughly against his chest, hoping she would just go back to sleep. 

An hour passed. Anton felt he was hugging a pillow and not his wife. He woke up and indeed; he was holding a cushion. He wondered why he felt no breast when his hand unconsciously looked for one. 

His brows furrowed as he sat up to look around. After not finding Yanmei, he went out of the bedroom. He found her eating a cup of noodles.
