"Sweetie, what is it? Why are you suddenly asking to sleep with me?" Yanmei asked while resting next to Nari.

Nari was embracing Yanmei on her waist while Yanmei let her daughter settle on her arm. 

The lights were already out, and I left only the bedside lamp on. The mood was specifically set for their upcoming conversation. 

Yanmei excitedly left Anton after Nari asked to have company. The last time she slept next to Nari was back in high school, and that was because she was feeling unwell. 

"Mom, I wanted to have a talk. As ladies. Something, I - I honestly am not sure if I could share with Dad," suggested Nari. 

Her words made Yanmei sigh. If Nari was worried to tell her father, it could only mean they were about to discuss something her husband forbade her to. She expressed, "Oh, boy. And I'll have to carry the baggage."

"I'm afraid so, Mom," said Nari. "But I am telling you because... you are my mother."
